We're looking for a Media, Communications and Campaigns Lead to join UNJUST and lead our media, internal and external communications, and campaigns activity. Working closely with the Executive Director and Research and Policy Lead, you'll develop and deliver strategic communications that support our organisational goals, increase visibility and strengthen our advocacy and campaign efforts.
This is a varied role where you'll manage media enquiries, develop relationships with journalists, create content across our digital platforms, support public campaigns and ensure our research, engagement and policy work is communicated effectively. You'll also help amplify the voices of lived experience through ethical, accessible storytelling and prepare key messaging and briefing materials for media and political engagement.
We're looking for someone with experience in media and communications, excellent written and verbal communication skills, confidence working with journalists, and a strong understanding of the role strategic communications plays in advocacy. You'll be organised, collaborative and committed to UNJUST's values, anti-racism and ethical storytelling.

About the role:
We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker on a full-time basis (35 hours, 5 days per week), to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our London & South East Team to families in the local area, at a time where they need it most.

You'll be a strong writer who can produce engaging press releases, statements, media briefings and other content for a range of audiences. You'll have a good understanding of what makes a compelling news story, experience creating impactful content, and the ability to turn complex information into clear and engaging communications. About the role:
The Floating Support Worker will specialise in working with women for whom housing, and risk of tenancy breakdown is a priority. You will provide specialist housing and domestic abuse support to women aged 18 and over. The accommodation needs of the women you support will require you to advocate and support for each woman efficiently and empathically, whilst liaising with providers and stakeholders to ensure her accommodation needs are met. The role is dynamic and requires the post holder to respond to women with effective crisis intervention, advocacy and support. They will be required to coordinate the provision of multiagency support which focuses on working with clients to maintain their tenancies and prevent homelessness. The post holder will establish positive, proactive, and innovative working relationships with housing services and partner agencies.
The Floating Support Worker will ensure that the women survivors views and needs inform every stage of the process, and so the post holder will be empathic, empowering and able to advocate for women. You will also share your learning with your team, Advance and other stakeholders to ensure best practice is consistently achieved.
Working as part of a team of Floating Support Workers, you will make proactive contact and provide high quality non-judgemental advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment. You will be responsible for a number of women at a time and you will be their designated and consistent support worker. You will also support women and referrers at the first stage of referral by completing assessments and providing crisis intervention support as part of a ‘duty’ team with designated days for you to do this.
The Floating Support Worker will have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse and the housing sectors. As an experienced domestic abuse advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, you will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information appropriately.
Experience of supporting female survivors of domestic violence with housing and accommodation needs, in partnership with other organisations, and of safeguarding procedures is essential for this post.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

Create effective working partnerships with housing service providers and the local council to promote the Floating Support Worker Service

Provide information, guidance and support to referral stakeholders to enable them to identify women at risk of and experiencing domestic violence, enabling them to confidently respond and refer women to the service. Develop and deliver support plans that include delivery of high-quality face to face or telephone crisis intervention, information, advocacy and support, in respect to criminal and civil remedies, housing, health, welfare rights, children’s legislation and other appropriate interventions. Advise women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies, making referrals and co-ordinating the provision of multi-agency support where necessary, and proactively advocate ensuring barriers to accessing support and protection are minimised

My client is the world's leading group of science museums, inspiring millions of visitors each year. It operates five museums across the UK and works to engage people with science, technology, engineering and innovation through exhibitions, learning programmes and research.
As they continue to evolve their People & Culture function, they are looking for an experienced Employee Relations & Advisory Team Lead to establish and lead a new centre of expertise, ensuring colleagues and managers receive a consistent, high-quality and commercially focused employee relations and advisory service.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the organisation at a time of transformation. Reporting to the Head of People, you'll lead a small team of Employee Relations Advisors and People Advisors, working closely with People Partners and the wider People & Culture team to embed new ways of working, strengthen governance and help create an exceptional employee experience across their national museum group.
The Employee Relations & Advisory Team Lead role is a permanent position paying £60,000 - £70,000 per annum and can be based in London, York, Bradford, Manchester or Wroughton, with hybrid working available. Occasional travel between sites will be required.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of Employee Relations Advisors and People Advisors, creating a collaborative, customer-focused and high-performing culture.

Your duties will include:

What you’ll do:
Finance
- Manage and maintain all financial aspects of the charity, including (but not limited to), budgeting, forecasting, reporting, ledgers, balance sheets, bank reconciliations, debtor accounts, cash flow management, insurances, property and procurement.
- Take a lead on the development of financial and fundraising processes and strategies.
- Manage and be the main point of contact for all aspects of ESFA and DfE funding compliance and reporting.
- Lead a small team to deliver outstanding support to the charity and act as a key financial advisor to managers across the organisation.
- Produce clear and concise monthly management accounts and provide financial insights to senior managers and the Board of Trustees.
- Working closely with external auditors, prepare and oversee our year end accounts.
Operations
- Ensure that charity governance and compliance is upheld, by contributing to record maintenance, managing registers and supporting with reviews of policies and procedures.
- Work with our external IT partners to manage our technology. You will make sure that the correct infrastructure, systems and processes are in the right place at the right time.
- Lead on IT security for the charity, implementing regular reviews to monitor compliance.
- Act as the Data Controller and manage all areas of data protection regulations, always prioritising data security.
- Develop and review charity policies as necessary, ensuring they align with best practices and legal requirements.
- Ensure compliance of Health and Safety policies, liaising with external advisors to maintain safety within the workplace.

You may not be involved in the day-to-day work with our service users, but the work you will do is vital to the success of our charity.

You'll be a motivated and experienced professional who is passionate about making a difference. You should be:
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA part-qualified with significant experience (or fully qualified is a bonus!).
- A proven leader with the ability to inspire and develop a team.

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is the organisational lead for all of our operations at Open Door Charity. About Adolescent Health Study
The Adolescent Health Study (AHS) is an ambitious new UKRI-funded initiative to establish a prospective, longitudinal population study that will generate a globally leading open science data platform and research resource. AHS aims to recruit at least 100,000 young people from across the UK and to follow their mental and physical health and wellbeing over at least 10 years. It plans to collect data through questions and measures; to obtain bio-samples for a wide range of genomic and other high-throughput assays; and to capture linked data relevant to health and wellbeing from participants’ health, education and other administrative records. There will be a strong emphasis on engaging with and involving young people, schools, parents and other relevant stakeholders in the design and delivery of the study, as well as on including young people that represent as wide as possible a range of backgrounds, experiences and characteristics. AHS will focus on enabling a wide range of research, including studies of the critical biological and social developments that occur during the transition from childhood to adulthood and the determinants of both mental and physical health and wellbeing in adolescents and young adults.
Purpose of the post
The administrative coordinator will play a key role in providing administrative, coordination and financial support across AHS. The role focuses on managing core systems, inboxes and documents, ensuring information is accurate, accessible and compliant. Acting as a central point for organisation, the postholder will coordinate meetings, support teams with routine administrative tasks, and contribute to smooth financial processes. They will help maintain effective workflows in a virtual environment, escalating issues as needed to keep daily operations running efficiently.
Main responsibilities
Administration and systems management
- Manage AHS central inbox(es) and escalate matters to the business administrator and business operations team as appropriate
- Provide day-to-day administrative support including preparing, filing, archiving and retrieving documents
- Manage and update shared digital platforms, databases and documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Manage administrative functions such as task tracking in a fully virtual environment
Team coordination and support
- Coordinate in-person, hybrid and virtual meetings and workshops, including scheduling and logistics, for AHS team members and external parties as required
- Provide key administrative support during meetings, including business and study meeting minutes as required
Finance delivery and support
- Support invoice processing, including maintaining accurate records
- Prepare payment requests and documentation in line with internal processes
- Maintain up-to-date financial administration files across shared systems
Operational delivery and implementation
- Provide hands-on support to teams and managers in rolling out new tools, systems and operational processes that are critical for the success of the longitudinal study
- Support the smooth, day-to-day running of business operations, ensuring tasks and processes are completed efficiently
- Identify operational issues or bottlenecks, propose practical solutions where appropriate, and escalate matters to the relevant members of the AHS team
Knowledge, skills and experience
Essential criteria
- Qualified to A level or vocational qualifications, or equivalent, plus some experience in a relevant role
- Experience of working in an administrative role for a hybrid or virtual organisation, preferably a charity or small-to-medium (SME) organisation
- Experience of planning and delivering the logistics to in-person, hybrid and virtual meetings for 10+ team members across the UK
- Experience of financial administration
- Able to manage information electronically through databases and spreadsheets
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the proven ability to prioritise, at times under pressure, produce accurate work to deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to take ownership of problems and find solutions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in a health and/or data research environment
- Understanding and experience of using project management tools and techniques

About this job
The Head of Research enables successful delivery of the organisation’s ground-breaking Research Strategy. They will provide vital leadership, strategic direction and day to day management of the MS Society’s research programme as well as leadership of the Research Team.
