The Vacancy
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the support team within the Conference Office in the Connexional Team of the Methodist Church in Britain.
We are looking to appoint a Senior Administrator to assist in facilitating the efficient operation of the principal decision-making and oversight bodies of the Methodist Church.
The post holder will manage the processes for stationing of ministers, including the Stationing Matching Group, the Initial Stationing Sub-Committee, the Stationing Action Group. The successful applicant will also, in conjunction with colleagues, prepare the draft of the stations to be presented to the Conference.
In this crucial role, the Senior Administrator will provide administrative support, alongside the Executive Officer: Ministerial Oversight, to the Ministerial Coordinator for the Oversight of Ordained Ministries. The post holder will also provide executive support to the Authorisations Committee, including the preparation of the Committee’s report to the Conference.
The successful applicant will also supervise the arrangement and servicing of meetings and Conference Office events.
This role also involves working collaboratively with support staff in the Conference Office by supporting other parts of the team as they face peaks in their own areas of work.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
Session Delivery
· Lead and deliver all ridden sessions, ensuring they are safe, inclusive, and tailored to individual rider needs.

This role is a one-year fixed-term position.
Overall purpose
The middle school English teacher is responsible for delivering an English curriculum in an engaging, stimulating and effective manner, using varied instructional strategies.
Summary of duties
Teach four sections of Grade 8 English
Serve as a Grade 8 advisor: build positive relationships with advisees and their families, deliver advisory curriculum, coach advisees with social, emotional, and academic topics, liaise with team teachers
Plan, teach, and assess in close alignment with grade level teaching partner
Collaborate with grade-level team teachers to support student well-being and academic progress, as well as the advisory curriculum and various team initiatives
Coordinate curriculum with other members of the English department, and liaise with other departments where appropriate
Exhibit knowledge of current trends, pedagogy, research, and topics of importance in English education by applying it in the classroom and sharing it with teachers on a departmental and school-wide basis
Monitor and evaluate students’ progress, prepare for parent conferences, complete report cards, etc.
Take responsibility for the safety and well-being of all students at all times
Organize and participate in field trips to facilitate active learning, including bonding days and a week-long trip abroad in May
Participate in regular, purposeful pedagogy meetings and in professional development sessions
Participate actively in the life of the School, through attendance at events, committee membership and leadership of co-curricular activities
Any other duties (including lunch and recess coverage) as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by the Middle School Principal
Selection criteria
Essential qualifications/experience:
A bachelor’s degree in English or a relevant discipline
Substantive full-time teaching Middle School English
Experience and commitment to working collaboratively in a team-focused environment
Experience with differentiating instruction to meet the learning needs of all students
Experience as an Advisor supporting the social and emotional needs of all students
Training and experience in intercultural competency initiatives to support diversity, equity and inclusion in the classroom and workplace
Strong oral and written communication skills
Significant recent professional development germane to the position
Commitment to and facility with integration of technology in the service of student learning
Demonstrated knowledge of safeguarding practices and experience supporting student welfare
Desirable qualifications/experience:
Experience within a standards-based curriculum
Experience/knowledge of integrated and/or thematic instruction
Experience in advisory, mentoring or delivering social-emotional learning curricula that support adolescent wellbeing

Survivor voice is a key part of our commitment to ensuring that the views of survivors and women with lived experience of VAWG inform the development and delivery of services. Amplifying Survivor Voices is a new project in partnership with the London Borough of Hillingdon, and we are looking for an Amplifying Survivor Voices Coordinator to ensure that lived experience is at the heart of service design, decision-making and service improvement across the borough.
About the Role
As our Amplifying Survivor Voices Coordinator, you will lead the delivery of this exciting new project in partnership with the London Borough of Hillingdon, making sure lived experience is woven through every part of the programme. You'll recruit, engage, and support survivors to take part safely and meaningfully in service development, co-production and influencing opportunities, and you'll coordinate and facilitate our Survivor Advisory Panel, creating real opportunities for survivors to shape services, practice, and outcomes.
You'll plan and deliver survivor-led workshops, group activities and training designed to build confidence, skills and self-advocacy, and you'll work closely with colleagues and external partners to develop, test and improve project resources along the way.
About You
You are passionate about survivor involvement and co-production, with a genuine commitment to trauma-informed, person-centred practice.
You'll bring experience of engaging and supporting service users, ideally within violence against women and girls or a related field, along with a track record of facilitating meaningful participation, co-production, and influencing opportunities.
You know how to build positive relationships with survivors, colleagues, managers and external partners, and you have a solid understanding of trauma-informed practice, equality, diversity, and inclusion, and why lived experience matters so much in shaping services. You're comfortable delivering workshops, training, or group activities to a range of audiences, and you communicate clearly and confidently, producing reports, briefings, and project documentation that others can easily follow.
