MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY 

• Identifying training, learning and development opportunities or needs 

• Developing learning resources, including e-learning and guidance documents

• Managing MA learn, the MA's learning management system (LMS) 

• Overseeing the MA's community outreach programme (Magistrates in the Community) 

• Coordinating MA input into wider magistrate training, both nationally and through representation on local training committees. 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 

Policy committees 

• Support the MA’s training, learning and development committee by organising regular meetings, sharing minutes and actions. 

• Propose priorities and manage programmes of work for the committee 

• Provide high-quality information to ensure that committee members and other interested parties are up to date with relevant information 

• Ensure agreed actions and decisions of the policy committees are implemented 

• Build and maintain excellent relationships with committee members 

• Provide support to committee members to enable them to effectively contribute to the work of the MA 

• Assist in the training and development of committee members 

• Agree and implement committee working practices. 

• Contribute to supporting the MA's other policy committees 

Volunteer support 

• Support  representatives in post 

• Work with magistrates to develop and coordinate learning materials 

Learning 

• Develop and upload learning resources to our learning platform. 

• Be the first point of contact for member queries about our learning platform and other training related matters 

• With the membership team, liaise with external stakeholders to plan and deliver the MA's webinar series

• Edit webinar footage and create transcripts to upload to MA learn

• Monitor learner behaviour on the MA learn and use this to inform learning development plans. 

Policy and research 

• Provide input to proposed policy and research work 

• Work with policy colleagues to translate research and policy into learning materials. 

Communications 

• Work closely with the communications team to support the delivery of the MA’s learning communications, both for members and externally 

• Ensure the accuracy of training information contained in MA communications outputs 

• Contribute to our Magistrate magazine, newsletters, website content, social media and press releases. 

Membership 

• Support the work of the MA’s membership team to recruit and retain members

• Assist in responding to members’ queries and provide up to date information about training and learning issues. 

Other duties 

• Contribute to team meetings, organisational strategy and priorities 

• Be proactive in keeping up to date with developments affecting the role 

• Contribute to other organisational tasks, such as support for our webinars and events on occasion.

The Head of Fundraising will work closely with our Chief Executive and will be responsible for developing and delivering a strategic fundraising programme that generates sustainable income and supports the organisation's growth aligned to ambitions. As a member of the senior leadership team, the postholder will provide strategic direction, lead fundraising initiatives across multiple income streams, build high-value partnerships and embed a culture of fundraising and income generation across the Trust, helping teams understand their role in supporter engagement and income growth.

The role will oversee all fundraising activity, including major donors / sponsors, corporate partnerships, individual giving, community fundraising, legacy giving, and fundraising events. The postholder will also have responsibility for overseeing and working closely with the Communications and Marketing team to shape compelling cases for support and ensure our impact is clearly communicated to supporters and partners.

We deliver essential mental health support in Hertfordshire, providing a diverse range of services from our Wellbeing Centres and other locations across the county. We help individuals experiencing mental ill health to make choices, find their solutions, build resilience and manage their wellbeing. About the role

As HR/People Officer, you will provide high-quality, accurate support across the full employee/volunteer lifecycle, while also contributing to employee and volunteering relations, and continuous improvement of our People & Culture services. You will be a role model for our values and a key contributor to a positive team culture

As HR/People Officer you will be part of a team who support a headcount of approximately 250 employees, 200 volunteers and 150 self-employed individuals across Hertfordshire. You will be instrumental in ensuring that all individuals employed or volunteering within Hertfordshire Mind receive advice, guidance in a responsive, knowledgeable, and customer-focused way.

Key Responsibilities include:

Employee Lifecycle

• Deliver a high-quality, confidential and customer-focused People service from recruitment through to leaving.
• Advise line managers on recruitment; selection, interview and safer recruitment
• Provide People advice for queries from the People & Culture team in line with policies, managing and or escalating complex issues as appropriate.

Systems, Data & Reporting

• Produce timely and accurate People management information to assist organisational decision-making. (ihasco, Breathe, Livepay, Charity log, etc)
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the HR information system (Breathe HR), including new profiles, personal data, annual leave and absence reporting.
• Oversee monthly payroll data collation, including hours, absences, and any contractual changes, ensuring timely submission to Payroll.
• Ensure Breathe annual holiday renewal and other system updates are effectively completed and communicated

Employee Relations & Case Management

• Manage employee relations cases, such as sickness absence, conduct, capability, disciplinary, grievance, family focussed leave, flexible working requests.
• Undertake casework, guiding and advising on relevant procedure including gathering evidence and drafting investigation reports, tracking case progress and ensuring communications and actions are completed.
• Provide consistent and fair advice to managers in accordance with policies, escalating complex issues as appropriate.

Projects & Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to projects such as employee engagement initiatives, policy updates, wellbeing programmes, EDIE (VIBE, Voice, Inclusion, Belonging, Engagement) and system improvements.
• Support quality assurance processes in line with National Mind policies and ISO9001 standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve people processes, recommending and implementing enhancements under the guidance of the People & Culture Director

General Responsibilities

• To support any member of the People and Culture team and to cover team absence as required.
• Note taking for meetings as required
• Promote Hertfordshire Mind services by attending events, campaigns, and open days to raise awareness of mental health.
• Uphold Hertfordshire Mind policies and procedures, including the Equalities Statement.
• Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Senior Leadership Team.

Join us at Single Homeless Project (SHP) as part of our Lewisham Vulnerable Adults Accommodation Service (LVAAS), delivering accommodation-based support across our properties in Brockley and New Cross. This is hands-on, day-to-day work alongside people experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantage, where no two days are the same. You’ll build real relationships with clients, supporting them to stabilise, develop life skills and move towards greater independence, while navigating the challenges that can come with housing, health and wider support needs.

The Trusted Assessor supports adults with care and support needs through strengths-based assessment, support planning and review. You will work alongside adults with a learning disability and neurodiverse people to understand what is important to them, identify their strengths, assess eligible needs and develop personalised support plans that promote independence, wellbeing and positive risk taking. You will also help people understand Care Act processes, personal budgets and Direct Payments where appropriate, while working closely with health, social care and voluntary sector partners.

You will ideally have experience of assessment, support planning or care coordination and be confident building trusting relationships with people from a wide range of backgrounds. We are seeking a motivated and organised candidate with experience in social care, support planning or a related advice-based role. You will be someone who understands person-centred support and believes in helping people have real choice and control in their lives. Main Purpose Of Job:

Project 41 accommodates individuals within the homeless pathway and as part of Oxfordshire’s Homelessness Alliance. These individuals have support needs including substance use, mental health and offending histories, but are able to live in dispersed accommodation in Oxford with a higher level of independence than in our hostels. The successful candidate will understand the trauma people using our services have experienced, and have a compassionate and assertive approach to building relationships. At Project 41 you will provide high quality support service provision, work with clients to ensure suitable and timely move on, ensure the health and safety and safeguarding of service users and colleagues, work in a psychologically informed way, and develop and maintain effective partnerships with relevant agencies.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

To ensure the effective delivery of high quality support, housing management and resettlement opportunities.

To develop effective professional relationships with service users that is trauma informed and compassionate, and which empowers and motivates our service users to make positive changes in their lives.

To work in partnership with support agencies to coordinate a holistic response to an individuals needs; this may include substance use services, probation, health professionals and adult social care.

To lead on identifying and applying for suitable move on accommodation, and providing support throughout the move and whilst settling in to new accommodation.

To assess risk and suitability of referrals for the service.

To be responsible for creating and actioning person centred, strengths based support plans, and identifying and working towards suitable move on.

To assess and manage risk for individuals and in the service, creating and maintaining risk assessments for all clients.

Reporting any safeguarding concerns without delay in line with procedures.

Work with the Team Manager and colleagues to achieve agreed contractual performance targets and organisational targets and objectives.

Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment across accommodation services; this may including room cleaning and clearance.

Manage challenging situations in line with procedures and to ensure the safety of yourself and others.

Ensure that IT systems are updated as required and concise record keeping is completed promptly.

To participate in the induction of and support new team members.

To contribute to a positive team culture which is inspiring and motivational.

You will lead the Skills and Wellbeing Programme at Oasis City Farm – Southampton, delivering high-quality sessions, therapeutic activities and workshops for adults and young people. This will include leading our Adult day service; developing opportunities for farm users to gain qualifications; facilitating wellbeing workshops and provision that build mental health wellbeing; working with the community lead to develop our volunteer and work placement programme; work alongside our garden assistant to lead on our garden project development, ensuring it is sustainable. This role includes line managing a team to enable the above strands of work to be sustainable and impactful for the wider community.

The role will contribute to the day-to-day operation of the farm, supporting animal care and site maintenance through these programmes and community activities in line with the Oasis ethos.

The Role

As a People and Payroll Assistant, you will provide a professional, accurate and responsive administration service across the charity. The role focuses on payroll and benefits administration, recruitment support, maintaining accurate employee data across People systems, and supporting wider People Team activity.

Supporting the People Officer, the post holder will play an important role in ensuring payroll, benefits, recruitment and employee records are administered accurately and within agreed timescales. This includes preparing documentation and letters, updating systems and employee files, following up outstanding information, responding to routine employee and manager queries, producing reports, and supporting activity linked to training, induction, wellbeing and inclusion.

Specifically, you will:

• Support regular employee drop-in sessions, for example on PDRs or Cezanne queries, helping to resolve issues at an early stage.

• Maintain accurate People system records, including annual leave, sickness absence, changes to terms and conditions and personal details.

• Keep People Team files, systems, intranet and public internet pages accurate, current and easy to navigate.

• Support the People Officer with monthly sickness absence monitoring, ensuring return-to-work meetings, formal reviews and fit notes are recorded and followed up where needed.

• Act as a People system superuser, providing guidance to new employees and responding to ad hoc system queries.

• Support recruitment administration as required, including using the charity ATS system, arranging interviews, communicating with candidates as required, coordinating interview IT requirements and assisting with pre-employment checks and shortlisting as appropriate.

• Lead day-to-day payroll administration, including preparing the monthly payroll submission, processing changes such as starters, leavers, contractual changes and overtime, monitoring sickness and maternity pay, issuing associated letters and ensuring records are retained for audit purposes.

• Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, pensions and salary exchange, maintaining accurate HR and provider records and responding to routine benefits queries.

• Follow up outstanding payroll and benefits information to ensure changes are processed within agreed timescales, escalating issues where required.

• Support employee engagement activity, including People Team communications, benefits presentations and wellbeing surveys, helping to promote organisational development and strategic aims.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• To be educated to A level standard, or equivalent, or able to demonstrate relevant experience in a similar role.

• To have a CIPD Level 3 qualification, with willingness to progress to Level 5, is desirable.
