Purpose of post
By instruction and in partnership with the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) the Programme Director will manage and coordinate the operational areas of VFCC based on company policies, goals, and objectives to ensure an efficient working environment and that deadlines are met. The Programme Director prioritise the target/ objectives. We are looking for an experienced Programme Director to supervise a wide range of programs. You will be responsible for the delivery and overall success of each program. You will supervise teams and inform management on progress and performance.
A successful Programme Director must have a broad knowledge of program management principles. They must have a strategic mindset as well as be able to lead and develop their subordinates.
The goal is to ensure every program will be delivered successfully and add the highest possible value to the organization
Key tasks
- The Programme Director will assist senior management in establishing the development of the organisations long-term business Plan.
- The Programme Director will ensure that the strategic aims and planning of departments budgets/objectives are in conjunction and agreed by the CEO.
- The Programme Director will be responsible for monitoring workflow, ensuring optimal productivity, performance, milestones and deadlines are met across the organization.
- The Programme Director will be responsible for managing the performance and objectives for key staff.
The Programme Director will also be responsible for:
- CRM system – lamplight.
- Fundraising – to support the fundraising strategy and monitor and produce reports.
- Assist SMT in setting goals that promote company growth which will support the strategic objectives of the organisation.
- Oversee daily activity of the team.
- Prepare budgets, schedules, and other organisational reports as needed .
- Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine and manage the need for improvements team workloads to meet goals and deadlines.
- Develop plans to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Improve existing systems and policies
- Promote and enforce safety in the workplace
- Work closely with other departments to promote efficient optimisation.
- Execute plans designed to meet company goals by updating/monitoring policies employees and coaching.
- Updating management with detailed and accurate reports/presentations regarding budgets, and bids
- Apply change, risk and resource management principles when needed, read reports prepared by managers to monitor progress.
- Ensure program operations and activities comply to legal guidelines and internal policies.
- Knowledge of child protection/safeguarding policy/procedures and be able to act and make reports as necessary
The VFCC experience:
- To ensure that care experienced children and young people have a positive experience of VFCC.
- To ensure VFCC is a safe and supportive environment for children and young people.
- To ensure young people are signposted to further opportunities to develop their skills and experience.
- To coordinate children and young people’s meaningful involvement/participation with the governance and operations frameworks of the organisation.
Other duties:
- To work within the organisation’s policies and practice guidelines.
- To participate in supervision sessions, staff meetings, managerial meetings, and the team activities.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as may be required by the Chief Executive Officer.
- Deputise with the Influencing Director in the absence of Chief Executive Officer.
- The Programme Director will occasionally be required to work evenings and weekends with the occasional requirement to stay away from home overnight.
Communications and Engagement Lead

About the job

You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the Carers Time Off sitting service, which enables unpaid carers to have a break from their caring role through providing volunteers to sit with the person with care needs.
This service is delivered wholly by volunteers, and you will liaise with carers, carry out assessments for clients and match with volunteers. You will be responsible for the recruitment of and ongoing support for volunteers.
You must drive and have access to own vehicle.

Reducing the Risk of Domestic Abuse Prevention & Training Officer
Background to the post
Reducing the Risk is an Oxfordshire based charity committed to the safety and empowerment of victims of abuse and of those who support them - and to promoting partnership working. The charity acts as a safe, trustworthy, responsive and inclusive resource for victims and their families, through its services in Oxfordshire, and for volunteers and practitioners nationally through its consultancy and training.
In particular it has developed the Reducing the Risk DA Champion Network. This involves: multi agency training, supporting and linking front line practitioners from a range of services so that they can work together to reduce the risk and promote the wellbeing of victims and survivors.
The charity plans to develop its training service as a self-sustaining social enterprise. The Prevention & Training Officer will play a vital role in the development of the charity’s work.
Scope and purpose of the role
The post holder will be a key member of Reducing the Risk’s Training Team.
The post holder will focus on identifying, building and working in partnership with external partners, local stakeholders and communities regionally and nationally to support the entrepreneurial element of Reducing the Risk. They will, together with the Prevention & Training Manager and CEO, carry responsibility for the development of relationships and opportunities. They will expand and deliver Reducing the Risk’s training offers, scale out Reducing the Risk’s Network of DA Champions and support the development of new and existing stakeholder relationships.
They will also be expected both to design and deliver training and to organise and manage elements of Reducing the Risk’s training workload.
Reducing the Risk’s core values are integral to this post: providing advice, consultancy and training solutions which are safe, evaluated, and inclusive and which enable participants to achieve changes in their practice which increase safety and transform the lives of adults and children affected by abuse.
Core Responsibilities
The post holder will:

develop effective partnerships at a local, regional and national level and work with stakeholders to scale out and delivery of the Reducing the Risk Network of Champions

For this we will be delivering playful learning sessions in transitional housing, and will be drawing upon our “Partners in Learning” programme,which uses a Child-to-Child model to engage older children to deliver playful early learning sessions to younger children.
SCOPE OF WORK
The role will be full-time contract role for six months with scope for extension, involving the following:
1. Programme support (60%)
● Supporting the adaptation of our programme content for implementation in UK schools, in
consultation with early years teachers.
● Programme implementation support for Playful Learning and Partners in Learning programmes with refugee and asylum-seeking children.
● Supporting the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning function of the CfC projects, conducting
observations and generating project reports.
2. Local fundraising
● Identifying opportunities and assisting with grant applications.
● Accessing diaspora and local philanthropy by planning events.
3. Administrative support
● Keeping abreast of enquiries email account.
● Supporting with logistics and procurement of materials.
.PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience and knowledge:
● Demonstrable previous experience of working with children and young people in the UK, either
early years or primary school age (can be a non-teaching capacity).
● Relevant academic experience, ideally in social sciences, education, international development or
related field.
● Ability to provide a valid Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) certificate (issued within the last year).
● Excellent written and oral communication skills (English).
● Demonstrably strong research and analytical skills.
