As a Project Manager – Research Systems, you will lead a high-impact project that transforms how Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association research grants are processed. In this role, you will take ownership from day one, guiding a complex system project from design through to implementation, while enabling colleagues and partners to adopt new ways of working with confidence. Your work as a Project Manager will improve how research funding operates, strengthening collaboration and helping ensure progress in research development and innovation for MND is supported effectively.

At the MND Association, you will play a central role in delivering change for the Research Management System and a number of priority projects across the organisation. The MND Association is focused on improving outcomes for people affected by MND, and as a Project Manager, your contribution will directly support that aim.

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead end-to-end delivery of the Research Management System and other priority projects
• Lead the end-to-end procurement process, including Request for Proposal development and supplier evaluation
• Oversee project governance, plans, RAID logs and reporting to stakeholders
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure delivery meets scope, time and quality
• Map and improve research funding processes with key teams
• Ensure integration, data, security and technical requirements are met
• Oversee system design, testing and readiness for go-live
• Deliver change management, training and adoption support
• Track milestones, budgets and risks, ensuring effective delivery
• Support additional PMO projects where required

About You 

• Recognised project management qualification (PRINCE2, APM PMQ or equivalent)
• Experience working on or leading change initiatives and adoption of refreshed operational practices
• Proven experience delivering technology projects as a Project Manager or similar
• Strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Experience managing suppliers and stakeholders
• Skilled in producing clear project documentation
• Confident communicator across all levels
• Strong organisation and ability to manage competing priorities
• Experience leading teams to successful outcomes

Desirable

• Experience in research funding or charity environments
• Knowledge of grant or medical research funding systems
• Understanding of cloud platforms or web technologies
• Familiarity with change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci ADKAR, Kotter, or similar).

The Somerset Environmental Records Centre (SERC) is a non-profit organization hosted by the Somerset Wildlife Trust. We serve as the county’s central hub for data regarding wildlife sightings, habitats, and geology.

About you and the Role

You’ll be part of a team where new software and techniques can do some of the heavy lifting, but we also need you to be resourceful and innovative in your thinking. You will work closely with our Data Manager and colleagues, to refine existing systems and processes, and ensure best practice is embedded in everything that we do. Including within the centre’s data acquisition, collation, synthesis, management and analysis, where diligence and achieving efficiencies, are both priorities.

Principal elements of the role are to assist in the Data Management process within SERC, data governance and policy, data collection and capture, storage, security, integration and analysis. This includes software management and working with existing data and acquiring or accessing new data and evidence from varying sources. You’ll help ensure all incoming and outgoing data processes run smoothly, securely and are up to date, to fulfil SERC’s mission as the ‘go to’ ecological data evidence provider for the county.

Whilst working closely with the Data Manager and Head of SERC, there will be opportunities for personal development and to work with other team members in the promotion and growth of SERC, ensuring environmental information is gathered, stored, analysed, interpreted and managed in line with the requirements of the SERC partnership.

Responsibility 1: Data Management

• Helping maintain the integrity of SERC data in the databases and GIS system. This includes the establishment and conformity to SERC IT policies and protocols, ensuring that data integrity is maintained, routine data quality processes are carried out, and data protection legislation is adhered to, for example regarding personally identifiable data such as GDPR.
• Uploading data to the databases as required. Responsible for the smooth and timely transfer of data between databases/systems, such as uploads from Mapmate files and NBN uploads/extracts, discussing and resolving technical issues as necessary.
• Carrying out the analysis of SERC’s data holdings and identifying gaps at least annually in order to inform the following year’s activities.
• Undertaking SLA deliverables regarding data extracts in a timely and accurate manner as required by each Service Level Agreement.
• Providing technical input to the development of SERC software applications to assist SERC in streamlining its services and developing its products.
• Working with the SERC Data Manager and team to optimise SERC’s Engineering Data Management Process to facilitate current and future mandatory Government policies, such as BNG etc.
• Actively sharing IT and systems knowledge and skills with colleagues and volunteers.

Responsibility 2: Data Security

• Working with the SERC Data Manager to continually maintain robust systems and processes, and seek improvements in data security, for example embedding metadata into spatial outputs etc.
• Ensuring backup arrangements are adequate, ensuring data is as secure as it can be and that recovery procedures work as expected.
• Implementing the correct processes, tools, and controls to secure and protect SERC’s databases against accidental and intentional threats. Secure sensitive data and maintain the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of the databases and associated applications, systems, physical and virtual servers, including all other storage medium held on and off-site, and network infrastructure.

About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker on a full-time basis (35 hours, 5 days per week) to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Thames Valley Care Team to families in the local area, at a time where they need it most.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the Thames Valley Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness. You will enjoy responsibility for managing your own schedule, remaining flexible to the needs of the families on your caseload.

Having worked in a stressful and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.

This role covers Thames Valley and surrounding areas. The role does require travel, however you have the freedom to plan your own diary around the demands of both the families you are working with, your team, and also any personal appointments you may need to attend.

About the Investment team

The Investment team is responsible for selecting portfolio partners, managing our charity investments and supporting our portfolio partners to improve and scale their impact. 

The Investment team also leads the Impetus Leadership Academy, a leadership development programme to support talent from ethnic minority backgrounds in the UK youth sector to progress into senior leadership roles. 

The team is made up of 18 people, including former teachers, charity chief executives, charity impact leads, management consultants, social investment portfolio managers and impact consultants.   

The team is led by a Portfolio Director who sits on the Senior Management Team. The Portfolio Director has 5 direct reports: a Deputy Portfolio Director, three Sector Leads (who lead our work in school engagement, school attainment and employment sectors) and an Impact Lead. Sector Leads line manage 6 Investment Directors between them. Investment Directors line manage Investment Managers (currently 7). Investment Directors and Investment Managers tend to primarily focus on a sector but might have mixed portfolios, depending on need, experience and interest. 

The Investment team has a good track record of role progression. All four Leads and a number of our Investment Directors were promoted from within the team.

Finding high potential charities and non-profit partners for our portfolio 

• Identifying potential charitable organisations for investment.
• Leading and delivering in-depth due diligence process within the scope of a grant round, to assess and build partnership foundations with potential partners – covering leadership and governance, and their impact, scale, and partnership potential.
• Modelling from first contact of origination, our approach to engaged and trust-based investment management support.
• Developing and presenting high quality investment propositions to our Investment Committee.

Managing partnerships with portfolio partners​

• ​Managing relationships with partner Chairs and CEOs. 
• Agreeing Service Funding Agreements, including appropriate annual investment milestones to allow for a clear assessment of re-investment potential at end of phase. 
• Regularly monitoring and assessing partner progress / risks against milestones and making evidence-based recommendations on progression or exit to Leads, Portfolio Director and the Investment Committee.
• Escalating key risks on performance, leadership and safeguarding.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Engagement Programme 

• Plan, co-ordinate and deliver an engaging public programme of visitor led events, aimed at building new audiences and boosting our visitor numbers 
• Work with the Head of Engagement, to develop the group visit offer, ensuring forthcoming anniversaries and activities are exploited 
• Support the Head of Engagement to deliver the Social Justice Programme, identifying opportunities within existing talks and tours programming to further support the annual theme
• Provide administration of all groups and public tours, ensuring they are booked and co-ordinated accurately 
• Coordinate with the Audience Development Coordinator to evaluate visitor and volunteer feedback, taking action to make improvements as necessary  
• Work with external stakeholders and speakers to deliver an engaging year-round expert talks series

Financial administration

• Work with the Finance Team, ensure all fees for engagement events are invoiced and paid for in advance 

 Relationships 

• Line management of the Cathedral Guides volunteer team, working with the Head Guide to ensure guides are kept up to date of Cathedral policy and are trained and delivering excellent customer service 
• Work with the Verging and Property team to ensure events are coordinated and delivered to a high professional standard  

 Other 

• Support the Head of Engagement to deliver large scale public events providing administrating and on the day delivery support

The Head of Experience is a senior cross-organisational leadership role building and leading a new Experience function at the heart of the Engagement and Income Generation directorate.

Job Description & Person Specification 

Purpose of This Role: 

This key support role will work with colleagues across the organisation to ensure NASP’s data and key systems, including our CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365), dashboards and databases, are effective, accurate, and useful. This includes improving data capture, enabling consistent reporting, and ensuring that quality data can be used to support organisational priorities.

The role will support colleagues to use systems confidently and understand data requirements, providing analytic solutions that meet the needs of the organisation, and identifying where practices and systems can be improved.

The role will sit within the wider Operations team who oversee the core business and operational functions of NASP, including Finance, HR, Governance, Project Support, Administration, and Logistics. As a member of this team, the role will provide general administrative support to NASP programmes, liaising with our CRM support provider (Chorus) and IT provider (Logicata) to act as an essential bridge between internal colleagues and these external technical experts.

As NASP continues to develop its membership and training offers, the Data and Systems Officer will support the growth of this work, ensuring that systems and data flows are aligned, and leading on the technical management of data within these systems. The role will also support teams with reporting and evaluation, making effective use of NASP’s data. 

This is an ideal opportunity for a proactive and highly organised individual with excellent data management, administrative, and technical skills (particularly working with CRMs) to support across the range of NASP’s programmes and projects, as well as development of new systems and processes. 

Person Specification: 

Essential 

• Knowledge of the VCFSE sector and/or Social Prescribing 

• Good working knowledge of CRM systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 (including technical skills) 

• Experience of administrating/managing membership systems or other databases 

• Knowledge of GDPR and other Data compliance requirements 

• High-level numeracy, logical reasoning, accuracy and attention to detail 

 Desirable   

• Comfortable working with large, complex data sets and identifying trends and data quality issues 

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, and experience with data visualisation tools 

• Experience in the charity, health, or public sector 

• Ability to work within a busy environment and effectively prioritising and managing own workload 

• Ability to manage working relationships with external partners & providers 

• Experience in training & upskilling colleagues (particularly in data management, systems & processes) 

• Affinity with NASP’s Values as defined in the NASP Strategic Plan 

Responsibilities: 

CRM and Systems Management  

• Ensure colleagues across the organisation are effectively using the CRM (Microsoft Dynamics); as well as other key data systems, supporting with staff training and guidance, providing advice and support where needed to ensure the team feels positive and confident using them in their day-to-day work.

• Undertake regular reviews & audits of data stored on the CRM to amend errors (e.g. duplicate records), and identify gaps or areas of concern, ensuring a smooth user experience. 

• Work closely with our CRM support provider (Chorus) to manage any support requests and technical errors, undertaking any updates, fixes and developments to the system where required. 

• Proactively identify any CRM and wider system processes that can be improved or developed, working with NASP colleagues to ensure the CRM is being effectively integrated into their work. 

• Working with the Strategic Project Manager, undertake regular contract reviews with our CRM provider to ensure value for money and quality of service.

Data Management 
 

• Oversee NASP’s Data inbox, responding to enquiries and escalating concerns or risks. 

• Working with Director of Operations to proactively support NASP to meet data compliance; to identify any data risks and to mitigate these, including gaps in data capture or poor system use. 

• Present data through reports and produce insights to support NASP’s evidence, evaluation and reporting needs (e.g. for grant funders, programme evaluation or trustee board reports). 

• Work with NASP colleagues to improve how data is used in their work, building good data habits across the organisation. 

• Identify and address common issues in how documents and information are managed across the organisation, ensuring standards are maintained consistently across NASP.

 Systems Integration  

• Work with colleagues to support the ongoing development of NASP’s Membership & Training offers, by ensuring the data and systems that support this work are effective. 

• Support colleagues with effective data use to track the engagement, activity and growth of key networks and communities. 

• Provide administrative support to establish and develop any new systems, working with colleagues and external providers as needed, ensuring that data flows between existing systems are aligned. 

• Work closely with the Communications team to ensure the NASP website supports the capture and flow of data effectively. 

• Liaise with our IT provider (Logicata) for anything relating to the Microsoft suite, including technical support.

General 

• Take a proactive approach to support and lead administrative reviews / efficiencies across the organisation, ensuring consistency of approach. 

• Work with teams across the organisation to help ensure we are delivering business objectives. 

• Support the Communications team and other colleagues in managing NASP shared mailboxes, including deputising for colleagues where necessary. 

• Support the Operations team in the ongoing maintenance of business, finance and project management processes & systems.

About the role

This is an exciting role within the Lived Experience Insight team, focusing on development and co-ordination of an engaging and impactful involvement and coproduction programme that delivers meaningful opportunities for people with lived experience of the housing emergency to shape and influence Shelter’s work. You will lead on planning and delivery of Lived Experience Insight across your directorate through front line delivery in the CPC Directorate and supportive line management.

Role specifics

We’re looking for someone who can lead and develop meaningful lived experience insight work that helps shape services, influence change and strengthen co-production across Shelter. You’ll work closely with teams across your directorate and nationally to coordinate insight projects, share learning and embed lived experience into decision-making and ways of working. The role requires you to support wellbeing, safeguarding and personal development for people involved in our work and helping create pathways into volunteering and employment. You’ll also design and deliver training and resources for colleagues, while ensuring activity is well monitored, evaluated and continuously improved.

The Lived Experience Insight team deliver involvement and co-production activities across the organisation, which shape the ongoing design, delivery and governance of Shelter’s work. People with lived experience are involved in a range of ways, including lived experience groups, codesigning Shelter's services and campaigns, sharing decision making on staff recruitment and supporting external influencing and systemic change via consultation and coproduction with key stakeholders.

About the role

The Director of Finance is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, ensuring the long-term financial sustainability and resilience of the charity. You will lead financial strategy, governance, planning, reporting and control across a complex organisation with multiple income streams including fundraising, retail operations and charitable/service delivery activities.

• Experience of senior financial leadership experience within a complex organisation.
• Experience of working with Boards, Committees and senior stakeholders.
• Experience of leading finance systems or transformation projects.
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
