The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences – is seeking a Venue Sales Coordinator to join our Resources team, providing key support in the delivery of venue sales and commercial event planning.

The role

The Venue Sales Coordinator will contribute to the growth of the department’s turnover by leading on enquiry response with a timely, professional and knowledgeable approach. The role will contribute to revenue growth by maximising opportunities to increase spend per head through proactive and thoughtful upselling of in-house services, including catering and AV, and trusted external suppliers.

With previous sales experience, you will be a confident, driven, and highly organised professional, as well as an excellent communicator. You will have the ability to build and nurture strong relationships, manage client expectations, meet deadlines, and negotiate effectively with both clients and suppliers. We expect from the successful candidate to effectively plan and manage a full range of corporate, private, academic, and charitable meetings and events from initial contact to post-event follow-up.

You will act as a contributing member of the vibrant Hospitality team to deliver ambitious sales and service targets, thereby fulfilling the Academy’s strategic objective to make the most of its assets and secure its future.

The Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship will introduce you to how we deliver our housing services and support our customers. You'll build valuable housing skills and will make a meaningful contribution to the work that we do.

You'll spend time with different teams, including Customer Accounts, Lettings, Localities (Tenancy Management), and Supported Housing. This will give you hands-on experience and help you understand how our services work from start to finish.

Service Manager 

This is an exciting opportunity for a Data and Insights Officer to join our Impact and Evaluation team and shape how data is used at Chance to Shine. The role holder will strengthen our data practices and lead our monitoring analysis to ensure data is used effectively to support continuous improvement, planning and shape future priorities. They will play a key role in helping Chance to Shine use data in line with wider best practice by working collaboratively with internal and external partners, and being proactive in identifying and driving improvements.

This is a London Office based contract. A minimum of two days a week in the office would be required with the option to work from home on the other days. About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Registered Practitioner Psychologist with a background in clinical psychology to join our team in Croydon. The service offers a psychologically informed environment across four sites, providing low to high support forensic mental health services to our residents with forensic mental health needs, complex conditions, and dual diagnosis. In this role, you will drive the delivery of evidence based psychological assessments and interventions aimed at the rehabilitation and reintegration of our residents into the communities. This is a creative, evolving, and impactful role which works closely with our Group Psychological Lead and wider teams to provide support to staff and at times residents to support in providing a streamlined and psychologically informed service.

Key Responsibilities include: 

• Provide advice, guidance, and support to the team with supporting our residents to overcome personal challenges and create a supportive environment
• Advise and streamline best practices, and enhance the overall skills and expertise of the team to deliver high quality care and support
• Provide clinical supervision to the team
• Provide highly specialised psychological assessments for our residents with mental health and complex needs
• Exercise full clinical responsibility for residents psychological care as a care coordinator within a multidisciplinary team
• Formulate and implement plans for various therapy routes and management of assessing mental health conditions based upon appropriate conceptual frameworks and evidence-based practices

About You

We're looking for someone who is a self-starter, able to proactively encourage, take leadership and ownership for creating a psychologically informed environment. You will be able to communicate highly complex and sensitive information effectively within the organisation and with external partners, collaborating with external stakeholders regularly in a multidisciplinary approach. You will be able to utilise your own expertise and support in empowering the wider team to enhance their skills to deliver a service which is supportive, safe, and in line with best practice for the organisation and external regulatory bodies. 

• HCPC Registration is essential
• Post-graduate doctoral level training as a Registered Practitioner Psychologist including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology
• Previous experience working as a qualified clinical and/or forensic psychologist, including working with people with complex backgrounds/needs and a good understanding of the sector we run our services in
• Ability to teach, train, consult, and deliver clinical supervision
• Understanding of criminology, psychology, and behavioural patterns, and how they link to different behaviours and engagement
• Ability to understand and apply safeguarding protocols as they arise
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility in working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Doctor to join our team.

About the role

​

Lead Doctors are responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the report writing process, the quality control over the reports, and act as a first port of call for queries from report writers. They are responsible for delivering training relevant to the production of medico legal reports. The work will include recruiting, training and supporting the team and ensuring continuing professional development. The post holder will also medically review reports of doctors in their service and, as other duties permit, write medico-legal reports for survivors of torture.

About you

​

You will be a qualified medical practitioner with full GMC registration and a current license to practise. Having an in-depth understanding of the social care and health systems in the UK. In addition, you will have significant experience of working with survivors of trauma and/or torture in a medical setting, and experience of writing medico legal reports.

You will bring a strong understanding of mental health and employment support, with experience helping individuals to find, return to, and sustain employment, and knowledge of models such as IPS. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners, and confidently present and promote services. Highly organised, you will be able to manage your time, prioritise tasks, and work to tight deadlines in an outcome-driven environment.

You will demonstrate a sound understanding of key policies and legislation, including Health & Safety, Data Protection, Equality & Diversity, and the Equality Act 2010, alongside a commitment to continuous professional development. A positive, proactive, and person-centred approach is essential, with the ability to assess client needs, develop action plans, and maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office and case management systems. Flexibility to travel across the borough and a commitment to supporting wellbeing and inclusion are also key.

The Role:

As a proactive and innovative Project Manager for Professional Development, you will support our CPD team. This new role is pivotal in ensuring effective systems management and record keeping, stakeholder engagement and relationships across various educational projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the management of a large, growing and innovative Schools CPD programme, in person and online
• Manage administrative tasks including documentation, scheduling, and reporting for CPD programmes
• Using tools such as Canva, Microsoft Office suite, MailChimp and WordPress to create and disseminate high-quality educational resources and communications in line with HEP brand guidelines
• Produce content to market and sell our professional development programme to schools in and beyond our membership
• Support all customers, members and non-members, to access the HEP offer
• Develop and nurture strong stakeholder relationships with schools, educators, CPD trainers, local authorities and other partners
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational innovation, policies, regulations and political landscape affecting schools and the education sector to inform the next steps for CPD
• Collaborate closely with the wider HEP team to deliver strategic goals of HEP
• Work independently and efficiently under pressure, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld
• Demonstrate a strong moral purpose and understanding of the mission and values of Haringey Education Partnership

Qualifications and skills:

• Educated to at least degree level(or equivalent experience) 
• Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels
• Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft Office and basic website management tools
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ambitious, resilient, proactive and a dedicated team player committed to continuous improvement in education
• Experience of marketing or sales an advantage
