We’re looking for a competent and experienced Finance Manager to join our core team to cover maternity leave from September 2026 for around 6 months, with high likelihood of permanent extension following the cover period.
The main purpose of the role is to maintain robust financial, payroll, information and administration systems that support Chilypep’s strategic financial planning, sustainability, and programme development, following the organisation’s Financial Policy and Procedures.
This key member of our core team is a vital role for our organisation, providing the backbone and foundation for all the work we do to empower children and young people to have a voice, place and space in their communities and the wider world.
You will need a detailed understanding of the financial requirements of the charity sector, excellent teamwork and communication skills, along with experience and confidence to manage the breadth of tasks and relationships needed to keep a vibrant and busy youth charity going!

You will indirectly support young people by ensuring that our Centre operates safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing delivery space, facilities compliance and controlling office equipment and supplies. Having previous administrative experience is beneficial but not essential.
To be successful in this role, you must have a good understanding of the challenges young people within our target groups face, to assist them when they arrive in our Centre. In this role no two days are the same, you get to be involved with many different functions of the Trust and interact with everyone who works in the Centre, this is why planning and organisation skills are a must.

SANE is a UK-wide mental health charity working to improve the quality of life of anyone affected by mental illness. It aims to raise awareness and understanding of all mental health conditions; fight to improve frontline mental health services for individuals and carers; provide support, information and guidance through SANEline, our Call Back service, email and text support; and promote and host research into causes, treatments and therapies through its Prince of Wales International Centre for SANE research.
We are looking for people interested in providing compassionate support to people affected by mental health problems. This includes supporting people with severe mental illness, and carers, families and friends. In this role you will provide confidential emotional support by telephone, email and text, as well supporting our skilled volunteers through their development and during their weekly shifts.
This role provides valuable practical experience in providing emotional support to vulnerable people. Working within SANE support services requires a high level of empathy and emotional resilience as well as excellent communication skills. SANE takes take pride in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for both our staff and volunteers. The Sickle Cell Society (SCS) is the only national charity in the UK that supports and represents people affected by a sickle cell disorder. We provide information, advice and support to enable people to improve their overall quality of life. Job Purpose:
To assist the Fundraising Manager in the delivery of our Fundraising Strategy and on-going development to achieve our fundraising priorities and targets. You will be highly proficient in the use of business IT systems in particular Microsoft Excel to analyse data, and you will also have at least one year’s experience, or equivalent, in producing detailed and insightful reports.

Who we are
Every year, thousands of people in the UK face court alone. Often through no choice of their own, people must represent themselves at a moment that could have life-changing outcomes. This includes loss of access to children or homelessness. At the same time, people facing court alone may find themselves up against a party with legal representation. They are instantly at a disadvantage and overwhelmed by the enormity of the challenges they are up against. We supported unrepresented litigants in the civil and family courts in England and Wales over 45,000 times last year.
We provide a safe space with volunteers who listen to each client’s individual story. Last year, over 1000 volunteers helped people to get their thoughts in order, problem-solve and decide next steps, source relevant and reliable legal information, explain complex procedures, complete court forms, and clearly present statements.
At a time when legal support is increasingly limited, we have a vision that no one should have to face court alone.
The role
Support Through Court is establishing a legal advice clinic for money claim matters under £10,000, for a one-year pilot. Advice will be given to clients across the national service network who have been internally triaged to the clinic.
The role involves day-to day management of the clinic and supervising law students as they facilitate client appointments, conduct research and draft letters of advice. Clients will predominantly be supported remotely with occasional in-person appointments and advice “drop-ins” in the local area. You will train and supervise students to help them gain practical legal skills in a clinic setting, having final sign-off of completed letters of advice/oral advice to ensure clients receive an excellent service.
You will embed the legal advice offering of the clinic into the organisation, increasing and developing referrals from our national service network and supporting staff understanding of referral ability.

About the Role

Job title: Garden Manager
Location: Fullers Mill Garden, West Stow, Suffolk
Accountable to: Commercial Development Director
Staff reports: The Gardens team, Visitor Services team
Fullers Mill Garden is an enchanting and tranquil waterside and woodland garden, situated on the banks of the River Lark at West Stow in Suffolk. It combines a beautiful site of light dappled woodland with a fabulous collection of rare and unusual shrubs, perennials, lilies and marginal plants, collected over the course of 50 years by the creator of the garden, the late Bernard Tickner MBE.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead Fullers Mill Garden into its next chapter as a Perennial garden, maintaining and evolving a beautiful garden with a team of gardeners, volunteers and trainees – to give our garden loving visitors a magical experience on each visit. The garden is currently undergoing a process of proposed investment in its visitor infrastructure. The Garden Manager will be a key member of the project team.
Overall purpose
1. Through high standards of garden and landscape management and garden maintenance, ensure that the history, ecology, evolved design and artistic integrity of Fullers Mill and other grounds associated with the site are conserved and presented to an exemplary standard.
2. To recruit, train, manage and develop staff to achieve high standards of garden presentation and visitor satisfaction.
3. To build a culture that makes involvement in the garden a rewarding, rich and enjoyable experience for visitors, volunteers and staff.
4. To identify and develop opportunities for the promotion of the garden and the development of the visitor experience managing partnerships and relationships
Main responsibilities and duties
1. Management of gardens and landscape
a. To be responsible for the maintenance and management of the garden and its associated landscape within an approved budget.
b. To maintain high standards of garden and facilities presentation at all times.
c. Responsible for the day to day running of the garden and supervision of staff, volunteers and contractors to ensure that appropriate horticultural and service standards are maintained.
d. To oversee the management and delivery of educational, training and skills activities and events, utilising the facilities and buildings within the site.
e. To undertake the direct delivery of activities on selected topics relating to horticulture and the garden.
f. To contribute as a key member of the Perennial project team in the formulation and delivery of the plan for the long-term future of Fullers Mill garden and buildings.
g. To co-ordinate the Fullers Mill Garden Committee, establishing sound relationships with its members and utilising their knowledge and experience in maintaining and developing the garden.
2. Financial Management:
a. Work alongside the Commercial Development Director to manage allocated budgets, prepare and provide bids for capital expenditure and small projects associated with the site.
3. Staff management, training and development:
a. To be responsible for staff recruitment, training and development of competencies to deliver agreed maintenance and presentation standards and to be responsible for staff welfare, discipline and other employee issues in consultation with the organisations central support team.
4. Projects and coordination:
a. To participate in the project team overseeing the creation of new visitor facilities and infrastructure;
b. To manage and oversee work delivered by external contractors or agencies.
c. To ensure a coordinated approach for all site-based garden maintenance, development, visitor facilities and services and to effectively manage change as appropriate.
5. Business Development and Public Relations:
a. To work with the marketing team to explore and deliver initiatives both nationally and regionally to increase awareness of both the charity and its gardens.
b. Where appropriate explore and support local marketing opportunities to encourage greater access for visitors, to identify and engage in opportunities which promote the charity and the garden as a high quality visitor attraction.
c. To act as site representative, promoting the charity and the garden to ensure positive relationships.
6. Documentation:
a. To ensure that all site documentation is maintained and distributed where appropriate.
b. To create and maintain records relating to changes to the garden through maintenance, restoration and conservation.
c. Maintain appropriate records for the effective management of staff, equipment, machinery and health and safety on site.
7. Health and Safety:
a. To conduct, review and maintain all risk assessments across site
b. To ensure all staff and volunteers are trained and have a good understanding of health and safety requirements where applicable
c. To ensure correct PPE and COSHH records are reviewed and maintained
d. To ensure correct documentation and risk assessments are provided by external contractors
8. Other:
a. Any other duties as instructed by the line manager that may be required within the general purpose of the job.

MAIN TERMS AND CONDITIONS
General: This is a full-time post working 5 days across 7.
Location: Fullers Mill Garden, West Stow, Suffolk
Salary: £42,000 + benefits
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Pension: up to 7% employer’s contribution to matched employee contribution to the
charity’s stakeholder pension.
Holidays: 25 days per annum plus Bank holidays

The role

They will play a key role in supporting the delivery of FPM’s Certificate and Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine (DPM), training and standards, chiefly in two areas:
The postholder will support FPM’s Examinations and Standards Manager and Digital Training Manager in delivering a high quality customer experience.
We are looking for a bright, dynamic self-starter who is a team player, organised and has good communication skills. The ideal candidate will bring great energy, diligence and attention to detail, and will be keen to make a positive contribution in all aspects of the role. Specific tasks include: acting as the first line of response for queries; supporting the registration of examination and training candidates; handling meetings administration, including sending out Teams or Zoom links and meeting materials; and assisting with CRM testing and setup. An understanding of professional development in a professional environment would be an advantage but is not essential. Full training will be given.
This is a full-time, permanent role. FPM offers a fantastic benefits package, including flexible working, 29 days annual leave, and Christmas closure days. A pension is offered after three months. The role is offered subject to successful completion of the six-month probation period.
