What You’ll Do: 

• Ensure high-quality care in line with our policies and Christian values;
• Lead and manage the care and hospitality teams ensuring they are well-trained and motivated;
• Oversee the development and implementation of care plans
• Responsible for the home’s budget, in conjunction with the Head Office Finance Team. This includes local purchasing etc within budget limits;
• Manage complaints from residents, relatives and staff in accordance with Society policy;
• Engage with local church and community groups to maximise voluntary help and spiritual support available;
• Uphold the Christian ethos of the home through leadership and example. 

What You’ll Bring: 

• Management experience in a residential care home or similar setting; 
• Qualification in Health & Social Care (Level 3 or above); 
• Strong leadership and people management skills; 
• A passion for person-centred care and working with older people;
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities; 
• IT proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook);
• Ability to manage workload and remain calm under pressure.

Context:

CAP is a national charity that is driven to help release people from debt, poverty and their causes through partnering with local churches.  We do this by providing a variety of services: CAP Debt Help, CAP Job Clubs, CAP Release Groups and CAP Life Skills.  We also help churches teach basic budgeting and money management skills through our CAP Money course.  Our debt help service involves holding client assets. CAP is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. The continued success of our work rests on a bedrock of vital background functions, which includes the finance department.

Purpose:

The finance department is going through an exciting period of transformation. Working alongside the Chief Financial Officer and the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, this role will help shape the strategy and delivery of excellent forward-facing financial planning, statutory and regulatory reporting, costing and client asset management.

This role will be responsible for identifying opportunities for continuous improvement whilst driving efficiencies across the finance department. Taking ownership of providing potential solutions to enable us to strengthen our core financial processes, from both a systems and process perspective, whilst encouraging thought and challenge around our current ways of working.

This role will take accountability for the oversight and management control of the Finance Operations team, providing outstanding customer service to both our internal and external customers and stakeholders.

Accountabilities:

• Build and develop a strong finance operations function with robust internal and external controls through active line management and regular training

• Drive the annual statutory reporting process - developing a clear timeline, planning and negotiating with our internal communications team to deliver a high quality annual report for Trustee approval and sign off

• Lead the external audit process, negotiating fees, timetables and take the lead role in all meetings with the Audit Partner and their team. Use judgement to consider whether audit responses should be challenged or accepted. Prepare action plans and report audit findings to the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee.

• Oversee the CASS annual audit process, which includes negotiating fees, timetables and take the lead role in all meetings with the Audit Partner and their team. Use judgement to consider whether audit responses should be challenged or accepted. Prepare action plans and report audit findings to the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee. 

• Develop and deliver comprehensive and insightful regular balance sheet reporting and forecasting (capital expenditure, cashflow, liabilities and reserves) to support the financial sustainability of CAP, highlighting risks or opportunities to enable informed decision making by Executive Team and the Board

• Identify and implement process and system improvements, shaping and improving the effectiveness of the finance operations team. 

• Take the leading role in the finance ledger system replacement procurement, design & implementation

• Provide support to ensure key operational and financial targets are delivered

• Develop, recommend and implement cash and capital management systems and reporting

• Provide assessments of capital expenditure business cases and strategic opportunities to support and influence decision making

• Support the month end and annual accounting processes to ensure accurate reporting of the financial performance

• Advise the Chief Financial Officer on technical areas of expertise, undertaking research as required, in particular financial reporting, VAT and tax.

• Provide financial accounting advice and support to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis in the preparation of budgets

• Submission of all mandatory external surveys and reports as required by deadlines (ONS, FCA etc)

To manage IRUK’s switchboard and phone enquiry system and to administer the entry of data on the fundraising database. This will include processing donations, updating supporter details, maintaining supporter records, and ensuring that information held is accurate, appropriate and up to date.

The HR Manager is expected to be an integral part of the leadership team to manage the delivery of the HR strategy as well as maintaining and enhancing the HR service through business planning and projects, implementation of HR policy and providing day to day operational support on all HR matters.
Key Tasks

Provision of a comprehensive and responsive HR service providing advice, support, and guidance on a broad range of operational matters including recruitment and selection, employee relations, absence and change management.

• Horatio’s Garden Scotland, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital

You will be responsible for organising and running a range of social and creative activities for people with spinal injuries and their families and friends to enjoy during the week and at weekends, creating an uplifting, friendly atmosphere in Horatio’s Garden and garden room.

Currently the programme includes crafts, quizzes, glass fusing workshops, felting, printing, talks, painting, ceramic workshops, seasonal celebrations with lunches, baking, live music performances and social afternoons. 

You will need to be a highly organised person who is confident working independently in the garden and via Teams with the Events Programme Manager, Evie Redwood. The role is part-time, 10.5 hours a week, consisting of one weekend afternoon (approx. 4 hours), a weekday afternoon workshop (approx. 3.5 hours) and 3 hours of admin time a week. You will need to be flexible with your availability, working when patients are available – this can vary. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-driven, proactive individual who is efficient, well-organised and has an outgoing personality. You will need to be adaptable and happy working with a wide range of stakeholders including people with spinal injuries and their families, NHS staff, volunteers and many different teams within the charity.

Key responsibilities for the role of Patient Support Coordinator include:

· Creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, encouraging people with spinal injuries and their families to engage in the Events Programme that is organised in the garden.

· Asking patients what activities they would like to do.

· Working virtually with the Events Programme team to plan activities that reflect patients’ requests.

· Going into the wards to help patients to come out to the garden and garden room in hospital beds or wheelchairs. You will have training for this.

· Hosting creative workshops in the garden, ensuring all aspects run smoothly.

· Running arts and craft sessions yourself, organising social activities and writing quizzes so a creative flair is essential.

· Booking high-quality speakers, entertainers and freelance creative people to run sessions.

· Working alongside session facilitators to support them. 

· Coordinating catering arrangements and serving food and drinks.

· Making posters and updating blackboards to promote activities, as well as   advertising the sessions via word of  mouth.

· Building relationships with NHS teams in the spinal unit.

· Handling the administrative side of the role, including risk assessments, ordering materials and budget-monitoring.

· Collecting feedback from patients, their visitors and NHS staff during and after the sessions.

We are a small but growing UK-registered charity which undertakes projects that protect and restore wild landscapes, helping to provide a future for all life on earth. We use the skills and expertise of our multi-disciplinary team (spanning science, law, economics, technology and culture) to develop projects that protect and restore wild, natural landscapes. 

Our ecological work spans two exciting fronts: restoring missing species through projects like The Missing Lynx, Pine Marten and White-Tailed Eagle reintroductions in Northern England; and securing the protection of ecological restoration sites as a Responsible Body for conservation covenants through which we aim to set the gold standard, supporting ambitious, mission-aligned projects such as Nattergal’s High Fen site.

About the role

We are seeking to hire a dynamic and passionate Senior Ecologist to join The Lifescape Project, to play an integral role in the restoration of charismatic species to the UK and in landscape scale habitat restoration.

As a Senior Ecologist, your work will cover two distinct areas which are broadly: BNG-associated site assessments; and practical planning and feasibility aspects of species reintroductions.

Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience + benefits.

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Team Coordinators will assist MHST Team Managers and Clinical Leads in the operational management of Mental Health Support Teams by providing high quality support to staff members and supporting initiatives to develop our workforce.

Personal Profile

This is a leadership role at a pivotal moment in Screen Share’s journey. The role is funded to deliver our current Digital Skills programme, with a strong focus on quality, impact and evaluation. If successful, these will enable us to expand the programme quickly, positioning the postholder as the Head of a national digital skills programme with a larger team and greater leadership remit.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Leadership & Delivery

• Lead the design and strategic direction of our Digital Skills programme, Ensure the service we are providing is high-quality, impactful, trauma-informed and aligned with Screen Share’s 2026–2030 strategy.

• Oversee the onboarding and support of hundreds of refugees looking to develop digitally, including supporting with the development of their Independent Learning Plan’s and journeys through Digital Champions 

• Recruite, coordinate and support our digital champions and staff to provide high-quality online and in-person classes, 1:1 support and effective sign-posting

• Maintain oversight of multiple Screen Share digital skills projects delivered over multiple locations. 

• Trial innovative digital inclusion tools and approaches.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Impact

• Design and oversee comprehensive impact measurement and monitoring and evaluation frameworks to ensure the programme is most effective 

• Produce clear, data-centered programme and impact reports (quantitative and qualitative) for existing and prospective funders and partners 

• Embed continuous learning and client reflections into programme design and improvement.
   

People & Volunteers

• Recruit, train and support Digital Champions and volunteers in a trauma-informed way

• Line-manage staff kindly and calmly as the team grows

• Embed refugee leadership and lived experience in programme design, delivery and iteration
   

Partnerships & Fundraising

• Support our Outreach team in building and maintaining strong partnerships with our corporate, charity and government partners

• Explain and facilitate our Digital Skills employee engagement package for corporates and businesses in a safe and professional manner

• Collect and report detailed programmatic data and case studies for fundraising bids and corporate partnership proposals.

• Hold accountability for the Digital Skills programme budget, reporting regular updates to the CEO 

• Ensure compliance with GDPR, safeguarding and H&S policies.

Personal Specification

• Significant experience in charity programme management, with a strong preference for experience in the digital inclusion, adult education or refugee support sector

• Proven ability to manage teams of staff and volunteers from a diverse range of backgrounds

• Experience working directly with refugees/asylum seekers OR deep expertise in digital inclusion and commitment to learning from refugee experience.

We are seeking an enthusiastic person to be part of a small, busy Marketing and Communications Team that covers all areas of the charity’s work in education, residential services and community services. The post holder will take responsibility for the delivery of a wide range of marketing and communications activities to promote QAC’s brand.  As the largest service area a lot of the marketing department’s day to day work will be focused on Queen Alexandra College. This role also requires deputisation for the Marketing and Communications Manager in their absence.
