About the role:
At Single Homeless Project (SHP), we believe that everyone deserves a place to call home - and the support to make it truly theirs. As a Caseworker in our Tenancy Sustainment Team, you’ll do so much more than help people keep a roof over their heads. You’ll be part of someone’s journey toward stability, growth, and renewed confidence. Whether welcoming someone at the start of their support journey, walking alongside them as they navigate life’s challenges, or supporting them to move on to greater independence, your work will have a lasting impact.
This is a role that develops you as much as it empowers others. Every day brings new opportunities to build trusting relationships, use your creativity to solve real-world problems, and collaborate with a committed team that is shaping the future of housing support across London. You’ll deliver one-to-one, person-led support that enables people to maintain their tenancies, improve their wellbeing, build financial resilience, and engage fully in their communities. Alongside your clients, you’ll draw on a wide network of Single Homeless Project (SHP) and community services to help turn personal goals into meaningful outcomes.
Join us, and you’ll be part of an ambitious, values-led organisation where you’ll grow your skills, stretch your potential, and see the tangible difference your work makes - every single day. Whether you’re just starting out or ready for your next challenge, this is more than a job - it’s a career with purpose.
Caseworker posts are for Mondays - Fridays, 9am to 5pm. Posts involve hybrid work with opportunities to work from home at times. The role includes hybrid working and is based at our office in Kings Cross. There are opportunities to work from home at times.
About you:
- You’re a confident collaborator who builds strong working relationships with colleagues and partner agencies to get the best outcomes for clients.
- You’re organised, proactive and able to balance competing priorities, staying calm and focused when things get busy.
- You know how to help people build greater independence, from strengthening day-to-day living skills to improving financial stability and tackling income, bills, debts or arrears.
- You take a genuinely person-centred approach, listening to what matters to each client, recognising their strengths and aspirations, and shaping support around their individual needs.
- You understand the challenges people experiencing homelessness can face, including navigating housing pathways, and you’re committed to delivering inclusive, respectful support that promotes choice and opportunity.
About us:
We’re London’s leading homelessness charity – and we get things done.
In a city where hundreds are forced into homelessness every day, our work has never been more needed or more challenging. And we’re not shying away. We’re rolling up our sleeves to make change and helping over 10,000 Londoners every year. We prevent homelessness, provide safe places to live and give people the opportunity to rebuild their lives and transform their futures. And we never give up.
We’re here for Londoners wherever they are on their journey. We start with trust, building relationships that help people feel safe, supported, and ready to move forward. Every day, we put people first in everything we do, challenging injustice and barriers that keep people from the safety, stability and opportunity they deserve. We stand alongside people as they rebuild and shape a future that feels their own.
Joining Single Homeless Project means joining a team that’s bold, compassionate and determined to do better for the people we support and for each other. You’ll work alongside colleagues with lived experience, in a space that’s trans-inclusive, disability-friendly, and actively striving to be anti-oppressive and equitable.
We’re not perfect, but we’re real. We listen. We learn. And we push forward, together. Because this isn’t just a job. It’s a chance to lead with empathy, spark change, and help build a London where no one is left behind.

About us
We are a world-class visitor attraction and leading science research centre. We use the Museum's unique collections and our unrivalled expertise to tackle the biggest challenges facing the world today. We care for more than 80 million objects spanning billions of years and welcome more than five million visitors annually and 16 million visits to our website.
Today the Museum is more relevant and influential than ever. By attracting people from a range of backgrounds to work for us, we can continue to look at the world with fresh eyes and find new ways of doing things.
We employ 1100 staff in a variety of roles, all united by our vision of a future where people and planet thrive. We need everyone to have the passion and drive to help us with our mission to create advocates for our planet and inspire millions to care about the natural world.
This role is specifically working as part of the Distributed System of Scientific Collections UK programme.
UK natural science collections hold more than 140 million items. These are an unrivalled source of data about how the Earth and its natural systems formed over 4.56 billion years, with the potential to support research that addresses some of the critical issues facing the world, including biodiversity and climate change. They contain evidence of the changes in the natural world including the impact of human life on our planet over the past few thousand years. The scientific, commercial, and societal benefits of these collections are currently constrained by the limits of physical access, and by highly fragmented digitisation efforts with less than 10% digitally available.
DiSSCo UK is a consortium of UK natural science collections, led by the Natural History Museum in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), who are developing a national infrastructure to support the digitisation and use of the UK’s natural science collections to support this critical research.
This will take the form of a 10-year programme focused on digitisation of critical mass of collections as FAIR data, made available through a well-supported backbone of technology infrastructure, with continued development and application of innovative approaches such as greater use of Artificial Intelligence and robotics. Investment of the order of £155m over ten years from 2026-27 is expected to unlock at least a four-fold economic return on investment, as well as efficiency savings for UK and global researchers, and the potential for research innovation and studies that have not previously been possible – underpinning a future in which both people and planet thrive.
Diversity and inclusion matter to us.
Our vision is of a future where both people and the planet thrive. Diversity is one of our core values and we strive to build a workplace where everyone feels a sense of belonging. All new staff who join us learn about the importance of diversity and inclusion to the Museum and how to contribute to creating an inclusive environment.
We know we have more to do, but we are committed to ensuring that everyone who works at the Museum feels they can thrive and feel valued and respected.
About the role
The Collection Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring collections are accessible, well-organised, and prepared in advance of digitisation activities. Working closely with digitisation teams, curators, and collection managers, you will help scale up operations for the accessibility and transparency of important scientific collections.
This position is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant programme of work during a key phase of DiSSCo UK’s rollout. We encourage applications from candidates (both internal and external) who fulfil most of the key competencies and are willing to support training and personal development opportunities to fill any knowledge gaps.
This role is based within the Museum’s Digital, Data and Informatics (DDI) Department and reports to the relevant Unit Lead (Entomology or Botany).
This is a fixed term role until 31 March 2028.
About you
Are you passionate about making natural science collections accessible to researchers, policymakers, and the public worldwide? DiSSCo UK is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Collection Assistant to help transform the Natural History Museum’s physical collections into high-quality digital records.
We are looking for a proactive and organised Collection Assistant to support the preparation, care, and movement of natural science collections for digitisation.
We are looking for strong communicators with excellent attention to detail, who can team up with both DiSSCo UK and NHM curatorial teams. You will have a pragmatic approach to problem solving and escalating issues in a timely manner. Above all, you thrive in a team environment, are enthusiastic about collections data and their organisation and place collaboration at the heart of your work.

Make your communications work matter
Are you a creative, confident communicator who wants your work to make a visible difference?
At Healthwatch Greenwich, communications are central to our purpose. The stories we share, the reports we publish and the campaigns we run help make sure residents’ experiences influence the people responsible for local health and social care services.
This is an opportunity to take real ownership of communications within a small, purposeful charity. You will have the freedom to bring forward ideas, shape our content and find compelling ways to reach residents, communities and decision-makers.
One day you might turn a resident’s experience into a powerful story. The next, you could be launching a new report, creating content for a community campaign or finding a better way to engage people online. You will work across a varied portfolio and be able to see the difference your communications make.
You will work closely with a supportive team and with NHS, local authority and community partners. This is our dedicated communications role, so we are looking for someone who enjoys taking initiative, managing their own work and turning ideas and evidence into clear, engaging content.
