We are looking for a passionate and innovative individual to join our dedicated Fundraising Team as a Corporate Fundraising Officer. This is an exciting opportunity at a prominent assistance dog charity for someone who has already worked in fundraising and is ready to take on more or an enthusiastic person with strong transferable skills.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Remote with regular travel; travel is essential to the role to meet with potential and current corporate supporters. Travel requirements will vary throughout the year.
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 (depending on experience)

You will be part of an ambitious team raising vital income and will be supporting the corporate income line through development and account management. The role is key in enhancing our corporate fundraising income by providing more capacity within the team and allowing a greater focus on attracting new corporate donors. You will undertake in depth research into target sectors, identify charity of the year opportunities, support on applications and account manage your own portfolio of corporate partners. A proactive approach is key as you will have the opportunity to be part of building up and growing our corporate fundraising for the future, as we start working on our new 5 year strategy plan.

About you:

• Proven experience of effectively managing relationships with volunteers, supporters, and/or external stakeholders/audiences.
• Excellent written communication with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of audiences.

About You and the Role

The Marketing Manager is responsible for the management and delivery of the organisation’s marketing work spanning advertising, social media, print, content creation, data capture and intelligence gathering, evaluation and reporting.

Working closely with the Head of Digital and Communications and the Design and Communications Officer, this role is instrumental in the delivery of marketing and communications strategies, and plays a role in nurturing relationships with stakeholders, including partners, artists and audiences.

Entry level Health and Safety qualification or working towards this is essential along with up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and experience of carrying out assessments.

• Practical experience of a broad range of facilities work, including Hard and Soft Facilities matters across multiple sites. 

• Management of third parties’ contractors hired to complete facilities tasks, using method statements, risk assessments and a permit to work scheme.

About the role

This role is maternity cover and will be offered on a fixed term contract. 

The role will report directly in to the Town Clerk and be responsible for the Events Officer, contractors and volunteers. You will work closely with other officers including Communications, Public Services, Community, Heritage and Support Officer. 

Crewe Town council has a rich and varied events and culture programme planned and set out  for 2026 which needs oversight while the events and culture manager is on maternity leave. This will require a suitably experienced and qualified individual to ensure delivery is consistent, compliant and maintains the usual standard of quality events and experiences delivered by Crewe Town Council.

In addition, the role will support the organisation in cultivating key philanthropic relationships - particularly with high-net-worth individuals who may give via their trusts or foundations—leveraging the skills, experience, and resources of the Trusts & Foundations team.

Ultimately, this work will enable Home-Start UK to support more families with young children through challenging times.

About the Role
