We help British people during their incarceration, when they return to the UK and need resettlement services, and we also support their family throughout the trauma. About the role

This is an exciting time to join our successful fundraising team and support the generation of income for our life-saving work through charitable Trusts and Foundations.

Supporting the successful delivery of our strategy, you will be part of the team who has responsibility for maintaining our relationships with existing Trusts, conducting independent research into both new and existing relationships to identify strong prospects, assisting with the development of compelling cases for support across all our services and having responsibility for a group of Trusts under the guidance and support of your manager.

You might have experience of working in a Trust role and are looking to take that next step in your career, with the opportunity to independently manage a portfolio of Trusts and Foundations while supporting the team on new and innovative ways of raising income. We are also interested in hearing from applicants looking to get into Trust fundraising. A willingness to learn and work with initiative is essential and in return we will support you as you develop your Trust fundraising skills.

• Establish a communication process with funeral directors and keeping these records up to date on Salesforce.

• Ensure that all communications, across all mediums, reflect the values of the Fishermen’s Mission and our Christian ethos.
•  Working closely with the Digital Engagement Officer and the Digital Fundraising Officer to develop and promote In Memory Giving and storytelling via digital platforms
•  Work with the wider organisation including frontline staff to raise the profile of In Memory Giving (internally and externally) and providing information using both written and printed word to assist with conversations with clients and supporters.
• Provide reports and information as and when required by line manager.

Our Second Home (OSH) is a youth movement for young people with refugee experience to build community, become leaders, and flourish in the place they now call home. Each year, thousands of displaced young people arrive in the UK facing isolation, disruption to education, and limited opportunities to belong. OSH exists to change that.

Our work begins with residential programmes, where young people form friendships, build confidence, and experience joy and belonging. From there, many go on to take part in our nationally certified Leadership Training Programme and our regular Youth Hubs in London and Bristol. With the right support, young people return as peer leaders themselves – shaping programmes, mentoring others, and helping to build a self-sustaining, youth-led movement.

We are now looking for a Communications & Content Producer to help bring this work to life. This role is about turning the energy, warmth and leadership that exists across OSH into compelling stories, images and short videos that deepen connection with supporters, recruit volunteers, and support fundraising and events.

The Communications & Content Producer is a freelance role, working 1.5 days per week, reporting to the CEO. You will be responsible for capturing and producing content from across OSH’s programmes – particularly youth hubs, leadership training days and residentials – and shaping it into consistent, values-aligned output across our digital channels.

This includes attending programmes to capture photos, short-form video and quotes; identifying moments that tell the story of OSH; and maintaining a simple, organised content library. You will lead delivery of a regular social media rhythm, with a particular focus on Instagram, including posts, reels and stories, as well as adapting content for other platforms where appropriate.

You will develop and run a small number of recurring content series, write clear and engaging captions in UK English, and design simple, on-brand graphics using tools such as Canva. The role also involves producing a monthly supporter email newsletter, keeping key website pages up to date, supporting fundraising pushes and events such as the Young Leaders’ Graduation Showcase, and helping amplify partners, funders and sector allies.

Alongside content creation, you will put in place light systems – a content calendar, simple co-creation processes for staff and volunteers, and basic analytics – to track what is working and refine output over time.

About You

You do not need a traditional communications background, but you should be excited by youth spaces, storytelling and social impact. You are proactive, organised and practical, with the confidence to work independently and make good use of limited hours.

You will have experience managing social media channels and creating content for an organisation, campaign or project. You are comfortable capturing and editing photos and short-form video on a smartphone, writing clearly and concisely in UK English, and adapting tone for different platforms including Instagram, email and LinkedIn. You care about quality, but you are not precious – you get content made.

Crucially, you are confident working in youth and community settings, committed to safeguarding and consent, and thoughtful about how young people are represented. You build trust easily, encourage others to contribute ideas and content, and understand the importance of protecting dignity as well as telling a strong story.

Experience working or volunteering in youth, refugee or grassroots community settings is highly valued. Alignment with OSH’s values – young people at the centre, acting with not for, leadership, and freedom and acceptance – is essential.

Working closely with the Fundraising Manager and Head of Philanthropy, you will support a range of fundraising activities, most predominantly researching new avenues for funding within trusts, foundations and corporate partners, completing grant applications, carrying out communications and reporting to existing funders and raising the profile of the charity through representing Action Tutoring at funder or networking events. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in the world of fundraising activities, working with a passionate, committed and driven team.

What you'll be doing

In this role you will be the first point of contact with all of our wonderful volunteers, who are critical to the success of our work.  You will work closely to support the 5s to 13s Befriending Manager and other service leads to ensure smooth delivery of event and training activities. You will also support the wider charitable activity with your strong administrative and operational skills, including organising events, managing our database and general office management. The Senior Philanthropy Manager (Maternity Cover) will play a pivotal role in the delivery of its major donor programme. WomenMATTA delivers innovative services to women in Manchester and Trafford who are in contact with, or at risk of being in contact with, the criminal justice system. This includes one to one practical and emotional support, advocacy and group work.  

This post is two-fold; the post holder will provide in-depth, ongoing support to a small caseload of complex cases, whilst they also support with the coordination of the WomenMATTA Hubs. The post holder will also provide administrative support, ensuring quality standards are consistently met, staff are effectively managed, and partnerships are maintained.

1. Provide high-quality, trauma-responsive support to women in contact with, or at risk of contact with the criminal justice system.  
2. Support effective service delivery, staff practice, and safeguarding across WomenMATTA services. 
3. Monitor case management systems to ensure accurate and timely data recording, aligning with contract KPIs and WIP policies.  
4. Develop and maintain effective partnerships with statutory and voluntary sector services to ensure coordinated, multi-agency support for women.

Legacies form a key source of income for the British Heart Foundation (BHF), raising approximately £100m a year for our life‑saving research.

As a Legacy Manager, you will manage, protect, and optimise this income. You'll work alongside three other Legacy Managers, supporting the Head of Legacy Management to build on the team’s successes and to optimise the BHF’s income from gifts in Wills. 

​

Joining a thriving team, you’ll undertake a variety of work, including managing casework in accordance with the law, best practice, and BHF’s processes and procedures, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, providing technical guidance to colleagues and potential legacy givers, and line managing two Assistant Legacy Officers and our Legacy Administrator. 

 This role may also require deputising for the Head of Legacy Management. 

About you 

​

You'll either have extensive experience in legacy management within the charities legacy sector; or be a Qualified Private Client Solicitor; or be a Qualified member of the Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners; or be a Qualified Chartered Legal Executive with experience of Wills and Probate.

With high levels of empathy and belief in the BHF’s work, you'll be able to develop strong relationships with colleagues and contacts. With previous line management experience, you'll demonstrate first‑class leadership skills, supported by a compelling vision and the ability to inspire others, motivate, and develop a team of staff. 

 A self‑starter with excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills, you'll bring proven experience of working within private client / legacy management. 

 With high levels of financial numeracy, previous experience in a fast‑paced environment, and excellent IT skills, you’ll also have exceptional attention to detail, strong time‑management abilities, and the capability to prioritise workload and deliver to deadlines. 

 Working arrangements  

This is a 12-month fixed term contract covering family leave. We are looking for someone to work 32 hours per week, flexibility around this working pattern or the 32 hours can be discussed. 

 This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and at least one day per week, on average, in our London Office. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

St Giles is entering an exciting new phase with an ambitious Voluntary Fundraising Strategy for 2026–2029. We are looking for a talented and driven Fundraising Manager to play a central role in delivering this strategy and helping us:

• Diversify our income generation model
• Increase voluntary income by 15% across restricted and unrestricted funding

This role has a strong focus on Trusts & Foundations, Individual Giving and Legacy, with responsibility for managing and growing income across these streams. You will be an excellent relationship builder, confident engaging senior stakeholders and equally comfortable writing high-quality funding applications for five and six-figure grants.

You will manage a fundraising income budget of approximately £2.2m, working collaboratively across teams to maximise impact and income.

Key responsibilities

Trusts & Foundations

• Lead on Trusts & Foundations applications and relationship management, working with the Trusts & Foundations Officer and Head of Voluntary Fundraising to raise £2m per year
• Develop and deliver high-quality written applications, presentations and pitches for 5, 6 and 7-figure funding opportunities
• Provide excellent stewardship to funders, including reporting, meetings, visits and events
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to produce strong funding bids
• Work collaboratively with frontline teams to develop service delivery models and budgets
• Identify innovative ways to grow unrestricted income

Individual Giving & Legacy

• Manage and deliver the Individual Giving and Legacy strategy
• Grow income through single and regular giving appeals
• Work with the Communications team to develop and launch two national or local fundraising appeals per year
• Identify and engage Ambassadors and Patrons to increase reach and impact

Campaigns, systems & finance

• Manage appeals, campaigns and events raising £200,000 per year across Individual Giving, Appeals and Legacy
• Maintain accurate records and reporting using ETapestry, ensuring GDPR compliance
• Manage multiple fundraising platforms (e.g. Enthuse, PayPal Giving, Payroll Giving) and continuously improve systems and processes
• Work closely with Finance to set, monitor and review budgets

About you

Experience & knowledge

• At least two years’ experience working in a charity fundraising environment
• Proven track record of securing and/or managing five-figure grants
• Experience managing fundraising databases

• Strong understanding of fundraising regulations, GDPR and best practice
• Knowledge of anti-discriminatory working practices
