Manage our bank deposits at Flagstone to optimise interest income whilst maintaining appropriate levels of liquidity
Audit, compliance and governance
Lead the annual external audit and preparation of statutory accounts, working with our external accountants and auditors.
Ensure compliance with all relevant charity accounting and other statutory requirements, including the Charities SORP and HMRC.
Financial controls and systems
Maintain and continually improve Migrateful's financial policies, procedures and internal controls, including delegated authorities, segregation of duties, anti-fraud measures and reserves.
Identify opportunities to make financial processes more efficient, accurate and automated.
Ensure financial systems and processes remain appropriate as Migrateful grows.
Fundraising, funder reporting and restricted funds
Support the CEO and fundraising team with budgets, financial information and projections for funding applications.
Maintain effective oversight of restricted funding and grant expenditure.
Prepare financial information for use in funding applications and reports.

We provide accessible and affordable services, including counselling, family mediation, training and domestic abuse programmes across Birmingham, the Black Country and the wider Midlands area. Our work includes self-paying clients as well as funded projects delivered through contracts, grants and partnerships.
We are looking for an Administration and Operations Manager to lead and strengthen the day to day operations that underpin our services and help us prepare for our next phase of development. Working closely with the CEO and service managers, you will oversee the running of the organisation across our two main premises and other community venues, as well as manage the administration and appointments functions. This role provides the operational support to our service delivery, ensuring that processes, resources and systems are well organised and focused on quality, sustainability and a positive user experience.
We are entering an exciting phase of growth and are looking to expand our services and extend our reach across Birmingham, the Black Country and surrounding areas. This new role is central to these plans.
Initially, the role will be hands-on, with responsibility for recruiting and training additional administrative staff, fully opening our main premises and moving to a hybrid model of online and face-to-face counselling. You will also support the implementation of new online appointment and case management systems as well as updated policies and procedures.
As we grow there is significant opportunity for development, allowing you to contribute to how our services are delivered, strengthen our team and help us meet the increasing need for our services.

Waltham Forest CVS is the borough's independent infrastructure body for the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector. We help local organisations to be well run, well funded and well connected, and we represent the sector's voice to the council, the NHS and other partners.
We are a small team doing a lot. In any given week we might be helping a new group get its governance right, running a network meeting, making the case for the sector with the council, or getting a grant out of the door. That range is what makes the work interesting. It also means the administration has to be solid, because when it isn't, everything else slows down.
This is a hands-on role supporting the Chief Executive and, through her, the rest of the team. You will manage the diary and the inboxes, service our board and sub-committee meetings and take the minutes, keep records and systems in order, help with events and training, and handle the day-to-day office and finance administration. You will be the first voice a lot of people hear when they get in touch with us.
We are looking for someone organised and accurate, who can juggle competing demands and finish things without being chased. You will need sound judgement and real discretion — you will see confidential material — and a straightforward, approachable manner with everyone from a volunteer running a lunch club to a council director. Experience in the charity, private or public sector is welcome but not essential. What matters is that you can run a busy office well and want to do it somewhere the work means something.
Please apply with your CV and a supporting statement of no more than 500 words setting out how you meet the person specification. You will also be asked three competency questions as part of the application — keep each answer to no more than 250 words. We shortlist on the statement and those answers.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.

Location: Global Lumos role based in the UK
Location type: Hybrid
Reporting to: Chief Programmes and Advocacy Officer
Annual salary: £90,000 – £100,000 GBP
Closing date: Monday, 12th October, 9:00 am CET
Background
Lumos Foundation works to realise every child’s right to a family by transforming care systems around the world. Our vision is a world in which all children grow up in safe and loving families within supported communities.
Founded in 2005 by author J.K. Rowling, Lumos partners with governments, civil society and young people with lived experience to transform care systems globally and advocate for family-based solutions that help children thrive. We ensure that families receive the support they need to stay together or reunite, and that children grow up in family-based settings such as foster or kinship care, not institutions.
Despite clear evidence of the harms of institutionalisation, more than five million children worldwide continue to live in institutions. And a much larger number of children are at risk of family breakdown and separation – those living in poverty, experiencing domestic violence and abuse, and living in countries affected by conflict.
We are ambitious for children’s safety. In the next ten years, Lumos will enable 500K children in care to return to family-based care, while preventing ten million more children from experiencing family breakdown and separation – so that they can thrive in their own families. Working with local, national, and global partners, Lumos supports government-led transformation of childcare systems across Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America- driving systemic and sustainable change.
Lumos’ ambition for children is significant and will require the organisation and its partners to work in new ways – with a pace, drive and urgency that this moment demands – and that children everywhere deserve.
Lumos’ success will continue to be based not just on what we do, but on how we do it – our values. We embrace collaboration. We strive for excellence. We show respect. We always care. And we are passionate. We are Lumos.

Who we are
Nature is in crisis. People are destroying and consuming the natural world at a devastating rate, threatening the ecosystems on which all life depends. Birds are our early warning system, revealing the health of our planet and helping us understand the urgent action needed to protect it.
BirdLife International is the world’s largest partnership for nature conservation, bringing together 125 national organisations across six continents to protect birds, biodiversity and the natural systems that sustain life. Through our unique local-to-global approach, we work at the intersection of science, policy and community action to tackle the global nature and climate crises.
Using world-leading bird science, we collect and analyse data from across continents, landscapes and seascapes to identify the most effective and innovative conservation solutions. Our work conserves species, safeguards critical habitats and empowers communities to create lasting change for nature and people.
At the heart of BirdLife is a powerful global movement. More than two million birders, scientists and local volunteers help track, study and protect birdlife around the world, generating the knowledge and action needed to drive conservation impact at scale. Together, we are giving nature a voice and building a future in which birds, wildlife and people can thrive.
BirdLife International’s Development Team is in an exciting new phase of recruitment and growth and will be hiring for a number of roles to support growth and sustainability across the organisation – including this newly created role.
About the role
Reporting to the Chief Development Officer and working closely with colleagues globally, the Head of Trusts and Foundations will lead the organisation’s largest income-generation area. Much of this support comes through relationship-led, long-term, multi-year partnerships that underpin the organisation’s global conservation work. The successful candidate will inherit a committed and experienced international team, a strong portfolio of existing funders and an organisation with a globally respected conservation mission. They will also play a critical role in shaping the next phase of growth and helping BirdLife expand its reach among major funders globally.

Head of Housing Development
Location: London/Hybrid
Salary: £80,000.00 per annum
Weekly Hours: 35
Reference: YMC1237090
About YMCA
Founded in England in 1844, YMCA today is a global Movement and the world's largest youth-focused charity, reaching more than 58 million people across 119 countries. In England & Wales, we are a federation of 80 local YMCAs, based in over 700 communities across 168 local authorities, supporting young people and communities to reach their potential. We are also the largest provider of supported accommodation in the country — a role that puts housing at the heart of our mission.
YMCA England & Wales is a £23 million organisation of more than 400 colleagues, supporting the wider Federation. Combined, the Movement's turnover across England & Wales reached £386 million in 2025–26. As we grow our income and impact, housing is one of our clearest opportunities for scale: through our 10,000 Homes ambition, we are building a national platform that will let local YMCAs deliver affordable and supported housing faster, at lower risk, and with a unified voice. As we take this ambition forward, we are seeking an established and inspirational Head of Housing Development to lead one of the most pivotal roles in our organisation.
About The Opportunity
This is a brand-new role. Our Head of Housing Development will establish and lead our national Housing Centre of Expertise: the capacity- and capability-building engine behind our 10,000 Homes ambition. This is not a scheme-delivery role — local YMCAs build, own and operate their own homes. Instead, you will mobilise the talent and resources of the Federation around a shared platform for scale: guiding local YMCAs from feasibility through to investment-readiness, brokering the partnerships and expertise no single YMCA could assemble alone, and leading a single national conversation with strategic partners including Homes England, the Greater London Authority and Welsh Government. You will establish a panel of preferred development partners, support funding bids, and help YMCAs learn from one another rather than rebuilding expertise scheme by scheme. Success will be measured by the pipeline and capability you build across the movement, not by any single project.
About You
You bring real knowledge of social and affordable housing development, including structuring significant financing models, grant regimes and the regulatory landscape, alongside hands-on experience of property development projects and securing private and public-sector funding. You know how to build strategic partnerships, convene and influence people you do not manage, and translate strategy into coordinated action across independent partners. Experience mobilising change across a federated, membership or infrastructure organisation would be a strong advantage, combined with an in-depth knowledge of Homes England, Greater London Authority and Welsh Government or similar agencies. Above all, you are a natural relationship-builder who can represent YMCA with confidence at a senior, national level, while helping local YMCAs move further and faster together than they could alone.
YMCA is the world's oldest and largest youth charity. Collectively, we support 402,501 young people across 708 communities in England and Wales.

Our guests arrive having been told, in a hundred different ways, that they are a problem to be managed. Our radical welcome is the opposite of that — and we are looking for someone to help us sustain it.
Kairos Housing grew out of a shared vision between local churches in Blackburn with Darwen. Our mission is to show the love of Jesus as we provide sanctuary, build community and seek justice.
The people we house have often been sleeping on park benches, sofa-surfing, or staying somewhere unsafe. Some have had an asylum claim refused and cannot work, rent or claim benefits. Others have just been granted refugee status and days to leave Home Office accommodation. We offer a home, and walk with them until they can stand on their own.
Our welcome means saying welcome home and meaning it — a safe place, a bed, community, support and belonging. Not hostility, and not even tolerance. We publicly challenge the hostility our guests face and speak up for a fairer system as part of our mission.Everything in this job about compliance, rent collection and record-keeping exists as so we can provide that radical welcome.
The role
We need someone to take on the day-to-day running of Kairos Housing.
What you'll be working on
This job is for you if…
You do not need a housing background. If you arrive with relevant operations or housing experience, we would expect to appoint at or near the top of the range. If you have the values and transferable skills but not the technical knowledge, we will train you — including a fully funded housing qualification with paid study leave.
Key details
Office based at Church House, Blackburn Cathedral grounds, with the option to work from home occasionally, and regular travel to our properties. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (This is not an on-call role). Responsible to the Board of Trustees.
Benefits: 25 days holiday plus statutory holidays; 3% employer pension; full mileage; funded qualification and paid study leave; reflective supervision and peer support.
It is an occupational requirement of this post that the postholder is a practising Christian, in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010. Our guests come from many faiths and from none, and are never expected to share ours.
A driving licence valid in the UK and access to a vehicle are essential, and an Enhanced DBS check is required. We cannot sponsor visa applications.
We shortlist blind, and guarantee an interview to anyone meeting the essential criteria who identifies as disabled or has first-hand lived experience of the UK asylum or immigration system.
