About the Role
As part of our People and Culture Team, you will play a key role in providing a comprehensive and first-class recruitment and onboarding service to the College and all prospective candidates.
This includes, being the first point of contact for managers, candidates and new starters, working with hiring managers to ensure that they are equipped with the knowledge, skills and resources to attract and recruit the best talent for their teams and ensuring the College remains competitive and attractive in the external market.
Key tasks and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Act as the first point of contact for all recruitment queries and advice
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for all College vacancies
- Advise hiring managers on recruitment and selection processes from role release to offer, in line with the College’s Recruitment Policy, promoting EDI at all times
- Identify suitable job boards and platforms for advertising vacancies
- Manage the RCoA Careers page, ensuring it is engaging, up to date and fit for purpose
- Liaise with candidates (internal and external) and coordinate telephone, face-to-face and remote interviews and assessment days
- Manage the onboarding process, ensuring all pre‑employment checks are completed efficiently and in a timely manner
About You
You will have strong, in‑house recruitment experience, having managed the full end‑to‑end process from role release through to onboarding. You will also have strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels, and experience administering HRIS or Recruitment Management Systems.
You will be able to work independently and proactively within a small team, demonstrating excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication. You will also have a sound understanding of HR legislation, policy and best practice, and be proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint / OneDrive.

About the Role and the Team
The Development Team generate funds to enable everyone experiencing a mental health issue to get both support and respect. We fundraise from corporates, major donors, trusts, events and in the community as well as providing paid-for workplace wellbeing training and consultancy services. The Events and Fundraising Manager is one of four key Manager roles in the Development Team, responsible for providing excellent stewardship for our supporters, donors and sponsors, whilst generating six-figure income targets that underpin the charity’s impact.
This role works closely with the other fundraising colleagues, Volunteer, Communications, and Finance teams, to deliver unrestricted income, and growing a loyal supporter base across an annual calendar of exciting events and opportunities
About You

Job Purpose
At Waverley Abbey, we seek to extend and build the kingdom of God through encounter with Him, through education, engagement and enterprise, for the spiritual and cultural renewal of this generation and generations to come. As Fundraising Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting this mission by strengthening activities to raise finances from Trusts and Foundations, individual givers, mid–net-worth donors and partners. You help will shape compelling cases for support and build meaningful long-term relationships with funders, that grow our supporter base through proactive outreach, relationship management and strategic bid-writing. Key Responsibilities
1. Campaign support
> Support the Senior Marketing Manager, and wider marketing department, to align fundraising campaigns and activity with the wider organisational marketing calendar.
> Support the planning, development and delivery of fundraising activities and campaigns across email, web, social media, print, events and direct mail.
> Support the marketing department as they produce high quality fundraising assets, including videos, graphics, impact stories and supporter communications.

2. Trusts and Foundations
> Support compelling funding applications to Trusts and Foundations aligned with organisational priorities, with research, writing and submission.

Oversee the processing of all income transactions into the database on a timely basis.

About the Role

This is an exciting role in our committed policy team leading the fight to end child poverty in the UK. The government has just published a UK wide cross-government child poverty strategy, and made some historic commitments to reduce child poverty including scrapping the two-child limit and expanding free school meals in England. However, there is more to do, and this is a great time to join CPAG as we look to monitor the impact of these changes and influence policy makers and parliamentarians to ensure child poverty is high up the agenda.

The Role
As CEO, you will lead the UK team of Together We Learn and work in close partnership with the Ethiopian team, providing guidance and support to enable them to deliver programmes to a high standard. You will provide overall leadership for the charity, with responsibility for fundraising and stakeholder engagement, oversight of programmes, and management of finance and operations.
The annual turnover of Together We Learn is £350,000, and you will be responsible for line managing two staff in the UK and occasional interns, as well as supporting our Ethiopian partner, who has 15 programme and 8 support staff working across two regional offices: Gondar in the Amhara region and Addis Ababa in the Oromia region. The charity is managed by an experienced board of 5 trustees who meet quarterly and provide ad hoc support in their professional areas of expertise.
The charity is in a stable position with funds secured for the current year and a fundraising plan in place for the year ahead. You will have a detailed handover to enable you to carry out the varied functions required by the role and will be supported in these by the Programmes Manager and Sponsorship Coordinator. You will report to the board on a quarterly basis.
Our current three-year strategy focuses on building the capacity of our Ethiopian partner so that they can take a greater role in leading the organisation. This runs through our approach in all aspects of our work, and specific targets have been identified to help us achieve this goal over the strategic period. You will have the opportunity to advance our strategy using your unique skills.

Person Specification
