Job description

Turn compelling ideas into vital funding for hospice care.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Trusts & Grants Manager to grow sustainable income from trusts, foundations, grant-making bodies and statutory funders. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, you will build a strong funding pipeline, create persuasive applications and develop trusted relationships that help local people and their families living with life-limiting illness.

What you’ll do

  • Research and prioritise new funding opportunities, including higher-value and multi-year grants.
  • Write compelling applications, proposals, cases for support and impact reports.
  • Manage funder relationships, stewardship, reporting deadlines and grant conditions.
  • Work with colleagues across the Hospice to develop realistic, accurately costed projects.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide clear pipeline and income reporting.

About you

You will bring proven trusts and foundations fundraising experience, excellent written communication and strong relationship-management skills. Highly organised and collaborative, you will be comfortable balancing multiple deadlines, using insight to shape priorities and representing the Hospice professionally. Experience of CRM systems is essential; knowledge of Donorfy, volunteer management or hospice fundraising would be an advantage.

Why join us?

Join a compassionate, ambitious organisation where your expertise will directly support high-quality hospice care. We offer a generous holiday allowance, pension options, free on-site parking, flexible working opportunities where appropriate, staff discounts and access to learning and development.

Ready to make a measurable difference?
Apply with details of how your experience, skills and approach match the requirements of the role.
