About the Role

As a Challenge Events Officer you will support the delivery and growth of MDUK's challenge events and community fundraising programme, helping to achieve fundraising targets through high-quality event management and exceptional supporter engagement. The role involves coordinating challenge events, driving participant recruitment and income generation, and delivering inspiring stewardship journeys that enhance the supporter experience, build long-term relationships, and encourage ongoing involvement with the charity.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Support the planning and delivery of challenge events, including participant recruitment, event logistics coordination, and supporter stewardship to maximise fundraising income.
• Manage participant recruitment, volunteer coordination, event logistics, and supporter communications to ensure successful event delivery and achievement of income targets.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and stewardship activities to deliver an outstanding supporter experience and strong fundraising outcomes.
• Assess event applications, identify high-potential fundraisers, and provide tailored support to help participants achieve and exceed their fundraising goals.
• Assist with participant stewardship, supporter communications, and fundraising activities to support the successful delivery of large-scale challenge events.
• Work collaboratively to increase participation opportunities and improve accessibility across the challenge events portfolio.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of supporter journeys, increasing engagement, retention, and fundraising performance through effective stewardship and automation.
• Act as a first point of contact for fundraising enquiries, providing guidance, support, and signposting to relevant colleagues when required.

Other responsibilities:

• Ensure all personal data is handled securely, ethically, and in line with the Data Protection Act.
• To represent the charity externally if required and to undertake other such tasks as required by the line manager.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSBILITIES

BENEFICIARIES:

· Be the first point of reference for beneficiary enquires and queries regarding the charity application process.

· Support the beneficiary manager in all aspects of the application process for the charity, to ensure a consistent high level of service delivery and administration.

 

· Ensure accurately maintained beneficiary records in accordance with GDPR and data protection guidelines.

 

FUNDRAISING:

· Provide administrative support to the events and fundraising manager as required

· Take ownership of the charity supporter / donor thank you process, in conjunction with the events and fundraising manager.

· Support on the wider charity events, such as the Bright Star Ball, Boparan Golf and Football Tournament.

SOCIAL MEDIA / WEBSITE UPDATES:

· In conjunction with the Charity Director, develop a social media / website calendar. Ensuring consistent year-round messaging for the charity supporters.

ADMINISTRATION:

· Oversee the charity office space, ensuring everything is kept in a tidy and good order for the wider team.

OTHER DUTIES:

· Undertake other reasonably requested duties under the direction of the Charity Director.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCES REQUIRED:

· Previous charity experience desirable.

· Ability to work independently but also as part of a highly motivated team.

Cleveland Independant Stalking Advocates deliver high-quality advocacy, advice, and emotional support to victims of stalking across Cleveland. The position will support victims to navigate the criminal justice system (CJS), civil and family courts, and wider statutory and voluntary services. The role will also involve multi-agency collaboration, risk assessment, safety planning, and supporting victims to understand and exercise their rights.

The postholder will support the Cleveland satellite project, which operates independently and remotely from the Suzy Lamplugh Trust’s main office. The postholder will be responsible for casework assigned to Cleveland and promoting stalking services available to Cleveland

As our Grants, Contracts and Commissioning Lead, you'll grow our income from two connected routes: grants from charitable trusts and foundations, and statutory and commissioned income secured through contracts, tenders and procurement. You'll be expected to at least sustain our current grants and contracts turnover, with real ambition to grow it by a further 10-20%.

This newly created role owns the full grants and contracts cycle — identifying opportunities, managing the pipeline, project-managing complex bids and writing tailored, persuasive applications. You'll be well supported: subject matter experts across the organisation will provide technical content for bids, budgets are prepared alongside finance, and our CEO and directors front the most senior funder relationships.

What you'll be doing

• Delivering a pipeline of high-quality grant and statutory/commissioned bids to meet agreed income targets, prioritising by value, likelihood and strategic fit
• Researching and identifying trust and foundation funding opportunities, and writing compelling, tailored proposals drawing on our impact data and stories
• Developing income from government, health and other commissioning bodies, including preparing and submitting tenders and procurement responses such as ITTs and PQQs
• Monitoring funding trends and emerging opportunities, including the developing commissioning landscape under the statutory gambling levy
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with funders, and developing stewardship plans to maximise engagement and retention
• Project-managing complex, multi-stage bids: planning timelines, coordinating stakeholders and turning colleagues' technical input into funder-ready copy
• Maintaining accurate pipeline and reporting records, and tracking progress against income targets
• Contributing to annual planning, budgeting and our wider income-generation strategy

What we're looking for

We're interested in hearing from candidates who have:

• A proven track record of securing significant and/or multi-year income from trusts, foundations or statutory funders
• Exceptional bid-writing skills: clear, persuasive, carefully edited proposals tailored to different funder audiences
• Experience project-managing complex bids, coordinating stakeholders and gathering technical content through multi-stage application processes
• An understanding of statutory funding and commissioning processes, including tendering and procurement routes such as ITTs and PQQs
• Excellent relationship management with funders or external stakeholders
• Strong numeracy and experience preparing budgets for funders
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Knowledge of the gambling harms, addiction, health or social welfare sectors would be advantageous, as would experience working in a small or growing charity, familiarity with CRM and fundraising databases, and experience contributing to a wider income-generation strategy.

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced IDVA Team Leader to join Birmingham's new Family IDVA Service. This is a part-time role, working 30 hours per week, and offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery and development of an innovative city-wide service supporting parents aged 16+ and their children under 18 who are affected by domestic abuse.

Based within Birmingham's Family Hubs, the service will provide specialist, trauma-informed domestic abuse support to families at the earliest opportunity, helping to prevent escalation of harm and improve safety, resilience and wellbeing. The IDVA Team Leader will help ensure that families receive a flexible, whole-family response, with the voices and needs of both parents and children remaining central to assessment, safety planning and support.

In this role, you will provide leadership and day-to-day support to a team of Family IDVAs, helping to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe and effective services. You will line manage a team of frontline practitioners, providing supervision, coaching, case guidance and performance support, while promoting a positive, confident and resilient team culture. You will also support the Operations Manager with the effective running and development of the service. This will include supporting case allocation, monitoring caseloads, undertaking case reviews and audits, ensuring accurate recording on case management systems, and contributing to performance reporting against service standards, contractual requirements and KPIs. You will use data, quality assurance and learning from practice to help identify trends, strengthen service delivery and support continuous improvement.

You will provide advice and guidance to colleagues around safeguarding, risk and case complexity, ensuring the service prioritises the safety, dignity and individual needs of families. Partnership working will be central to this role. You will work closely with Birmingham Children's Trust, Family Hubs, Early Help, education, health, community organisations and other statutory and voluntary sector partners to strengthen referral pathways, promote access to support and improve coordinated responses for families affected by domestic abuse. You will also contribute to the service's training and engagement offer, helping to build awareness and understanding of domestic abuse amongst professionals across Birmingham's family support system.

• Organise and coordinate team meetings, including scheduling and agendas

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced IDVA Team Leader to join Birmingham's new Family IDVA Service. This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, and offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery and development of an innovative city-wide service supporting parents aged 16+ and their children under 18 who are affected by domestic abuse.

Based within Birmingham's Family Hubs, the service will provide specialist, trauma-informed domestic abuse support to families at the earliest opportunity, helping to prevent escalation of harm and improve safety, resilience and wellbeing. The IDVA Team Leader will help ensure that families receive a flexible, whole-family response, with the voices and needs of both parents and children remaining central to assessment, safety planning and support.

In this role, you will provide leadership and day-to-day support to a team of Family IDVAs, helping to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe and effective services. You will line manage a team of frontline practitioners, providing supervision, coaching, case guidance and performance support, while promoting a positive, confident and resilient team culture. You will also support the Operations Manager with the effective running and development of the service. This will include supporting case allocation, monitoring caseloads, undertaking case reviews and audits, ensuring accurate recording on case management systems, and contributing to performance reporting against service standards, contractual requirements and KPIs. You will use data, quality assurance and learning from practice to help identify trends, strengthen service delivery and support continuous improvement.

You will provide advice and guidance to colleagues around safeguarding, risk and case complexity, ensuring the service prioritises the safety, dignity and individual needs of families. Partnership working will be central to this role. You will work closely with Birmingham Children's Trust, Family Hubs, Early Help, education, health, community organisations and other statutory and voluntary sector partners to strengthen referral pathways, promote access to support and improve coordinated responses for families affected by domestic abuse. You will also contribute to the service's training and engagement offer, helping to build awareness and understanding of domestic abuse amongst professionals across Birmingham's family support system.

Race Against Dementia is a global charity founded by three-time Formula 1 World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart OBE to find preventions, treatments and cures for dementia – faster. 

We fund and support pioneering early-career scientists around the world, giving them the tools, mentoring and Formula 1-inspired mindset to accelerate breakthroughs. From the UK to the USA, Australia to South Africa, our researchers are rethinking how dementia research is done – applying data science, AI and engineering to neuroscience in bold, collaborative ways. 

Purpose of the role

The Supporter Engagement Officer plays a key role in making sure everyone who supports Race Against Dementia has a positive and rewarding experience. They will manage day-to-day supporter communications, maintain our supporter database, and build strong relationships with donors, fundraisers and volunteers around the world. By helping people feel valued and connected to our mission, they will help inspire long -term support and generate more funding for dementia research.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supporter care and fundraising

• Act as the first point of contact for supporters and fundraisers, delivering timely, professional and friendly stewardship via phone, email and post .
• Manage supporter journeys from sign-up to thank you, using tailored communications and automated journeys to maximise engagement and fundraising success.
• Record and track fundraising activity, ensuring accurate records and effective supporter communications.
• Prepare and send thank you letters, receipts and other supporter communications.
• Plan and deliver small-scale supporter engagement events, maximising both experience and fundraising potential.
• Recruit, coordinate and steward fundraising volunteers across the year. 

CRM and donor management

• Maintain accurate supporter and donation records within the CRM (Salesforce), acting as the organisational lead for CRM best practice.
• Develop dashboards and reports to monitor supporter activity, fundraising performance and trends.
• Maintain CRM integrations, ensuring data flows accurately and reliably between connected systems.
• Produce regular insights and reporting to inform fundraising strategy and decision making.
• Manage fundraising platforms (e.g. JustGiving, MuchLoved and GivenGain), ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
• Work with the Finance Manager to process monthly direct debits and reconcile income.
• Coordinate legacy and in -memory giving administration, providing sensitive and thoughtful supporter stewardship. 

Operations and administration

• Manage stocks of fundraising materials and merchandise, ensuring timely reordering.
• Oversee the fulfilment house relationship to ensure the efficient delivery of supporter packs and merchandise.
• Manage auction and raffle prize inventories, tracking usage and income.
• Support the planning and delivery of Race Against Dementia fundraising events, providing logistical and operational support.
• Maintain team calendars, campaign plans and shared resources to support effective team operations.

Other Duties

Carry out any other duties as required by your manager, Director, CEO and Board of Trustees including:

• To attend, where appropriate, local, regional and national meetings /events.
• To maintain a good knowledge of national and local initiatives which are of benefit to Race Against Dementia .
• To administer your own workload, including meeting targets and deadlines in line with the Race Against Dementia appraisal system.
• To a ttend relevant CPD training events as required.
• To undertake responsibility, as part of the team, for all Hea lth and Safety work related matters.
• To w ork within the guidelines of Race Against Dementia’s policies and procedures.

Nelson’s Journey, Norfolk’s leading child bereavement charity, is seeking an inspiring and focussed individual to join its fundraising and marketing team, responsible for raising funds required for the support of bereaved children and young people. The team is particularly seeking to appoint a candidate who can lead on managing the charity’s annual plan of events, to raise funds and publicise the charity’s work in the community

To thrive in this role, you'll need hands-on experience of facilitating groups or meetings and an understanding of what great facilitation looks like. Your presentation skills should engage, inspire, and inform with clarity and warmth, whether you’re speaking with a room full of volunteers, delivering training via Zoom, or presenting to our partnership organisations. You’ll be required to help grow our footprint, increase and diversify our partnerships and encourage the uptake of our programme. You will represent UKSR at community events, recovery walks and conferences and get involved in defined projects.

Previous delivery of training is essential, and if that experience has been gained in a peer-support or recovery setting, all the better. This role requires emotional intelligence; you’ll be working with people who have faced adversity, and your ability to support them within clear, professional boundaries is critical. Giving and receiving feedback, gathering data and other evidence to inform service development, and exercising reflective practice are all essential attributes.

You’ll also contribute to key projects that move SMART Recovery forward, adding your voice and insight to help shape what comes next. The role therefore requires project mangement skills as you will work on specific projects that develop our publications, training, communications and marketing. If you have a special interest and expertise in certain areas of our business such as social media and campaigns, training, volunteer management or copywriting we can develop this skill and interest as an enhancement to your role. Developing areas of expertise within our Co-ordinator team is something we are keen to do. 

As this is a home-based role, you’ll need to be comfortable forming meaningful relationships online, building trust and connection via email, phone, and video calls. We’ll provide the equipment you need, but you’ll bring the energy and adaptability to make remote working feel personal and productive. Regular travel across the defined regions is a vital part of the role, visiting SMART Recovery meetings in the community and within partner organisations, and offering continual support to facilitators, are all essential in helping our network continue to grow with the quality we strive for.
