Each postholder will lead the development and implementation of a major area of programming, overseeing high quality delivery and ensuring that the work we fund generates robust evidence and insight.
As Head of Programmes, you will manage the work of a cross-functional team delivering a programme of grants, research, evaluation, communications, youth involvement and associated activity. You will provide programme leadership, ensuring that this range of activity is aligned to programme objectives and Youth Futures’ overall strategic aims. You will coordinate programme-related work across the organisation, fostering collaboration in pursuit of a shared purpose.
You will make connections to relevant stakeholders and wider debates, positioning Youth Futures as an organisation at the forefront of thinking and practice in your programme area(s). You will work closely with externally-facing colleagues to feed learning and insight from funded programmes into our policy work, employer engagement and public communications. At the heart of the role is management and oversight of a thematic grants programme, ensuring that funded delivery is of high quality and enables Youth Futures to deepen and build the evidence base of what works in youth employment.

Role Purpose
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Womankind’s Major Donor Strategy to drive sustainable growth of our major donor portfolio.
The small major donor programme at Womankind has been established for several years. The Major Donor Manager will be responsible for new business within the portfolio, inspiring prospects and onboarding new high value relationships with individuals from a variety of different sources. The Major Donor Manager will also steward the relationships with our existing major donors and work with colleagues across Womankind to manage large gifts.
Key responsibilities
Strategic management and planning
- Lead the development and implementation of Womankind’s major donor fundraising strategy to grow both restricted and unrestricted income from existing and new major donors
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of gender and development issues and remain informed on Womankind’s activities ensuring that applications to donors are of a high quality and accurately reflect our organisational strategy
- Develop, manage and monitor budgets and provide internal financial reports, income analysis and forecasting and monthly key performance indicators using Womankind’s fundraising database
- Ensure that major donor income and relationships are accurately reflected in Womankind’s fundraising database at all times and reconcile income with the Finance team
- Participate in cross-organisational initiatives and groups as willing and required
New business
- Identify and research high quality prospects, maintain appropriate prospecting systems and develop cultivation and solicitation plans working with senior staff and trustees
- Increase major donor income by making face-to-face asks personally and by supporting senior staff and trustees to do the same
- Work with fundraising colleagues to maintain a strong case for support in line with Womankind’s strategy, and package up Womankind’s work to inspire major donors to give
- Develop and test tailored opportunities to give including matched giving and emergency appeals
- Lead a wealth screening project to identify new prospects including managing an external agency to deliver this work
- Lead the establishment and development of a Womankind Fundraising Board
Cultivation and Stewardship
- Work with colleagues across Womankind to deliver engaging donor cultivation events (online and in person) to maintain and grow the support of existing donors and inspire new prospects to give
- Develop and deliver an excellent stewardship programme for major donors including face-to-face meetings and reports
- Work strategically with other members of the Fundraising & Marketing team to ensure a coherent approach between major donors, corporate supporters and individual donors.
Mid-Value Programme
- Work with the Individual Giving Manager to develop a plan for a mid-value donor programme
- Use Raiser’s Edge database to identify mid-value donors and prospects
- Cultivate mid-value donors and prospects through appropriate supporter journeys
Person Specification
Essential experience, skills and knowledge
- Experience of developing and implementing major donor strategy to deliver growth in income
- Experience of identifying new prospects and developing relationships to secure income
- Demonstrable track record of raising funds from a range of major donors including securing gifts in excess of £50,000 and meeting income targets
- Experience of soliciting major gifts face to face
- Experience of producing inspiring and engaging copy for a range of donor communications
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the confidence to deal with a range of stakeholders, senior staff and trustees
- Proven ability to form good working relationships and to motivate and coordinate colleagues across the organisation
- Experience of developing and organising donor cultivation events or initiatives
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise, work to deadlines and work on own initiative
- Experience of using databases to prepare management information and proven ability to prepare, maintain and report on income and expenditure budgets.
- Strong and demonstrable understanding of the fundraising arena and of issues and innovations within major gift fundraising.

Reporting Structure
This position reports to: Philanthropy Manager
The post holder will be expected to undertake other responsibilities not outlined above which are commensurate with a role of this nature and which have been discussed and agreed with the line manager.

Schools2030 is a global programme focused on holistic learning and teacher leadership. The Senior Programme Officer for Schools2030 will lead on resource mobilisation for the Schools2030 programme as well as allocation of funding across the programme countries and workstreams. The Senior Programme Officer will coordinate closely with the Schools2030 Partnership and Finance teams and will manage the smooth functioning with the rest of the Schools2030 Global Secretariat. Working closely with the Schools2030 Partnerships Officer, the Senior Programme Officer will support on external reporting, including to Schools2030 consortium of donors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND CORE TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Resource Mobilisation:
- Lead on resource mobilisation and the development of new proposals for the Schools2030 programme to develop narrative content for proposals and proposal budgets. This should all be done in close coordination with the Global Partnerships team, other members of the Global Secretariat, country teams, and finance teams.
- Lead on scoping new funding opportunities for Schools2030, working closely with the Global Partnerships team, and identify and evaluate strategic growth opportunities for the programme
Coordination:
- Manage the smooth functioning of the Schools2030 Partnerships and Finance teams including through leading weekly progress meetings, monitoring deliverables and setting team priorities on a weekly and monthly basis, in coordination with the broader Schools2030 Secretariat.
- Develop annual funding plans (including aligning donor grants to programme workstreams, identifying areas for fundraising) with Global Programme Manager, Finance, Partnerships and Country Units
- Coordinate external technical partnerships, including developing TORs for external technical partners and tracking achievement of deliverables.
- With finance and partnerships, oversee the Schools2030 grant and budget database to ensure alignment between grants, budgets and partner contracts
Donor Reporting
- Support the Schools2030 Partnership Officer on development of external reports and ensuring alignment with financial reports developed by Schools2030 Finance Officers
- Present Schools2030 programme and financial progress at Biannual Donor Meetings (March and October each year), with support of Partnership and Finance Team

Role Purpose
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced project manager to support the Head of United for Wildlife (UfW) as well as the Taskforce Managers in the management and implementation of key projects. - Coordinating activities on a weekly basis, to ensure delivery against the plan: overseeing and tracking key milestones, identifying risks, and ensuring that work remains in line with agreed budgets as relevant.
- Supporting senior management on resource allocation decisions, helping to ensure the team has the right skills and capacity at the right time.
- Identifying risks (both current and potential) and alerting relevant colleagues, also contributing to risk mitigation strategies.
- Supported by the Team Assistant/Project Officer, to ensure the maintenance of an accurate and up to date member database, and to support the Taskforce Managers in recruiting new members.
- Chairing key project update meetings, working with the Head of UfW to develop the agenda and then ensuring actions are captured and disseminated.
- Drafting regular written project updates for the Head of UfW, leadership team, and wider Foundation.
- Contributing to regular (oral) updates to members of the Senior Management Team and, less frequently, Trustees and The Prince of Wales.

- Monitoring work being undertaken by external delivery partners to ensure that it remains aligned with agreed KPIs.

With a fleet of minibuses specially adapted to assist people with mobility equipment or additional mobility needs, People to Places delivers high-quality services aimed at improving social inclusion and accessibility. RSTMH is a charity and membership society for those working or interested in tropical medicine and global health, and currently have almost 1,800 members from more than 90 countries, with a network of more than 10,000 involved with our work in some way. We are looking for an experienced Membership Manager who will help us manage all aspects of our membership programme. This involves maintaining high levels of retention and developing and delivering new recruitment strategies for members across the world.
The role will also focus on developing membership journey programmes to ensure our members receive top quality service from the Society and that all membership processes are undertaken with efficiency, energy and effectiveness.
The Membership Manager will also play a crucial role in ensuring that we are promoting RSTMH, and its membership offer, to our members and supporters. This person would be the first point of contact for our members and so must be professional, a sound communicator and efficient.

About the role:
As Programme Manager for 'Our Business', you will be responsible for managing the ‘Our Business' programme from inception to completion and acting as the primary contact between the organisation and our partners at Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and beyond.
The organisation has been tasked by GMCA to deliver the first phase of the ‘Our Business’ project and that’s where you come in. We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to lead this important and exciting project.
