MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To manage and develop our community service department to ensure that all elderly and terminally ill pet owners receive help from our volunteers nationwide To lead and motivate all Community Service teams, encompassing the volunteer coordinators, the support team and the volunteer registration team to ensure an excellent standard of service is given to both volunteers and owners alike. To be responsible for ensuring a prompt, appropriate and sympathetic reply to all communications and correspondence within the department. To work closely with Community Service Manager to deliver a smooth, coherent and first class service to everyone we assist both during the working day, evenings and weekends. This post will require a good overall understanding of the needs of elderly people and their pets, ability to problem solve and experience of motivating and managing staff.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1 .VOLUNTEER CO-ORDINATOR LEVEL I & LEVEL II I)
To lead and motivate all Volunteer Co-coordinators Level I & Level II on a day-to-day basis to ensure they are properly trained and competent to deliver the appropriate level and quality of service to all petitioners when handling any request for help. II) Once identified, to refer any difficult and problematic cases to the CEO or the Community Service Manager for prompt action and feedback. III) To work closely with the Community Service manager and volunteer coordinators Level II to ensure delivery of our on-call emergency service both midweek and weekends and deputise for the Community Service Manager in her absence and time off.
IV) In collaboration with the Community Service Manager, to appropriately schedule the out of hours rota to ensure cover at all times for our emergency service.
V) To be contactable out of hours, if needed over the evenings and weekends.
VI) To ensure a Monday morning debrief with the Community Service Manager and weekend coordinator, to log, discuss and resolve any issues that have arisen.
VII) To manage and develop a mentoring scheme for volunteer coordinators Level I to enable them, in time, to progress to a Level II role.
VIII) To mentor all volunteer coordinators Level II to ensure they are reaching their targets and sustaining an excellent level of service.
2.THE SUPPORT TEAM
I) To lead and motivate a team of individuals to ensure an outstanding level of support is provided throughout all communications across the entire support team.
II) To support and mentor the Community Support Manager to help facilitate the delivery of a smooth, coherent and first class service to everyone we help.
III) To ensure any problems with volunteers are quickly identified, addressed and referred if needed for extra assistance.
3.OTHER
I) To ensure all relevant correspondence and communications across the Community Service Department are answered promptly and sympathetically.
II) To produce weekly reports for the Chief Executive in collaboration with the Community Service Manager, to detail work of the team that is, especially happy, unhappy, unusual, interesting, serendipitous etc.
III) To liaise with all other members of The Trust in a flexible manner.
IV) To be familiar with and adhere to procedures and protocols, disciplinary and applicable rules and ensure compliance with legislation (Health and Safety, Date Protection, especially the privacy of members, petitioners and volunteers alike).

Job description:
We are looking for a motivated Finance Officer to join our team and support the day-to-day accounting functions across Norfolk Rivers Trust and its trading arm Rivers Ecology Limited. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Finance, helping to maintain accurate financial records, provide timely reporting, and support project teams with budget monitoring. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone keen to learn, develop, and implement new systems and technology to improve efficiency, while playing a key role in helping the Trust achieve its mission to protect and enhance our water environments.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Financial Processes
- Ensure all financial activities are correctly entered into the company’s accounting system, including both purchase and sales ledgers, and the general ledgers for Norfolk Rivers Trust and its trading arm, Rivers Ecology Limited.
- Oversee supplier payments and prepare regular payment runs, managing new supplier details and bank amendments securely.
- Manage the sales invoicing process to ensure income is invoiced, recorded, and followed up promptly.
- Oversee monthly entry of staff timesheets and expenses into the accounting system.
- Complete and maintain timely bank reconciliations.
- Assist with preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns.
- Manage intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate and consistent recording across the Group.
- Support the Head of Finance with the annual audit process through preparation of required schedules and documentation.
- Assist with monthly payroll tasks as required.
2. Financial Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reporting to ensure timely and accurate submission of management accounts with variance analysis and supporting schedules for internal review.
- Provide regular financial data and insights to the Senior Leadership Team as may be required.
- Provide financial reporting support for clients and funders, ensuring grant-related reports are accurate, compliant, and submitted on time and in accordance with grant conditions.
3. Compliance, Controls and Data Management
- Ensure all financial processing complies with internal policies, financial regulations, and relevant legislation.
- Maintain accurate, secure, and up-to-date financial records, ensuring appropriate document retention and audit trails.
- Ensure GDPR compliance when handling financial data.
4. Budgeting and Forecasting
- Support the Head of Finance in preparing annual budgets and forecasting tasks.
- Collaborate with Project Leads to track and report project finances, ensuring a clear understanding of income and expenditure to support budget management, facilitate decision-making, and handle project claims and variance requests effectively.
- Assist in preparing and managing cash flows as needed, ensuring effective monitoring and timely provision.
5. Systems
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of financial systems, controls, and procedures.
- Support the implementation and adoption of new accounting software and related financial systems, including assisting with data migration and process training where required.
6. Stakeholder and Funder Engagement
- Engage with external clients, grant funders, and partners on financial matters including income, expenditure, and reporting, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Address finance related queries from both internal and external stakeholders promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with external consultants, such as accountants and other service providers, to support financial processes as needed.
- Share and exchange best practices and innovative ideas within the Rivers Trust network to foster continuous improvement.

You’ll be part of a friendly team at Home-Start Barnet, working closely with colleagues and partners at Barnet Mencap to support families who are just starting their journey with the education system.

You’ll spend time building strong, trusting relationships with local primary schools and become a familiar, welcoming presence within their school communities. About the Role
Fundraising and philanthropic advocacy are at the heart of GiveOut’s work. As Philanthropy Coordinator, you will be a key member of the Philanthropy team, supporting our philanthropy programme and working closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Senior Philanthropy Officers.

BACKGROUND
Church of England Birmingham (CofEB) is on a journey of growing churches at the heart of every community. Through this we are seeing growth in many exciting ways. Financially we are at a challenging point. We have had an operational deficit for a number of years and this cannot continue. The National Church has agreed to partner with us around this through their Diocesan Investment Programme enabling us to have the time, and resource, to tackle this head on. One key aspect of this is for us to increase our Common Fund returns (the giving from our parishes that supports the costs of our life together). We are taking a radical new approach to our finances which includes intentional reallocation of income to support the costs in our most economically deprived parishes and deeper relationships with each parish around finance through conversation rather than correspondence. Over the next five years we are hoping to be able to move to a financially sustainable platform which will enable us to better serve our communities in the future.
We have recently recruited a new Head of Generosity (who is also Bishops Advisor for Common Fund) to lead on this work and we are now looking to recruit the team to work with them. The focus of the team is to develop long term relationships with all of our parishes leading to:
- Greater support for our parishes.
- Increased generosity by, and within, our parishes.
- Increased Common Fund.
The current plan is to recruit two Giving & Generosity Advisor roles and one Giving & Generosity Support Officer role. Together this team will work with all of our parishes to roll out our financial approach, through in person meetings, and the support that is on offer as part of this.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary focus of this role is to support the wider team in delivering this project. We have 146 parishes and the Head of Generosity will manage the team so that all parishes can be engaged as quickly as possible. It is the Head of Generosity and two Giving & Generosity Advisors who will be carrying out the in-person meetings with each parish. Those roles will work closely with a range of people, and teams, across Church of England Birmingham so that this work is integrated within our wider strategy and parishes are not confused by multiple disjointed initiatives. This will mean working with Archdeacons and Area Deans, Mission Support Team, Ministry Team, Property Team, Finance Team, Community Regeneration Team and Communications Team as well as others.
This role will manage the processes that enable the team to deliver and flourish.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Being the point of contact for parishes and other DBF teams as they will be the member of the team who are predominantly office based.
- Develop strong relationships with parishes, and other key stakeholders, to enable the establishment of meetings, support around Generosity etc.
- Be the first point of contact for parishes when they have questions around Giving and Generosity.
- Manage activities and processes that enable the project to function e.g. a scheme to loan out contact giving devices.
- Support in the creation of resources and communication pieces.
- Keep the teams external, and internal, communication streams up to date (including website, and praying together). Ensuring that the team has a presence in all key CofEB channels.
- Encourage and assist parishes in the implementation of the Parish Giving Scheme, introduction of contactless giving mechanisms and related diocesan resources.
- Support the scheduling and support for training. This will be for clergy, treasurers and others.
- Manage the collation of data and information so progress of the team is clear and evidenced.
- Undertake resource projects.
- Support the Head of Generosity to respond to new and emerging needs and opportunities.
- Ensure a regular flow of team meetings and communication between the team.
- Coordinate team wellbeing activities in line with agreed pattern and linked to the wider CofEB rhythms.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The post-holder will be employed by the Diocesan Board of Finance for a fixed term, ending on 2nd November 2030, subject to funding.
Salary and Pension: Salary of £28,000 plus membership of the Church Worker’s Pension Scheme with 12% employer contribution. We are open to discussion especially if you are ordained and are moving out of parish ministry.
Hours: Full-time 35 hours (5 days) per week. Weekend and evening work may be required, for which the equivalent time may be taken back from standard working hours. We are happy to consider requests for flexible working and candidates seeking part-time hours. We are seeking a committed and motivated Head of Fundraising to deliver the OCT’s ambitious fundraising requirements. This is a vital role for the Ocean Conservation Trust (OCT) leading on the development and delivery of the full spectrum of fundraising activities to support our mission. The post holder will be a key contributory member of the Senior Management Team.
The OCT has ambitious fundraising requirements. In addition to the funds raised through the National Marine Aquarium (NMA), the OCT needs a more diverse income stream to drive its core programmes, through the development of appropriate corporate, philanthropic and donation initiatives.
The post holder will need to understand the core programmes and develop appropriate schemes and campaigns to build a wide support network to secure a lasting pipeline of donations. They will need to be entrepreneurial, self-motivated, team focussed, comfortable liaising across the organisation to ensure integration with activities such as communication, research, membership, publications, partnerships and data and information services among others. They must own income targets and lead income growth, thinking in terms of pipelines, ROI, KPIs and lifetime value. In addition, they will be key to maximising use of the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
Overall, this role will be fundamental in developing the OCT as the leading Ocean conservation charity in the UK, generating significant new and diverse revenue streams to drive the Charity’s ambition. They must be capable of moving OCT beyond NMA visitor income, building a resilient, mixed portfolio.

Job Purpose
The Senior Systems Accountant is a key role within Islamic Relief’s Finance team, providing ongoing strategic and operational support for our cloud-based financial system, Unit4 ERP (version 7 – Cloud Release). This role ensures that the finance system is optimally configured and maintained to support efficient business-as-usual (BAU) operations across the organisation.
You will act as the organisation’s Unit4 SUPER user and subject matter expert, responsible for system administration, user support and training, issue resolution, and driving continuous improvement. Reporting to our Head of Student Representation and Partnerships, your main responsibilities will be to lead, coordinate, and evaluate student‑led campaigns that turn Bath Spa students’ priorities and lived experiences into visible, inclusive, and impactful action - empowering Sabbatical Officers, student leaders, and networks to deliver on their commitments.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be expected to facilitate campaign planning, create and manage campaign timelines, content plans, and event logistics, coordinate visibility across digital channels and campus spaces. You’ll also translate Advice Centre insights and feedback into campaign briefs and advocacy actions (e.g., policy proposals, open letters, meetings with university stakeholders). You may also provide training/mentoring for student leaders on campaigning, inclusive practice, and impact measurement. Throughout you’ll track progress and impact (surveys, engagement data, case studies); report outcomes and iterate based on evidence. To achieve this, you will be working with colleagues across the Student Representation & Partnership, and Student Experience teams, as well as University partners.
Your work will enable the Union to champion student voice and evidence‑based advocacy on issues affecting BSU students, while embedding equity, belonging, and collaboration across the Students’ Union and university.
Requirements and Qualifications
Valuable assets include the ability to plan, deliver campaigns with attention to detail and time management skills. You should have a personable manner with a genuine interest and motivation in understanding of student issues (housing, cost of living, sustainability) and ability to translate feedback into actionable advocacy
Rather than focus on traditional education requirements, it would be advantageous to have the lived experience in campaigning, lobbying and evidence gathering.
This role requires the successful candidate to undertake a basic DBS check.
