About the Role
Smart Works Greater Manchester opened its first centre in 2015 and expanded with a second centre in Manchester city centre in 2023. The Partnerships & Fundraising Manager will have responsibility for all aspects of fundraising including the design and delivery of Smart Works Greater Manchester’s annual fundraising strategy and activity plan with a clear purpose of ensuring our long-term sustainability. They will focus on the corporate and stakeholder partnership fundraising activity, to generate a six‑figure annual income portfolio.

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for a Senior Quantitative Policy and Research Officer to join our Policy and Research team based in London.
We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037.
Together with our partners, we support over 15,000 young people each year.
The Policy and Research team at Centrepoint provides the evidence base for the organisation’s policy and influencing work, using research, data and the experiences of young people to understand the causes and scale of youth homelessness and identify effective solutions. The team leads research across a range of policy areas, produces Centrepoint’s Youth Homelessness Databank, analyses national and local data, and translates findings into clear policy recommendations. It also supports external influencing, engaging with Government, Parliament, local authorities and other organisations to ensure evidence is used to shape policy and improve outcomes for young people.
Hybrid Working
Centrepoint operates a hybrid working model. The requirement is a minimum of 50% of your working week. For most full-time colleagues, this means attending the office for five days over a two-week period (e.g., two days one week and three days the next). For colleagues on different contracts (including part-time or compressed contracts) this will be adjusted accordingly.

We are looking for a Scientific Events Manager, on a part-time basis, who will be responsible for the development of the Society’s Annual Conference and other events, in line with the Society’s strategic objectives, bringing together members and delegates from across the breadth of microbiology. This role offers an ambitious, skilled relationship developer the opportunity to build and grow Smile Train UK's major donor programme as part of its new five-year strategy, with strong organisational investment in philanthropy.
Working closely with a highly experienced and collaborative Director of UK Fundraising and broader fundraising team, you will contribute to developing ways of working, testing engagement strategies, tailoring the compelling case for support and working closely with colleagues in the UK and globally.
As Philanthropy Manager, you will:
- Manage and develop a portfolio of c.120–150 donors and prospects, primarily giving at mid-value level (up to c.£5k) with significant headroom for growth
- Build strong, long-term relationships with supporters through tailored cultivation, solicitation and stewardship
- Identify and engage new prospects, developing a sustainable pipeline of future high-value donors
- Develop and deliver individual engagement plans to retain and upgrade donors over time
- Prepare high-quality proposals, reports and communications to support donor engagement
- Support the development of Smile Train’s high-value case for support and fundraising approach in the UK
- Work closely with the Director of UK Fundraising and global colleagues to align activity and maximise opportunities
- Contribute to events, donor visits and wider engagement activity
- Maintain accurate records and support effective pipeline and performance management
Essential skills and experience:
- Experience of relationship fundraising, with exposure to major donors or mid-value giving. Other relationship-driven fundraising experience will be considered, for instance with trusts and foundations or corporate partnerships, where you can evidence income generation via relationship-building with HNWIs or purse-string holders.
- A track record of generating substantial income and securing 5-figure or higher gifts
- Confidence in managing a portfolio and delivering personalised donor engagement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop compelling proposals
- A proactive, organised and hands-on approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Desirable:
- Experience of working within a developing or growing high-value fundraising programme
- Exposure to international development, global health or a similarly mission-led environment
- Knowledge and use of Salesforce CRM
- Experience working within a global or matrix organisation

The Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns team of five works alongside people with lived experience, our campaigners, supporters and volunteers to push for the public policy and legal changes that will help us achieve our vision. We work to achieve system change through our work with the Westminster parliament, UK Government departments, policy makers and service leads, alongside our offices in the nations. We're looking for a Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager to lead this area of work.

What you'll be doing:
You'll lead our public affairs and advocacy campaigns work focused on influencing decision-makers and driving advocacy campaigns.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing our advocacy campaigning activity across England and line managing the Public Affairs and Campaigns Officer, ensuring that our advocacy campaigns are rooted in lived experience, and that our supporters have a positive ongoing experience.
- Leading the implementation of our public affairs and campaign strategies to achieve change on Samaritan’s key influencing priorities
- Identifying, creating, and evaluating opportunities and mechanisms to increase political engagement and persuade decision makers to take positive action on suicide prevention
- Identifying, cultivating and maintaining excellent relationships across the UK parliament and key political decision makers.
- Working across the charity to connect all of our relevant work to Parliamentary audiences, including support for Samaritans branches and volunteers on public affairs activities
- You’ll play a pivotal role in leading our efforts to drive meaningful change to help prevent suicide.

About the role
South West Heritage Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated Fundraising Manager to help strengthen our long-term financial sustainability and grow our charity fundraising activity. The Role
Policy Development Lead
We are looking for a Policy Development Lead to provide strategic leadership, coordination and expertise in proactive policy development across NDCS. This exciting new role will help us think beyond immediate policy activity, identify where system change is needed, and develop longer-term policy positions that are informed by evidence, specialist insight, lived experience and external practice.
The role will initially focus on Education, while retaining the flexibility to support wider policy development across areas such as early years, social care, health, benefits, sign language and other emerging priorities. Working closely with Platform Leads, Policy and Nation Leads, and colleagues across the organisation, you will help ensure NDCS develops strong, evidence-based policy positions that create meaningful change for deaf children and their families.
