The Trusts and Grants Officer is responsible for securing and growing income from charitable trusts, foundations and other agreed grant-making bodies to support LOROS’ core services and strategic priorities.

The post holder will develop and manage a high-quality pipeline of trust and foundation prospects, produce compelling and evidence-led funding applications, steward funders through excellent reporting and relationship management, and contribute to the wider philanthropy and major giving programme.

The role plays a key part in maximising voluntary income, strengthening long-term funding relationships, and ensuring LOROS’ work is clearly communicated through impact, outcomes and

insight.

The ideal candidate will be passionate, committed, organised and have excellent written skills, the ability to build a rapport quickly and be self-motivated and able to prioritise their own workload to meet deadlines.

Strategy & Leadership

• Develop tailored partnership proposals, sponsorship packages, and presentations for corporate audiences.
• Represent the organisation within the local and regional business community, including networking events.
• Drive engagement opportunities including employee fundraising, volunteering, and corporate-led initiatives.

This is a hands-on and strategic role for an experienced fundraiser who thrives in a small to medium sized charity environment. You will have autonomy to develop a whole new fundraising strategy, utilise diverse fundraising methods, and build and develop new project ideas and partnerships. You will lead on income generation primarily through sourcing and applying to trusts and foundations, and with the potential to build new corporate partnerships, community campaigns and individual giving. You will build authentic relationships with funders and supporters, and together with VCH colleagues, will identify new programme models as ways to generate income. Post holders need to have excellent communication skills, to represent the charity in writing and in person. If you are successful in securing funding there will be the potential to recruit additional support, and for you to become the Head of Fundraising of a small team.

Our client has been caring for local people since 1984. The team now seek a Senior Trust Fundraising Manager for a 12 to 14 month maternity cover contract and Prospectus is excited to lead the search. The new postholder will need to start in post by the end of July 2026.

This role will provide strategic leadership to the Trust Fundraising Team across revenue and capital fundraising from trusts and foundations. Reporting to the Director of Fundraising and Communications, you will support the delivery of the hospice fundraising strategy by sustaining the healthy and impressive pipeline of trusts fundraising income and will develop tactical pathways to grow trust income from new sources .

The selected candidate will have a demonstrable track record of leading and managing a team responsible for delivering fundraising income and will have excellent experience developing relationships or funding approaches which have led to success. You will have direct experience of raising five and six figure gifts and account managing relationships with supporters of this level.

MCKS Charitable Foundation UK is an ambitious and rapidly growing charity supporting schools and communities across the UK through school pantry programmes, breakfast clubs and wider wellbeing initiatives that help children and families experiencing food insecurity.

About the role
 

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Trusts & Foundations specialist to complete a maternity cover. This role will continue to expand EngineeringUK’s relationships in this field and develop grant-funding as a core income stream for our work. We receive significant funding from grant funders already but are looking to scale this income stream. The Trusts & Foundations Manager (maternity cover) role is part of the Business & Industry team (11 people), who have responsibility for all funding and industry relationships across EngineeringUK. The team works strategically with stakeholders across the engineering, technology and education sectors, to support our mission to increase the number and diversity of young people choosing engineering and technology careers. Opportunities for funding include our bursary programme, in-school programmes such as Climate Schools and Big Bang Programme, supporting our community of Code signatories, and developing new programmes.
 

Prospecting and pipeline management is a key element of this role and once funding is secured, the postholder will account manage the relationship, including regular reporting, delivered in collaboration with programme leads. Therefore, in addition to being able to secure new funding, interest in and experience of delivering excellent account management is essential.
 

Whilst the core focus of the role will be on developing relationships with trusts & foundations and bid writing, there may also be some opportunities to explore key relationships we hold in government, connected to statutory grants and procurement opportunities.

The role is London based at our office at 10 Lower Thames Street, London EC3R 6EN and may involve some travel in the UK. We believe that hybrid working has many benefits and are pleased to offer flexible working with a minimum of 2 days (or 40%) a week in the office and the option for a flexible start and end to the working day in our vibrant central London office overlooking the Thames. The Fundraising Manager – Trusts is responsible for developing trust income. There is a robust pipeline in place, and huge scope to look beyond the pipeline and work with the service delivery teams to identify new funding opportunities. This role will focus on larger funding bids, and exploring the potential for funding for Sight Scotland Veterans. The role supports the organisation’s purpose to make a significant impact on the lives of people living with visual impairment in Scotland by maximising fundraising income to deliver brilliant services and create a positive impact on our ability to deliver for the long term. 

This specialist manager role would suit someone who is already operating at a senior trust fundraiser level, or someone who can demonstrate experience of developing a trust and grants pipeline, creating compelling applications and directly delivering income success.This role will line manage a Trusts Fundraiser (a brand-new post to Sight Scotland), so this could be the ideal opportunity for someone looking to take on people management for the first time.

Role Description

The Head of Income and Engagement is responsible for diversifying and growing Dog Aid Scotland’s fundraising income streams as well as overseeing the charities strategic communications and marketing activity. Reporting directly to the CEO, the postholder will develop and deliver a comprehensive Income and Engagement Strategy that ensures sustainable income growth, deepens supporter engagement and increases awareness of this long-standing charity. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of Income and Engagement Strategies aimed to grow income sustainably and significantly increase awareness of the charity
• Grow income from individual giving, regular giving, fundraising events and legacy giving, whilst looking to develop further income streams such as major donors, trusts and foundations in future.
• Develop strong donor journey that's engaging, from recruitment and stewardship to longer term donor retention.
