Our passionate Regional Casework Coordinators are SSAFA’s front line of support for members of the armed forces community in need. They are the first point of contact for all beneficiaries into the Regional office, assessing needs and allocating the case to one of our volunteer caseworkers.

You will sometimes handle complex problems from individuals who may be distressed, identifying the presenting and potential underlying needs to determine the best way to support the beneficiary. You will have ownership of cases from beginning to end, coordinating the casework process in a timely manner and ensure that the beneficiary journey is at the centre of the Service. You will have the opportunity to shape processes and procedures within the office which will lead to improvements in the service offered to clients.

To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA.

Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the North West region, which include Lancashire, Merseyside, Cumbria, Greater Manchester and Chesire. There will be occasional travel around the North West  and you may be required to travel at short notice for face to face meetings.

About the team

The team work remotely and pride themselves in maintaining a close working bond which ensures the smooth operation of the office. You will work closely with volunteers from the eight SSAFA branches in the North West, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The wider support team includes a Casework Manager and a Regional Operations Support Manager.

About you

To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing welfare advice in key areas such as, housing benefits, debt, disability, mobility or immigration issues. You will have knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR and experience in dealing with sensitive information and people in vulnerable situations. You will be able to provide excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.

It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families and if you have experience of recruiting and supporting volunteers. An understanding of the voluntary sector and preferably the military charity sector landscape across the North West would be valuable.

Purpose of the Job  

The Quality and Service Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the reliability and quality of our systems by carrying out testing activity for enhancements across Salesforce, Dynamics and Business Central. The role supports the smooth delivery of changes by combining structured testing with targeted service support, including triage of incoming issues and resolution of tickets.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• reating test plans based on user requirements with the Service Manager to enable testing to be done by the wider business.
• Create clear documentation regarding test outcomes, learnings from the enhancements and suggestions to improve them moving forward.
• Work proactively with the business to understand key systems and how they work.
• Be an internal point of contact between the business and our external IT provider by assisting in approval, information gathering to ensure smooth service.
• Support the Service Manager to ensure that tickets are managed and resolved within a timely manner.
• Monitor recurring issues and share insights that help improve system quality and inform future enhancements.
• Work with the business and the Service desk manager to understand prioritisation of work and assist in working out return on investment of required work.
• Carry out manual testing on BAU changes and new enhancements in the following systems – Salesforce, Dynamics, PowerBI and Business Central.
• Adhering to team set KPIS on ticket resolutions
• Retrospective reviews regarding test plans, facilitation of testing and manually testing.
• Monthly calls with the service manager to pass on learnings and review process of tickets.

This is a grant funded role, fixed term for two years, with the opportunity for conversion to a permanent role should funding allow.

Main Purpose of the Role:

To provide proactive, emotional, and practical support to families and individuals affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) across Scotland. The role will focus on early engagement, wellbeing assessment, community building, and delivery of workshops and events, while ensuring accurate tracking of support outcomes and data.  
 
The successful candidate will also lead on support for young people living with Duchenne during 2 key transition points (primary to secondary school stage and moving into adulthood). They will work closely with the England-based Transitions Coordinator to deliver a joined-up programme of support across the UK. 

Specific Tasks:

1. Proactive Family Support 

• Initiate contact with newly registered families within agreed timeframes (email within 3 working days, call within 7–10 working days) 

• Contact to be made to all registered Action Duchenne members, knows to us in Scotland, to ensure the current support offer is clear  

• Provide ongoing support tailored to individual needs, including emotional wellbeing, physical health, housing, financial security, self-esteem and respect, decision-making, social engagement, quality of life, and access to care 

• Use the Action Duchenne Assessment Form and Action Plan to identify and respond to areas of concern 

2. Transitions Support 

· Lead transition support across all nations, with a focus on Scotland, for children and young people facing key life changes, including: 

· Moving between educational settings such as primary to secondary 

· Transitioning from paediatric to adult health services 

· Changes in mobility and independence (e.g. transitioning to using powerchairs)

· You will lead, but expected to work collaboratively with the England-based Transition Coordinator to ensure consistency and continuity of support across the UK 

· Develop resources, guidance, and workshops to support families through transitions 

3. Wellbeing Tracking and Outcome Measurement 

· Administer wellbeing questionnaires and record scores across key domains (e.g. physical health, emotional wellbeing, financial security) 

· Collaborate with families to co-create action plans and track progress 

· Ensure all data is entered into CRM (E-Tapestry or similar) within the allotted timeframe, i.e. immediately after or during the call. 

4. Community Engagement and Event Delivery 

· Organise and deliver regional meetups (minimum one per quarter) 

· Facilitate support groups (virtual and in-person) for parents, young people, and extended family 

· Support delivery of workshops and events aligned with programme schedule (e.g. music, life skills, employability) 

5. Stakeholder Collaboration 

· Liaise with external organisations including NHS care advisors and clinics, local authorities, counselling services, and other charities 

· Represent Action Duchenne in Scotland and build relationships with local networks 

6. Administration and Reporting 

· Maintain accurate records of all interactions and support provided 

· Contribute to quarterly reporting on activity delivery, capacity utilisation, and family impact 

· Support development of CRM processes and service delivery improvements 

7. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): 

· New contact acknowledgement email: within 3 working days 

· New contact follow-up call: within 7–10 working days 

· Families contacted per week: 12–15 hours of direct contact 

· Regional meetups: 1 per quarter 

· Support groups delivered: 9–12 per year 

· CRM data entry: within 24 hours of interaction 

· Family outcomes tracked: via wellbeing questionnaire and action plan 

· Transition support delivered: tracked through engagement, resources, and feedback

We are looking for a Mentor Services Coordinator to support our volunteer mentors in the South East of England consisting of Hertfordshire, Surrey, North London and West London.

About the role

Our Mentor Services Coordinators are the main point of contact for volunteer mentors throughout their journey with MCR - from their initial enquiry and onboarding, to ongoing support once they are matched with a young person. They carry out in-depth interviews with prospective mentors, arrange training, and coordinate DBS and reference checks, ensuring the entire process is as smooth and well-supported as possible. 

Key responsibilities:

• Providing excellent customer service to prospective and existing mentors using strong communication skills on the telephone, in virtual meetings, by email and sometimes in person

• Ensure all of our volunteer mentors are individually supported and fully engaged at every stage of their mentor journey

• Manage DBS checks and support the ID verification process

Team: National Cycle Network

As the NCN Portfolio Support Coordinator, you will provide support across the National Cycle Network directorate, helping to maximise efficiency in programme delivery, data management and internal communication. You’ll work closely with the component teams of the NCN Directorate and provide direct portfolio support to the Director, complementing the functions of the Delivery Coordination Office and the Planning, Governance and Assurance Directorate.

As Counselling Coordinator, you will support the smooth and effective delivery of Woman’s Trust’s specialist counselling services for women affected by domestic abuse, with particular responsibility for supporting crisis and short-term therapeutic provision in East London.

You will coordinate referrals, assessments, caseload allocation, liaison with counsellors, and ensure accurate administrative and clinical record systems. You will maintain safeguarding processes, contribute to service development, and work collaboratively with the Counselling Manager, Head of Therapeutic Services, and external partners to ensure high-quality, trauma-informed, woman-centred support.

Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week.

We are recruiting a Van Peer Coordinator to support our Hepatitis C peer project in the Oxford & Thames Valley area. This role involves driving a van across the region and working with people affected by substance use and hepatitis C. 

Peers use their lived experience to raise awareness of hepatitis C, reduce stigma, and help people access testing and treatment. 

About you

• Be confident driving a van and travelling long distances

The project:

We provide one-to-one advocacy and specialist work including workshops and group activities delivered by Advance in partnership with voluntary organisations. This role plays a critical part in coordinating the group offering for women accessing our services, as well as providing administration support across the region.

In short you will:

• Be the first point of contact for clients coming to the Women’s Centre; offering a warm welcome and trauma informed approach

• Ensure the client waiting area is kept tidy with up-to-date information/leaflets and supplies of refreshments

• Facilitate direct group delivery and events at the Women’s Centre and regional venues

• Hold responsibility for the Minerva telephone number and email account in your region

• Assist in researching additional resources and events for service users; both within the Centre and across the region

• Contribute to creating and lead on updating the local Services Directory with details of local organisations, key contacts and details of services on offer, including eligibility criteria

• Assist the Service Manager in managing the smooth running of the Women’s Centre in your region, including managing the group workshops timetable, arranging meetings and booking external venues for client groups or training events

• Manage administration for the Hampshire Minerva team

• Assist the Service Manager with the quality assurance and collation of data and information as required, including for funder reports.

The Reconnection Team

Working alongside the Sub Regional Rough Sleeping Team as part of an evolving pilot scheme the Reconnection Team work with people who are rough sleeping or placed in temporary ‘off the street’ accommodation by Outreach Workers across six London boroughs. Providing information, advocacy and practical, person-centred support they empower clients to take the necessary steps toward resettlement, enabling them to reconnect with their local area and access the services they need to resettle successfully.

The Role

The role involves working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, ensuring the effective delivery of services tailored to each individual’s circumstances. Based at the 999 Club but travelling throughout Southeast London, you’ll work with a dynamic team dedicated to ending homelessness and making a tangible difference in people’s lives

This role is part of a pilot scheme being run by the Southeast London Sub-Regional Rough Sleeping Coordinator and provides the opportunity to work in different settings alongside teams from several other organisations from the third sector as well as voluntary and statutory services.
