The Business Development function sits within the wider Corporate Partnerships team and is focused on building the new business pipeline, increasing the variety and volume of our partnerships, ensuring all relationships align with business objectives to deliver for the partner and for children. Working closely with the Head of Partnerships and Fundraising, we’re looking for a Trusts and Foundations Manager to join our small team at a critical growth point to build and deliver a Trusts Fundraising Strategy (currently projected to generate c.£600K in 2027) laying the groundwork for long term, sustainable income generation as part of our wider Fundraising Strategy.
This is a new role for someone with substantial experience working in Trusts Fundraising, as well as strong project development skills, who can take our fledgling portfolio of funders and transform it into a pool of engaged supporters invested in MRF’s work in the long-term. You will have a demonstrable track record of securing five-six figure sums, the ability to create propositions in collaboration with programmatic colleagues, and the confidence to present compelling cases for support to a range of philanthropic organisations. You will also have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, a keen eye for connecting philanthropic organisations to the right projects to develop meaningful relationships, and the skills to deliver high-quality, detailed bids to further our strategic objectives.

About the role
Guided by Nene Park Trust's Business Plan and Fundraising Strategy, the Head of Fundraising will lead and develop a comprehensive fundraising programme across all income streams. The Role

Process and reconcile donations across multiple income streams, ensuring accurate records, timely donor acknowledgements and effective supporter stewardship while maintaining alignment with finance systems.
Produce and analyse fundraising performance reports, dashboards and KPIs, providing data-driven insights, income forecasting and trend analysis to support strategic planning, budgeting and decision-making.
Deliver excellent supporter care through the effective management of donor enquiries, communications and stewardship activities, ensuring GDPR compliance, strong supporter engagement and the timely resolution of donor-related matters.

Essential Criteria:
Experience working with fundraising CRM systems such as Beacon, Raiser's Edge etc
Strong data management, analysis and reporting skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and proficiency with reporting tools.

Knowledge of GDPR, data protection and fundraising compliance requirements.

Fundraising Delivery
· Deliver challenge and community fundraising campaigns and events that achieve agreed income and participation targets.
