About The Role
As a Community Builder, you will be at the heart of our charity’s ambition to reach seldom-heard members of the Armed-forces Community (AFC) and engage them in creating positive action that strengthens wider connections.
You will identify the strengths, passions and interests within the AFC, foster meaningful connections with the wider community, and utilise these to create meaningful and sustainable outcomes.
About You
You will be a highly motivated and dynamic individual who is passionate about collaboration and community-led change. You will have experience of engaging and supporting people in a community, charity, education, social care, housing, youth work, or other people-focused role using a range of facilitation tools, techniques and Community Development skills. You will need experience of working in a community setting with a diverse range of people and interests. You will have good organisational skills, energy and the ability to listen, build relationships, and inspire collaboration, which will be essential in creating positive, lasting change.
We are looking for someone with:
- A Community Development qualification and/or transferable Community Development skills and experience.
- A basic understanding of the Asset-Based Community Development approach (ABCD) is required however full support and development of this practice and our internal ways of working will be provided.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships that drive action.
- A track record of successful collaboration with internal and external partners and stakeholders.
- Effective and efficient organisational and IT skills.
PLEASE NOTE:
- The successful candidate will need to be based within a 30-minute commute of their allocated locality and there is a requirement to travel regularly across the wider area (travel expenses covered). The successful candidate must possess a valid full UK driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle with business insurance for work purposes.
- There will also be a requirement for occasional travel to other UK locations for meetings and events depending on the charity’s needs such as our annual all colleagues in person event.
- The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week over 5 days, Monday - Sunday. Core working days will be Monday to Friday; however, flexibility is essential, as regular evening and weekend work will also be required to meet the needs of the role. Working hours will vary to ensure a total of 70 hours is covered over a two-week period, so please take this into consideration before applying.

Role
You will provide pro–active emotional, practical and advocacy support for male and non-binary survivors who have experienced any form of sexual violence and are engaging (or considering engaging) with the criminal justice system.
Our ISVAs work with clients currently residing in any London borough, or if the abuse was committed in any London borough. Some travel to London will be expected.
An ISVA qualification or relevant degree is desirable, but not essential. We consider people from a wide range of educational backgrounds and work experience. What matters is that you are empathetic and will support the specific needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Training and Development
- Collaborate with Learning and Development Lead and Practice Team to ensure training programs are inclusive, accessible, and responsive to the needs of diverse communities.
- Use adult learning principles to design and deliver creative, innovative, and bespoke training solutions aligned with local demand, strategic priorities, and funding requirements.
- Will deliver training through online learning systems, including learning management systems (LMS), virtual training tools, and e-learning platforms.
- Develop and apply robust quality assurance and evaluation processes for all training activities. Collect feedback, analyse outcomes, and implement improvements where required.
- Deliver both internal and external training sessions across TLC subject areas.
- Coordinate and facilitate job specific inductions for new starters, ensuring all staff receive ongoing professional development in line with the TLC training plan.

2. Income Generation
- Support the Learning and Development Lead to collaborate with TLC’s Development Team to identify and apply for funding opportunities to expand and enhance training services.
- Following successful funding applications, plan, deliver, and monitor training programs in line with funding agreements and outcomes.
3. Quality Assurance
- Support the Head of Practice and Safeguarding, and the Learning and Development Lead, in maintaining high quality standards and compliance with accreditation frameworks.
- Contribute to achieving and maintaining accredited quality awards through ongoing monitoring, review, and implementation of quality action plans.
- Work with the Operations Team to collect and analyse customer feedback and reviews, using insights to support continuous improvement, funding applications, and marketing initiatives.
- Support the Learning and Development Lead in ensuring all policies, procedures, and training materials are in place to support staff, volunteers, and placements, including induction and ongoing learning.
4. Partnership and Community Engagement
- Represent TLC at partnership meetings and events to promote training and development services.
- Support the Marketing and Communications Team in promoting services, sharing information, and engaging the local community through social media and other communication channels.
- Actively contribute to raising the profile of TLC through collaboration, partnership working, and effective promotion of training opportunities.
General
Partake in evening and weekend work as required. Support the designated safeguarding lead to ensure all staff, volunteers, trustees and students at TLC understand that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. Ensure adherence to policies mandatory training, reporting concerns, and compliance to protect children and adults at risk.

Role Purpose
The Operations Director role is responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the foodbank, ensuring sustainable service delivery while driving income generation and fundraising growth. You will oversee operations, fundraising strategy, partnerships, and compliance, ensuring the charity can meet increasing community need in a financially sustainable way with a passion for tackling poverty.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all operational aspects of the foodbank, ensuring efficient, safe, and compassionate service delivery.

The Active Recovery Project gives adult survivors of abuse the opportunity to take part in community-based activities. Members of Active Recovery can participate in a variety of group activities with others who share or understand their experience and develop peer relationships, resulting in increasing confidence and reduced isolation. The activities are based on ideas from our members and include water-based activities (such as rowing, canoeing, sailing and kayaking), surfing, trips to community spaces and creative sessions (such as arts and crafts). Activities take place every week. Each activity will last approximately 2.5 hours each. Members can attend the group sessions for up to 18 months.
Job Purpose:
We are looking for a warm and passionate leader to come and join the Active Recovery Service.
As an Active Recovery Lead, their job will be to develop and deliver the Active Recovery Project in Bristol and in Somerset. Using a trauma-informed approach, the Active Recovery Lead will create and provide a safe and supportive space for clients from The Sexual Violence Alliance organisations (The Southmead Project, SARSAS, Womankind and the Bridge Sarc) to participate in a variety of group activities, with others who share or understand their experience and develop peer relationships, resulting in increasing confidence and reduced isolation.
Principal Tasks:

Run two Active Recovery groups a week, with , with the help of the Practitioner.

Provide initial trauma-informed assessment phone calls and/or meetings with potential members as part of the registration process for Active Recovery. This includes assessing need, risk and suitability for the service using a trauma-informed approach.

Create safety plans and tailor activity sessions where appropriate after building relationships with members following the initial phone calls.

Plan trauma-informed sessions for members, including producing risk assessments for each activity, visiting activity locations and delivering relevant trauma training to activity providers.

Oversee and lead on setting up, delivering and debriefing about activity sessions with members, volunteers and staff. Ensuring members are clear on each session's ground rules and safeguarding processes, using the Member’s Agreement.

Provide trauma-informed face-to-face support to members at sessions who may become overwhelmed or require help dealing with flashbacks and dissociation.

As a University Partnership Manager at upReach, you will play a vital role in securing and growing high-impact partnerships with universities committed to social mobility.

Job Description
Our Marie Curie’s Internal Communications and Engagement team is responsible for keeping more than 4,000 colleagues across the UK informed, connected and aligned with our mission. The team plays a vital role in shaping employee experience - ensuring people understand organisational priorities, feel engaged in change, and see how their work contributes to long-lasting change.
As Internal Communications and Engagement Coordinator, you’ll help bring the organisation’s internal story to life. From drafting engaging content and maintaining intranet pages to supporting campaigns and staff events, you’ll ensure colleagues receive clear, timely and meaningful communication. Your work will help strengthen engagement, reinforce our values, and create a positive and connected employee experience across Marie Curie.
This is a temporary role that offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment - ideal for someone looking to build or develop a career in communications within a purpose-driven organisation.
Your Impact:
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the Internal Communications team, including project management, meeting coordination and following up on actions.
- Track communication metrics and maintain accurate reporting records.
- Draft, edit and publish engaging content for internal channels, including newsletters, intranet, email and digital screens.
- Ensure content is accurate, accessible, aligned to tone of voice and delivered to deadline.
- Maintain and update intranet pages and support management of the communications calendar.
- Support the delivery of internal campaigns and initiatives that reinforce organisational priorities and values.
- Assist with planning and delivering staff briefings, Q&A sessions and engagement events.
- Gather and interpret colleague feedback to improve communication effectiveness.
- Suggest creative ideas to enhance engagement and internal storytelling.
Key Criteria:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Understanding of what makes communication clear, engaging and accessible.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities, maintaining a flexible and solutions-focused approach.
- Proactive, positive attitude with a genuine interest in internal communications and employee engagement.
- Previous experience creating content for newsletters or digital channels will be an advantage.

Salary: £23,133 - 24,350 per annum
Contract: Fixed-term (6 months), full-time (35h per week)
Based: Hybrid role – you will work from home with one day per week in our Embassy Gardens office in London. Occasional travel for a team day may be required once every 2-3 months.
