2. Purpose of the Role

The HR and Admin Officer provide human resources and administrative support to ensure that project staffing, records, contractual documentation, scheduling, and general office administration are managed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policy and project requirements.

4. Scope of Work and Key Responsibilities

     Human Resources administration

• Support recruitment processes, including vacancy logistics, interview scheduling, reference collection, and contract preparation for approved roles.
• Maintain complete and up-to-date personnel files for project staff and consultants, including contracts, IDs, onboarding forms, performance records, and leave documentation.
• Support staff induction processes and ensure that policies, reporting lines, code of conduct requirements, and key administrative procedures are clearly communicated.
• Track attendance, leave, contract dates, renewal points, and other HR actions and raise reminders in advance.

   Administrative Support

• Provide administrative support for meetings, travel arrangements, calendars, document circulation, filing systems, and internal correspondence.
• Maintain project contact lists, mailing groups, organisational charts, and administrative trackers.
• Ensure that project documents requiring signatures, approvals, or controlled circulation are processed efficiently and stored appropriately.

  Policy Compliance & Staff Support

• Support consistent application of HR policies, confidentiality standards, and personnel administration procedures.
• Act as a point of contact for routine HR and administrative queries and route sensitive issues to management appropriately.
• Support the preparation of HR and administration summaries for management review.

5. Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, management, Social Sciences, Humanities, or related field 
• At least 5 years of relevant HR & administrative experience, preferable In NGOs sector.
• Good understanding of HR documentation, personal administration, and ability to handle sensitive information responsibly.

2. Purpose of the Role

The Senior Programmes Officer (Maternity Cover) is responsible for supporting the effective coordination, delivery, and development of a multi-country humanitarian programme portfolio. The role ensures continuity of programme implementation during the maternity cover period by maintaining strong partner relationships, overseeing programme progress, and supporting high-quality proposal development and reporting.

The post holder will act as a key focal point for communication with implementing partners and internal teams, ensuring that programme activities remain on track, compliant, and responsive to evolving needs. The role also contributes to organisational growth through proposal development, donor engagement, and strengthening partnerships.

4. Scope of Work and Key Responsibilities

Programme Coordination and Partner Management

• Maintain regular communication with implementing partners across multiple countries
• Coordinate programme activities to ensure timely and effective delivery
• Support negotiation and alignment with field teams and partners on implementation priorities
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with partners and stakeholders

Proposal Development, Business Development and Donor Engagement

• Lead the development of project proposals, concept notes, and budgets
• Contribute to business development efforts, including drafting marketing materials and supporting donor engagement
• Develop marketing and programme-related materials to support fundraising and visibility
• Build and maintain relationships with donors and external stakeholders

Programme Monitoring, Reporting and Compliance

• Review narrative and financial reports from partners for quality and accuracy
• Track programme deliverables, milestones, and deadlines across projects
• Maintain programme trackers, dashboards, and internal monitoring tools
• Liaise with Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) teams to support programme tracking and learning
• Ensure documentation and data are organised, accurate, and up to date

Financial Coordination

• Coordinate closely with the finance team on budgets, forecasts, and expenditure tracking
• Review partner budgets and support financial planning processes
• Ensure alignment between programme delivery and financial requirements

Design, Communications and Knowledge Products

• Develop visual and written materials including presentations, one-pagers, capability statements, and reports
• Support media and communications outputs using design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
• Contribute to internal and external communications materials to enhance programme visibility
• Support media-related activities, including content development and basic media training where required

Capacity Building and Team Support

• Provide training and guidance to implementing partners on project requirements and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Develop and refine internal documents such as SOPs and guidance materials
• Support onboarding, training, and supervision of interns
• Provide support to colleagues across programme activities as required

Systems, Learning and Operational Support

• Maintain and update programme databases and information systems
• Support feedback collection processes, including surveys and learning inputs
• Contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement across programmes
• Participate in calls across multiple time zones and undertake occasional travel as required

Procurement and supply chain support

• Support review of procurement requests, specifications, delivery schedules, and procurement documentation for completeness before onward processing.
• Track status of procurement packages, purchase actions, vendor communications, and delivery milestones and flag bottlenecks for management attention.
• Coordinate with the Operations and Logistics Officer in the field on shipment status, local sourcing issues, warehousing constraints, and asset receipt confirmation.

Operational risk management

• Identify operational bottlenecks relating to procurement timing, delivery sequencing, documentation gaps, or service support readiness.
• Provide timely updates to the Programmes Manager on issues requiring escalation or re-prioritisation.

5. Qualifications and Experience

• Degree or equivalent experience in international development, humanitarian studies, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in programme coordination, project management, or humanitarian/development settings
• Proven experience in proposal development, including budget preparation
• Strong experience working with implementing partners and managing multi-country programmes
• Experience reviewing narrative and financial reports and ensuring donor compliance
• Familiarity with working alongside finance and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) teams

6. Core Competencies

• Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English required; Arabic is desirable

This new role of Strategic Partnership Lead: Coventry has been created following successful investment through Sport England’s Place Expansion programme for Coventry. The role will provide strategic leadership for the implementation and coordination of the Sport England Place Expansion investment across Coventry , including supporting the development and implementation of the emerging Coventry Physical Activity Partnership. 

The role reflects the growing recognition that physical activity has an important role to play in improving health, reducing inequalities and strengthening communities across Coventry. We envisage physical activity continuing to be used as part of the wider One Coventry approach to tackling the inequalities experienced by local people.

The postholder will be employed by Think Active but will work on behalf of the Coventry Physical Activity Partnership, bringing together partners from across sectors around a shared vision and agenda for change.

BASE LOCATION & WORKING APPROACH

Think Active’s headquarters are at 1 Mill Street in Leamington Spa; however, this role will also be expected to work from a range of locations across Coventry, reflecting the partnership and place-based nature of the role.

This role requires a strong commitment to system working, including engaging with partners and stakeholders where they are and at times that best support collaboration and impact. As such, there may be a requirement for occasional evening and weekend work.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

Reporting to the Development Director, the Strategic Partnership Lead: Coventry will will act as a senior leader within Think Active, shaping our strategic role and leading the implementation of the Sport England Place Expansion investment across Coventry, ensuring strong partnership working, effective programme delivery and a collaborative, community-centred approach. 

The role will play a key part in ensuring physical activity is embedded within wider system priorities across Coventry, including health, wellbeing, inequalities, communities and place-based working.

Strategic Leadership and Place Development

• Lead and project manage the implementation of the Sport England Place Expansion investment across Coventry, ensuring delivery aligns with the Conditions of Award

This is a rare opportunity to be on the front line of human rights research and advocacy, joining a specialist organisation with a long track record in promoting the right to freedom of religion or belief (FoRB).

You will undertake research, investigations, monitoring, report-writing and advocacy on freedom of religion and human rights in Asia. You will develop a good relationship with stakeholders and ensure effective and creative ways to advance the research and advocacy on Asia.

The Investment Operations Officer is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational activities of investment funds. This role ensures the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of fund processes, including trade settlement, reconciliation, operational checks for cash management, and data management. Person Specification

Essential

• Experience of leading a team or working at executive/senior leadership levels where you have managed budgets and had to make decisions related to organisational effectiveness. This should also include demonstrable experience of building and nurturing teams that can deliver an organisational strategy.
• Proven experience leading influencing functions in an advocacy or policy environment and delivering change
• Experience turning research and insight into clear, credible and persuasive policy positions.
• Knowledge of system change approaches, ideally within public service reform or similar
• Knowledge of how Government, Parliament, Whitehall, political parties and the wider policy community operate, and how to navigate them effectively.

Principle purposes of the job:

 

To deliver group support services including:

· provision of child focussed play/educational activities to support development

· parental guidance to support child development

· supervision of Play Leader and support for Volunteers

· to work alongside the scheme Manager in the planning and delivery of group support

Main responsibilities:

 

· To work within Home-Start’s standards and methods of practice including Equal Opportunities, Safeguarding and Promoting the Welfare of Children, Confidentiality and all mandatory policies.

· Work in close co-operation with the Play worker, Volunteers and other scheme staff as directed by the scheme Manager.

· Work in partnership with other family support agencies, as appropriate

· To make initial contact with families to assess their needs

· Review family’s needs on a regular basis and at the end of support.

· To maintain contact with individual referrers during a family’s support

· To welcome all parents/carers to the Family Group, recognising the importance of their role as the prime educators of their children

· To be aware of group dynamics ensuring the groups provide a non-judgemental environment for children and their parent/carer

· To provide a safe, stimulating environment for children and their parents

· To be vigilant about the upkeep of equipment ensuring good standards of safety and hygiene are followed.

· To closely work alongside the Play Worker planning activities for the children

· To make observations, record and report on children’s development

· To encourage the active participation of parents/carers in their child’s play and other activities as appropriate

· To provide opportunities for external agencies to offer advice/information to families

· To promote the use of suitable toys, books and activities and encourage the use of local resources e.g. Toy Library, Library and Children & Family Centres

· To complete a Risk Assessment prior to each session/outing

· To keep a register at each session detailing names of all those attending, including visitors/speakers with an evaluation of each speaker

· To record any accidents/incidents in the Accident or Incident Book and report as appropriate

· To respond, record and report appropriately all Safeguarding Children/Child Protection issues

· To liaise with the Manager regarding budgets

· To promote the work of Home-Start with referrers

Hope into Action is an inspiring story.  It starts with a couple, Ed and Rach Walker, who decide to use £30,000 of their own money to buy a house for people who were homeless in Peterborough in 2010.  And from this seed, an organisation has grown which 16 years later has 134 houses and has seen over £34 million invested in homes for people who were homeless.

Hope into Action is a story of how faith in God has been put into action and led to resources being shared, new relationships being formed and people’s lives being transformed.

Last year we housed over 500 people who had been homeless. Each of those individuals has a story to share of how Hope into Action has helped them. This is the story we want to share.

The Communications & Engagement Lead is responsible for implementing Hope into Action’s communications and engagement strategy. Working closely with the CEO, they will be responsible for telling the Hope into Action story and driving increased engagement with our vision for every church in the UK to be engaged in ending homelessness.

At least 50% of the role is harvesting stories from around our Network to create engaging content which expresses our vision and mission. We want someone who can be both responsive and strategic. To hear a story from our frontline workers and be able to share it on our website and social media later that day – whilst also working towards the longer term goal of more people in the UK being aware of our work and its impact.
