Job description

Home-Start Hillingdon is a charity committed to promoting the welfare of local families with at least one child under the age of five and who are experiencing difficulties. 

Our Co-ordinators build strong relationships with our families, working with them to identify their needs, match them to a trained volunteer and regularly review progress. They provide support, supervision and ongoing training to existing volunteers and recruit and train new volunteers. 

Essential requirements:

  • Experience of supporting families in a position of responsibility
  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of children and families
  • Good interpersonal skills and a positive team player
  • Knowledge of safeguarding
  • Ability to support and supervise volunteers
  • A commitment to anti-discriminatory practice
  • Ability to work using own initiative
  • Applicants must have use of their own car, for which expenses will be paid

An appointment will be made subject to satisfactory references and an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check
