· To work closely with the CEO and the rest of the GWT’s Senior Management Team in prioritising day-to-day activities. Whilst primarily focused on internal activities, the postholder will assist the CEO with external matters, deputising for the CEO as directed.

· To take a proactive role in supporting the CEO in strategy development, and to take the lead responsibility for the GWT’s Management Plan.

· To maintain oversight of, and to support, when necessary, the activities of the GWT’s operations in Nepal. To be the office primary link between the staff in GWT(N) and the UK Office, other than for fundraising specific activities, with a particular focus on the arrangement of visits (internal & external) between UK and Nepal and the deconfliction of activity.

· To be responsible for leading organisational development to ensure that the GWT has the structure and staff capacity to deliver against targets.

· To oversee the DCOS’s effective delivery of HR and CPD programmes including recruitment, induction, training, appraisals and disciplinary procedures.

· As Budget Holder for the UK Office, to ensure the efficient and effective running of the UK Office and its associated infrastructure, including the delivery of staff induction and continuation training.

· To prepare and manage the administrative elements of the UK Office budget.

· To oversee the GWT’s IT/Cyber strategy (UK and Nepal) with responsibility for all UK IT procurement and support policies (supported by the Office Manager), and to coordinate and manage all non-fundraising related office contracts.

· To monitor and support the activities of the GWAC in UK, liaising with Headquarters Brigade of Gurkhas as required.

· To liaise with the GWT’s Company Secretary from time to time to produce and distribute Committee/Board/General Meeting packs and take minutes and in the absence (for any reason) of a Company Secretary to carry out the administrative aspects of those functions. In the absence of a GWT Company Secretary, or as required by the relevant Committee Chair(s), act as Secretary to the various GWT Committees.

· To ensure, in close cooperation with the GWT’s Company Secretary from time to time, that the GWT’s governance arrangements are compliant, efficient and meet best practice.

The role

THINK EQUAL is a global education initiative with a mission to ensure that Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) becomes a mandatory subject for all children in early years settings globally. SEL is the process through which knowledge, attitudes, values and skills such as emotional intelligence, empathy, self-awareness, self-regulation, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision making are developed. 

SEL helps young people to:

• build and maintain psychological resources;

• know themselves and their emotions and to engage in positive relationships;

• make good decisions, behave ethically and responsibly;

• learn self-regulation and avoid negative behaviours;

• undo gender stereotypes and be gender equal;

• have self-worth, confidence and the right to voice and agency; and

• transition into ambitious and empowered young adults.

To support educators and governments to achieve this mission, THINK EQUAL has developed a global SEL Programme for 3-6 years-olds. The Programme is constructed around narrative children’s books, lesson plans and teaching resources which provide the concrete tools educators need to teach SEL in a low-cost and adaptable format.

The THINK EQUAL Programme has a global presence across six continents and has undergone three RCT trials in contexts as varied as Colombia, Botswana and Australia. There is a growing demand from other countries for the THINK EQUAL Programme and the organisation is now strengthening its team to be able to respond to this demand.

Purpose of the Role

Working at the forefront of Think Equal’s mission to bring the ‘missing subject’ to the hearts and minds of children in the UK, the role of the UK Programmes Officer primary focus would be to ensure the successful delivery of the Think Equal programme across early years classrooms in the UK.  Working within the dynamic Global Programmes team alongside dedicated UK-focused colleagues, this role is highly motivating, and requires great organisation and communication skills as well as an enthusiastic, solution-focused attitude. This may include providing support to the Business Development team regarding potential expansion of the programme into new areas.

Responsibilities 

Programme support

• Support and coordinate the delivery of the Think Equal programme across  UK projects. This includes:

  • Plan and deliver information sessions, training sessions, launch events and other activities engaging Think Equal practitioners, both online and in person.

  • Enrol new practitioners into the Think Equal training platform as they sign up to the programme.

  • Provide general administrative and research support to the Programmes Coordinator and other staff, representing the organisation as the first point of contact and responding to queries in a timely and professional manner.

  • Process individual orders from schools and manage shipping requests on behalf of the staff team.

  • Support and communicate with TE classroom teachers and other key stakeholders - including nursery workers, primary teachers, primary heads and local authorities - to ensure fidelity and a high quality of implementation.

  • Check and regularly update stock levels, liaising with relevant stakeholders, and order new stock as required with prior confirmation from the Line Manager.

  • Effectively and efficiently update, report and analyse relevant data relating to projects.

  • Plan and lead focus groups with participating practitioners.

  • Arrange and attend occasional on-site visits to participating schools, reviewing fidelity to the Think Equal model and programme impact.

The Centre Manager will oversee the day to day running of centre, making sure we have a safe and welcoming environment. Working with Trustees, you will play a key part in bringing about change at the Centre to ensure its future sustainability and place at the heart of the Chinnor and surrounding villages. This includes seeking out and securing funding opportunities to increase income and providing leadership to our small staff team. Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do and the Centre Manager will need to promote the Centre as a great place to volunteer. 

Key responsibilites:

• Ensuring appropriate policies and protocols are in place.
• Overseeing a programme of works for the refurbishment and updating of the Centre.
• Line manage our 7 staff.
• Produce financial reports and plans, working with our Treasurer and Bookkeeper.

In addition, we are looking to deliver a range of training workshops to support clients of the service and local organisations.

The post holder will:

• Be responsible for managing, monitoring, delivering and evaluating employment activities to ensure that contract outcome targets are met.
• Support the implementation of organisational initiatives of Re-Instate.
• Take an active role in the delivery, management, monitoring and evaluation of any initiatives developed as part of the Early Intervention Service.
• Support clients to retain paid and voluntary work through employer engagement.
• Provide information to assist in strategic decision making.
• Represent Re-Instate within the London borough of Bexley.
• Work with the Training and Outreach Co-ordinator to promote the Early Intervention Service.

The post-holder will need project development experience and a working, knowledge of models of supported employment. They will be an effective networker, able to develop and sustain partnerships with a range of stakeholders.

• Promote and deliver the vision for the Early Intervention Service that supports sustainable recovery for people experiencing mental ill health, including job retention, job searching, preparation for work and signposting.

As a Project Coordinator, you will be delivering informal educational workshops in secondary schools, working within a vibrant team of experienced educators, as well as managing day to day administration to ensure the smooth running of the project. Moreover, you will have the chance to collaborate with a range of exciting partners including other anti-discrimination organisations and other stakeholders in the field of hate crime.

Stand Up! Education Against Discrimination brings Jewish & Muslim educators into the classroom to facilitate informal conversations with young people.​ By creating a safe space and through free interactive workshops, students are empowered to learn about and act against racism and discrimination with a specific focus on antisemitism and anti-Muslim hate. Young people are provided with the tools on how to report hate crime, whilst developing their sense of social responsibility to their local communities and British society as a whole.

The programme has reached over 150,000 young people across the country since its inception in 2017 and has received recognition from the Mayor of London, Sir Sadiq Khan, who funds the programme through the Shared Endeavour Fund. Workshops are delivered by expert facilitators who create a safe space for young people to debunk myths and misconceptions about the Muslim and Jewish communities.

About the role

We have an excellent opportunity to join the College as Business Manager to Chief Executive (CEO). This role provides high-level strategic and operational support to the CEO and across the College while ensuring the smooth running of the Chief Executive’s Office. You will work closely with the Chief Executive (CEO), President, Vice Presidents, Executive Directors, senior leaders and the Executive Support Team, helping the College achieve its mission of improving women’s health care worldwide.

• Manage CEO-led committees and groups including coordination of Chief Executive and President-led travel

About the Role

The Policy and Public Affairs Officer is a strategic role that offers an exciting opportunity to make an impact on healthcare policy on a national scale.

Reporting to the Head of Policy and Public Affairs, the post holder will develop and communicate the College’s core policy messages and engage with governments, NHS organisations and other healthcare bodies across all four nations.
