We are looking for a Help at Home Coordinator who will run day-to-day customer care, scheduling and support for workers and work closely with the finance team and other colleagues to ensure the service runs smoothly and safely and benefits the customers and the Charity.

Help at Home is Age UK Sutton’s social enterprise service, which provides personalised practical and emotional support to older people, enabling them to retain independence and quality of life. The service includes shopping, cleaning, light meal preparation, admin support, companionship and other household tasks. The service does not offer any CQC regulated care.

A unique selling point is that we carefully match customers to workers, and guarantee the same worker each visit. This leads to strong relationships, better quality ongoing support and job satisfaction for our support workers, as well as confidence to customers and their families that workers know their clients. Support workers often identify small changes in wellbeing, health and behaviour that can enable early intervention for common issues.

We are looking for an organised and proactive Help at Home Coordinator who:

• Is an excellent listener, using tact and sensibility when dealing with vulnerable clients
• Has experience working in a fast paced and collaborative environment
• Can problem solve and make decisions within role boundaries
• Is able to plan and organise workload, keep accurate records and work to clear targets and KPIs

Brief role description

The Salesforce Administrator (Mid-Level) will work closely with the Salesforce Manager, providing guidance to stakeholders and contributing to the ongoing evolution of our CRM.

A key part of this role is educating users and sharing best practices, helping colleagues understand how Salesforce works, what good looks like and how to get the most out of the platform.

Who we're looking for

We are looking for a capable professional with hands-on experience using Salesforce and its core products. You will need to have an understanding of their function and relationships along with excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical and reporting skills.

You will be confident and have excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, enabling you to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels. You will also have strong documentation habits, attention to detail and be able to balance strategic thinking with daily operational needs. 

The ideal candidate will hold a Salesforce Administrator Certification, familiarity with API-based integrations or middleware, such as Zapier and experience with Agile/Scrum environments.

We are seeking an exceptional Finance Director to provide strategic financial leadership for one of the world's leading international trade union federations.

Working closely with the General Secretary, Executive Board and elected officials, and reporting to the Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the ITF remains financially sustainable, resilient and well-governed.

The Role

As Finance Director, you will lead the ITF's global finance function and oversee the financial stewardship of the ITF Group and its parent organisation, subsidiaries and branches.

Working across a complex international organisation, you will ensure the organisation's financial sustainability while providing strategic leadership across financial planning, governance, investments, compliance and organisational performance.

What you'll do

As Finance Director, you will:

About You

You will be a strategic and hands on finance leader who combines professional credibility with sound judgement, collaborative leadership and the ability to influence at the highest levels of an international organisation.

You will bring substantial experience of leading financial matters  within a complex organisation and will be equally comfortable discussing long-term strategy with senior leaders as you are ensuring strong financial governance and compliance.

You will have:

• A professional accounting qualification and membership of a UK or internationally recognised accounting body (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or international equivalent).
• Significant post-qualification experience in senior finance leadership roles.
• Extensive experience of board governance, audit, treasury management, investment oversight and risk management.
• Strong experience of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial control.
• Experience of ensuring compliance with UK financial, tax and regulatory requirements within a UK-regulated organisation.

The Farming Community Network (FCN) is a UK-wide voluntary organisation and charity that aims to improve the health and wellbeing of people in farming and ‘walk with’ people at times of difficulty and change. We have been described as a ‘lifeline’ and a ‘trusted friend’ by people we have helped, and support over 12,500 people in agriculture each year with a wide range of issues.

We are recruiting a part-time Trust Fund and Legacy Development Manager. You will be reporting to the Head of Partnerships.

You will build vital relationships with Trusts, Foundations and other grant providers, generating income and helping to ensure the financial sustainability of the charity.  

You will also focus on increasing the volume and value of legacies left to FCN and nurturing these relationships and opportunities.

Now is an exciting time to be joining FCN – we are currently delivering our three-year strategy (2025 - 2027) and we are working with a wide range of stakeholders to create a resilient farming future for the next generation of farmers.

You will be working under your own initiative for much of the time, and will need a valid, clean driving license and own transport. Mileage expenses are reimbursed.

Key Relationships:

Internal: Close working relationships with Head of Partnerships, Head of Operations and Communications, Head of Finance and HR and other staff members.  

External: Liaising with Trusts, Foundations, families and a wide range of other stakeholders. 

Key responsibilities:

The Trust Fund and Legacy Development Manager will be responsible for:

Trusts:

- Lead on the development and delivery of a new trust fundraising strategy.

- Identify, research and write compelling applications to meet and / or exceed income targets.

- Oversight and management of relationships with existing and new trusts and foundations and delivering funding reports to a high and consistent standard, including evaluating impact.

- Writing and submitting high-quality bids and tailored proposals to secure charity funding from trusts, foundations, grant providers and other sources.

- Monitoring requirements of trust fund projects, including meeting deadlines and collating relevant information.

- Working with the Senior Leadership Team to identify opportunities and develop project proposals aligned to organisational strategy.

Legacy Development:

- Create and deliver an effective strategy for gifts in wills and in memory giving.

- Increasing income from legacies and wills, as well as maintaining and building legacy opportunities. 

- Ensuring legacy funds are utilised in accordance with the wishes of the donor.

- Managing relationships with donors, families and other stakeholders.

- Recording income and donor support accurately and maintaining databases.

- Handling the responsibilities of the role sensitively and with care and compassion.

- Acknowledge and celebrate gifts in wills to raise awareness throughout the organisation, with its followers, supporters, staff and volunteers.

- Working with colleagues to gather content and produce high quality and inspirational updates for legacy supporters and their families.

- Respond to potential enquiries about all types of legacy gifts and gather details about each.

- Gather information from existing content and new sources to draft updates and other stewardship communications for individuals and legacy families.

- Identify case studies and stories from across our work, to show the impact of legacies and gifts in memory.

- Supporting on the delivery of projects and other charitable activities as and when required.

Essential Criteria:

· Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.

· Excellent customer/donor care experience with a proven track record of exceptional listening skills.

· Methodical and organised approach to tasks with meticulous attention to detail with the  ability to plan and prioritise.

· Experience in supporter acquisition, retention, and the development of supporters.

· Experience in writing funding bids, grants and proposals and tailoring bids to requirement and working to strict deadlines.

· Knowledge and experience of developing and maximising fundraising opportunities.

· Excellent organisational skills and deadline achievement.

· Good interpersonal skills.

· Computer literacy including a working knowledge Microsoft office software, (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).

· Ability to research, plan and budget.

· Able to work on own initiative while also as a key team member of the management team.

Desirable Criteria:

• Has worked in the charity sector previously.

• Knowledge and understanding of the law as it applies to charity legacies, taxes applicable to estates and probate/trust law and related processes.

• Has knowledge of agriculture and the rural community

• To have completed Higher Education (A-Levels, HNC, HND, foundation degree, bachelor’s all considered).

You will have a proven track record of advising CEOs, Boards and Audit & Risk Committees, leading organisational change and financial transformation, and overseeing complex budgets, diverse funding streams and robust financial governance. Experience within the humanitarian, international development, healthcare or wider charity sectors is essential, with knowledge of institutional donor funding and grant compliance highly desirable.

Job Summary 

The Executive Support Coordinator will provide effective and proactive support to Durham SU’s elected student leaders, senior staff and volunteers, helping to ensure the effective delivery of Durham SU’s work. The role will support the coordination of executive and governance activity, alongside providing administrative and HR support across the organisation, providing advice, coordination and practical support to help ensure decisions are effectively implemented and that strong working relationships are built with elected student leaders, colleagues and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities and Duties 

The Executive Support Coordinator is responsible for providing high-quality executive and administrative support to the Chief Executive, Board of Trustees, and senior leadership team, helping to ensure the effective operation of Durham SU. In particular, the Executive Support Coordinator will:

• Maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues across Durham SU Durham University, Board of Trustees and external stakeholders. 

• Provide effective coordination and administrative support across executive, governance, and people functions, ensuring information, resources, and communications are managed effectively. 

• Support the development and implementation of organisational policies, procedures, and processes, particularly within executive support and people-related areas. 

• Provide advice, guidance, and administrative support on HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, staff engagement activities, and other people-related initiatives. 

• Providing proactive executive support to the leadership team, including diary management, meeting coordination and administrative support. 

• Coordinating Board and committee governance processes, including preparing agendas, distributing papers, taking accurate minutes, tracking actions, and maintaining governance records. 

• Act as a professional ambassador for Durham SU, demonstrating discretion, confidentiality, and a commitment to supporting an inclusive and positive working environment. 

The Executive Support Coordinator is accountable for: 

• Line managing and supporting a student staff member within the Central Services team, including agreeing objectives, providing regular support and feedback, supporting development opportunities, and ensuring effective delivery of agreed tasks and priorities. 

• Maintaining accurate, confidential records and documentation across governance, executive, HR, and Central Services functions, ensuring information is managed appropriately and securely. 

• Supporting continuous improvement of administrative, governance, and HR processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and the experience of staff, trustees, and stakeholders. 

• Promoting the values, reputation, and strategic objectives of Durham SU through professional, organised, and collaborative working.

To undertake bookkeeping, monthly management reporting, financial reporting, work with the external auditors during their annual review and assist with the design/implementation of internal controls within the finance department. The exact tasks will vary and flexibility is key, but will include the following:

• Assist the trustee treasurer and region manager by preparing financial documents and other information as required for trustee, finance group, steering group and operations group meetings.
• Assist with the preparation of the annual budget. Undertake a forecast, assist budget holders, interrogate data, report and offer advice on results.
• Prepare timely and accurate quarterly management accounts, complete with analysis both qualitative and quantitative.
• Ensure the financial reporting statements are complete and accurate, reflecting a true and fair picture of the charity’s position, including accruals, prepayments and payroll journals.
• Prepare the year end accounts for review by external auditors and for inclusion into the annual report.
• Work with staff and lead volunteers undertaking large-scale events such as international trips and region events to support their financial record keeping.
• Attend meetings with staff and volunteers online and in person, providing updates on tasks and deadlines as required, and actioning feedback or requests from volunteers after meetings. Meetings involving volunteers may take place outside of regular working hours, for which you will be given Time Off in Lieu (TOIL).
• Build and maintain a good working relationship with external stakeholders, including but not limited to the payroll company, pension provider, investment management company, auditors and banks.
• Work with internal stakeholders to provide support and guidance. Stakeholders comprise trustees, volunteers and staff.
• Monitor the finance email account and respond to queries in a professional and timely manner.
• Review, assess and (where appropriate) process grant applications from members and units in Girlguiding London and South East England.
• Ensure that designated and restricted funds are accurately accounted for.
• Maintain knowledge of current Girlguiding policies, resources and initiatives, and communicate in line with Girlguiding branding and tone of voice guidelines.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality, storing and handling data and images in line with GDPR regulations, as well as Girlguiding and Girlguiding London and South East England data protection policies.
• Take initiative and work efficiently on your own and as part of the team to ensure that Girlguiding London and South East England's strategic priorities and relevant areas of the business plan are delivered on time.
•  IT skills – you will need to apply your up-to-date knowledge and experience of using Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams. As part of this role, you are also likely to need to use Zoom, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Soldo, and the Girlguiding CRM database.
• The role may also require you to identify grant opportunities and/or alternative income streams.
• Carry out other duties not detailed above, as directed by the region manager.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Financial Controller will lead three teams, totalling 12 members of staff, across Financial Accounts, Financial Operations and Finance Systems.
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, compliance and effectiveness of the Museum's financial reporting processes, maintaining strong financial controls and delivering excellent finance services across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
As a key member of the Finance leadership team, you will:

• Lead and develop the Financial Accounts, Financial Operations and Finance Systems teams, ensuring a high-performing, customer-focused finance function. 
• Take overall responsibility for the production of statutory accounts, Whole of Government Accounts (WGA) returns and the successful delivery of the annual external audit process. 
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, Charity SORP, FReM, VAT and HMRC requirements, maintaining robust financial controls and governance across the Museum. 
• Lead treasury management, cashflow forecasting and stewardship of Museum funds, whilst managing relationships with auditors, government bodies and other external stakeholders. 
• Act as a senior finance leader and deputy to the Head of Finance, providing expert financial advice to senior stakeholders and supporting major projects and strategic initiatives. 
• Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, reporting, policies and processes, ensuring efficient, compliant and effective financial operations.
• Work in partnership with business leads responsible for income generation, providing strategic advice and aligning teams to work with agility to respond to organisational need

About You
We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded finance leader who combines strong technical expertise with excellent stakeholder management and people leadership skills.
You will bring:

• A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with significant, demonstrable post-qualification experience
• Proven experience leading and developing finance teams within a complex organisation
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including statutory reporting, financial controls and governance
• Experience of preparing and presenting financial information to senior leadership and Board-level audiences
• Knowledge of charity accounting, SORP, VAT and HMRC requirements
• Experience overseeing finance systems and driving process improvement initiatives
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and ability to manage competing priorities effectively
