As the Benefits Team Manager, you'll be looking after the day-to-day management of the Benefits team, ensuring they are best placed to provide a high-quality service to the older people we support across the UK.
Operating alongside the National Advice Line, the National Benefits Service supports older people through a dedicated team of Team Leaders and Benefits Advisers, who provide benefits advice, checks to identify benefit entitlements and form filling support for clients. Last year alone the service identified over £35m in unclaimed benefits for older people.
You'll work closely with the Advice Line's National Manager to ensure the service complements the Advice Line, and the Age UK network, by providing a focal point for benefits related enquiries.
You will also focus on maximising the impact of the service, so it meets the needs of clients both now and in the future, by developing and implementing changes with the aim to grow, evolve and improve the service, ensuring we are working in an effective and efficient way that meets the needs of older people.

This role offers hybrid working between home and our offices in either Blackpool in Lancashire or Ashburton in Devon (a robust home broadband connection is essential). You will need to live within an easily commutable distance of the office either by car or public transport, we suggest up to 1hr 30mins commute.
This role is a 35-hour working week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

About the role
This is an important new role reporting to the Student Support Lead (Disability and Inclusion). The post-holder will provide support and advice to trainees with a wide range of needs, including disabilities such as SpLD, autism and ADHD, as well as mental health conditions. They will write Reasonable Adjustment Plans (RAPs), work with partners to ensure agreed support is implemented effectively, escalate cases where appropriate, and contribute insight to help strengthen student support, inclusion and wellbeing practice across NIoT. Context and purpose of role
By 2034 Ramblers ambition is that everyone in England and Wales will be able to join a Wellbeing Walk close to where they live – for communities to come together and experience the health and wellbeing benefits of walking. This work is part of the strategic plan and business objectives of Ramblers GB.
The role will deliver the Walking Together Project across communities in north London, Slough and Reading. The role will engage directly with the most disadvantaged communities, where loneliness, social isolation and inactivity could be prevalent, through a ‘Getting Started’ Wellbeing Walks programme. This is a community delivery role to work with local communities to establish walks and find potential walk leaders within the community to sustain walking.

The Role
As a People and Payroll Assistant, you will provide a professional, accurate and responsive administration service across the charity. The role focuses on payroll and benefits administration, recruitment support, maintaining accurate employee data across People systems, and supporting wider People Team activity.
Supporting the People Officer, the post holder will play an important role in ensuring payroll, benefits, recruitment and employee records are administered accurately and within agreed timescales. This includes preparing documentation and letters, updating systems and employee files, following up outstanding information, responding to routine employee and manager queries, producing reports, and supporting activity linked to training, induction, wellbeing and inclusion.
Specifically, you will:
Provide a professional HR administration service to managers and employees throughout the employee lifecycle, in line with charity policies, procedures, employment law and good practice.
Support regular employee drop-in sessions, for example on PDRs or Cezanne queries, helping to resolve issues at an early stage.
Maintain accurate People system records, including annual leave, sickness absence, changes to terms and conditions and personal details.
Keep People Team files, systems, intranet and public internet pages accurate, current and easy to navigate.
Support the People Officer with monthly sickness absence monitoring, ensuring return-to-work meetings, formal reviews and fit notes are recorded and followed up where needed.
Act as a People system superuser, providing guidance to new employees and responding to ad hoc system queries.
Support recruitment administration as required, including using the charity ATS system, arranging interviews, communicating with candidates as required, coordinating interview IT requirements and assisting with pre-employment checks and shortlisting as appropriate.
Lead day-to-day payroll administration, including preparing the monthly payroll submission, processing changes such as starters, leavers, contractual changes and overtime, monitoring sickness and maternity pay, issuing associated letters and ensuring records are retained for audit purposes.
Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, pensions and salary exchange, maintaining accurate HR and provider records and responding to routine benefits queries.
Follow up outstanding payroll and benefits information to ensure changes are processed within agreed timescales, escalating issues where required.
Support employee engagement activity, including People Team communications, benefits presentations and wellbeing surveys, helping to promote organisational development and strategic aims.

Role Summary:
The Programme Development Officer is responsible for ensuring that The Girls' Network develops high-quality, consistent, and impactful programmes for girls and young women across all regions. This role forms part of Southwark’s commissioned Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and Domestic Abuse (DA) service, delivered through a consortium partnership led by Bede.
The post holder will coordinate and deliver structured group-based interventions for children and young people affected by domestic abuse, alongside partnership working and service development. The role requires an experienced practitioner able to work autonomously and ensure all interventions are trauma-informed, safe, and responsive. Training will also be given.

Programme Delivery & Coordination
• Support the delivery of 1:1 interventions in line with agreed referral pathways and safeguarding procedures, working within Bede systems and processes.
• Deliver structured group programmes, supporting the delivery of established programme materials and content.
