BIG Alliance (Businesses for Islington Giving) delivers business-supported employee volunteer programmes to strengthen links between businesses, community organisations and education institutions across Islington. Established in 2012, BIG Alliance aims to make community investment easier, more effective and more rewarding for its business members. About Mentoring Works
ELBA’s Mentoring Works programme has been running since 1996 and has supported thousands of young people across London and beyond. Mentoring Works connects Year 10 and Sixth Form/college students to volunteer business mentors working in the City and Canary Wharf. Mentors and mentees connect regularly for sessions designed to develop the knowledge, skills and qualities needed for future careers. Sessions explore the Skills Builder framework and key employability competencies but can also be tailored to individual needs. Mentoring Works provides resources, guides mentees in their own decisions and discoveries and promotes networks, opportunities and social mobility.
Purpose of the job
To be responsible for supporting the key aims and deliverables of Mentoring Works. The Mentoring Works Project Manager will need to develop and manage strong relationships with schools and colleges; recruit students and engage and train business volunteers as mentors; design resources; deliver sessions; monitor relationships; support with safeguarding and produce robust impact evaluations for the programme. You will be required to support other members of the Mentoring Works team and your colleagues as and when required. The post will be managed by the Head of Programmes - Education, with further support and training from the Mentoring Works team. The post holder will have regular one-to-one support for input and guidance to achieve agreed success indicators and will be subject to annual performance appraisals with mid-year reviews.

Job Description
- Manage relationships with schools, colleges and employers, with particular responsibility for ELBA’s partners
- To promote safety and wellbeing of students at all times, to follow ELBA’s safeguarding policies and have full regard to the policies of the partners engaged in the programme.

About the role
The Head of Income Generation is a new and important leadership role within Stonewall Housing, created to grow and diversify our voluntary income and support the next stage of our development as a nationwide LGBTQ+ housing and homelessness charity.
Reporting to the Director of Development, you will lead the development and delivery of ambitious income generation plans, with a particular focus on significantly growing income from corporate giving and partnerships.
You will build on Stonewall Housing’s existing corporate relationships while identifying and securing new opportunities across the UK. This will include strategic and commercial partnerships, Charity of the Year relationships, corporate donations, corporate foundations, employee fundraising, sponsorship, cause-related marketing and other opportunities for businesses and their employees to support our work.
You will develop compelling partnership propositions, lead applications and pitches, build relationships with senior decision-makers and create opportunities that deliver sustainable income alongside wider value for Stonewall Housing and the LGBTQ+ communities we support.
Alongside your focus on corporate income, you will work across Stonewall Housing’s wider fundraising portfolio, contributing to the development and growth of individual giving, major donor fundraising, community fundraising and other voluntary income streams. You will identify opportunities for different areas of fundraising to complement one another and create meaningful pathways for supporters to deepen their relationship with Stonewall Housing.
This is a senior role that combines strategic thinking with hands-on income generation. You will be as comfortable developing an income strategy and managing a pipeline as you are writing an application to a corporate foundation, pitching a partnership, meeting a prospective supporter or developing a new fundraising opportunity.
Working closely with the Director of Development and colleagues across Stonewall Housing, you will help translate our services, impact and ambitions into compelling opportunities for funders, businesses, partners and supporters.

Job Specification
The Role:
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development Officer manages development operations which underpin our fundraising strategy, including fundraising finance systems, donor research and stewardship, event support, and serving as the team lead for database management. Pathway's Business Development Manager plays a key role in our small core team, working with staff across the organisation to develop our offers to NHS partners and building and managing relationships with external funders and partners from the statutory, charity and corporate sectors. The main tasks are:
1. Business Development & Lead Generation
Research and identify opportunities to spread Pathway's models of improved care, including new routes to NHS commissioners, budget holders, and innovative funding mechanisms. With senior support, identify target contacts and generate leads to develop and diversify Pathway's revenue streams and carry out planning to adapt to the external environment.
2. Grant Writing & Funding Applications
Lead and co-ordinate the development of high-quality grant applications and service business cases, working across Pathway's teams to gather evidence, articulate impact, and make compelling cases for support to NHS commissioners and Trusts, charitable foundations, and corporate partners.
3. Relationship Management
Build, manage and track relationships with NHS commissioners, system partners, clinical champions, corporate partners and funders through new and existing mechanisms. Represent Pathway externally, developing a deep understanding of commissioners' and funders’ needs, and propose ways Pathway can plan to meet them. Help staff, Fellows, and close partners to understand these needs and how Pathway may need to change in response.

Essential requirements:

Faith: A faithful follower of Jesus Christ, committed to the vision and values of Hww UK.

Experience: Demonstrable success in fundraising, with a strong track record in individual giving and recurring gift growth.

Strategy: Experience in building or delivering a successful fundraising strategy and compelling cases for support.

Communication: Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences (faith-based, secular, and younger donors).

CRM and Data: Confident user of a fundraising CRM, able to manage data, segment supporters and use insight to inform decisions.

We're looking for a commercially minded relationship builder with a track record in business development and a creative approach to engaging prospective partners. You'll be an excellent communicator with the ability to bring opportunities to life through compelling storytelling and persuasive engagement. Experience of proactive outreach and generating new opportunities is essential. While charity sector experience would be beneficial, we also welcome applications from candidates with transferable sales or partnership development expertise gained in other sectors.

Person Specification
- Proven experience in securing corporate new business, from either a fundraising or sales background.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels and develop compelling proposals and pitches.
- A tenacious and proactive approach, with the energy, drive and enthusiasm to deliver outstanding results in corporate fundraising.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and meet deadlines effectively.
