We are seeking a motivated and inquisitive Data Analyst to join our Translational Research team.
This role will support the generation, interpretation, and communication of research insights derived from a range of healthcare, clinical, patient-reported, and real-world datasets. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to help transform data into meaningful evidence that informs research, healthcare decision-making, policy development, and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis, Feasibility and Insight Generation
· Analyse healthcare, clinical, patient-reported, registry, and other research datasets to identify statistically significant trends, patterns, and meaningful insights.
· Support the development of evidence and analytical outputs that inform research programmes, strategic priorities, healthcare decision-making, and external collaborations.
· Apply appropriate analytical and statistical methods to answer research and business questions.
· Interpret findings and identify their implications, opportunities, limitations, and areas requiring further investigation.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You will manage the full tender process, from identifying and qualifying opportunities through to submission, review and mobilisation support. Working with senior leaders, service teams, Finance, Data, Marketing and external partners, you will write and coordinate persuasive, compliant bids, develop clear win themes, and turn complex service models and evidence into compelling funder-focused narratives.
We are looking for an experienced bid or tender professional who can help GamCare compete confidently in a statutory commissioning environment, with a strong track record of writing and managing successful public-sector submissions. You will bring excellent writing and editing skills, strong project management, confidence working with internal experts and external partners, and a good understanding of public procurement. About the Role
As our Financial Controller, you'll lead the day-to-day financial operations of the charity, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting and efficient processes that support our mission. You'll oversee month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, providing clear insights to inform decision-making across the organisation. About you
We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA ,CIPFA or similar) with at least five years' post-qualification experience and a proven track record in senior finance or audit roles. You'll be confident leading finance operations, managing staff, and turning complex financial information into clear, actionable insights.
You'll bring experience of charity finance, including grant management, restricted and unrestricted funds, and Charity SORP, alongside strong skills in Xero and Excel. Experience with Fathom and Raiser's Edge (or similar CRM/database systems) would be an advantage.
Just as importantly, you'll be passionate about making a difference for people affected by ataxia. You'll understand the barriers faced by disabled people, approach our members with empathy and respect, and share our commitment to equality, inclusion and ethical medical research.

This is a new role to stabilise, diversify and grow income in a financially constrained environment, reducing reliance on statutory funding, increasing unrestricted income, and strengthening Catalyst Support’s credibility with all sources of non statutory funding, including trusts, foundations, corporates, individuals and communities. In this role, you’ll lead a team of paid colleagues and volunteers, offering clear guidance, encouragement, and development. Using your experience and management skills, you’ll help grow sales while making sure every customer and donor enjoys a welcoming and inclusive shop experience. In this role you will:
• Ensure shop sales performance is maximised, actively seeking ways to improve the shop’s performance on a continuous basis.

About you
We’re looking for someone who has:
