The Witness Service provides free, independent support to any witness giving evidence in criminal courts in England and Wales — both for the prosecution and the defence.  

Our trained staff and volunteers help people understand what to expect before, during and after a trial, and offer practical and emotional support every step of the way, so witnesses can give their best evidence.   

The Witness Service also supports bereaved family members, and friends and family who are accompanying witnesses in court.

What do we ask of you? 

In order to join us as a Witness Service Volunteer, you must: 

• Be 18 years of age or over. 

• Be able to volunteer for at least 1 day per week, for at least 12 months. 

• Undertake training – this includes virtual training days as well as completing online learning modules. 

• Undertake an Enhanced DBS with Child Barred List check & be part of the DBS Update Service.

• Be able to provide two satisfactory references. 

• Have an active email address that you are comfortable using in order to engage with VS communications.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive, organised, and supportive Volunteer Campaign Support Coordinator to oversee and assist with live prize draw campaigns on the platform.

This role focuses on ensuring creators feel supported throughout their campaign, that key communications are delivered on time, and that each live draw runs as smoothly and successfully as possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and support all live prize draw campaigns on the platform

• Liaise with creators throughout the live campaign period to provide encouragement, guidance, and practical support

• Schedule, diarise, and send campaign communications using approved templates

• Coordinate with internal team members when campaigns go live

• Provide reminders, tips, and prompts to help creators maximise engagement

• Respond to creator enquiries and provide assistance as needed

• Conduct support calls where appropriate

• Maintain accurate records of communications and campaign progress using our CRM management system

• Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner

Skills and Experience Required

Essential:

• Strong customer service experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Confidence using computers and online systems

• Experience using a CRM or similar database system

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently

Although this is currently a volunteer position, Influential Stars is actively working to grow the platform with the long term aim of creating paid roles. As a Practical Support at Home Volunteer, you’ll make a meaningful difference by helping families manage the household tasks that can feel overwhelming during such emotional and exhausting times. 

Your time and care will help bring calm, dignity and relief to families going through the toughest moments of their lives.

• Commitment: Flexible and can be adjusted to accommodate your personal schedule. The support plans designed for referred families are typically structured to span a period of six weeks

• Light household cleaning (dusting, wiping surfaces, hoovering) 

• Tidying, decluttering and organising 

• Laundry support (washing, drying, folding)

Training You Will Receive

Role‑specific and organisation‑wide training will also be provided as needed. 

All volunteers are required to keep their mandatory training up to date to 

continue in their role.

This role provides a telephone listening and support service to bereaved carers’ and family members whose relatives died under the care of The Hospice of St Francis. Last year our Bereavement Support Line volunteers made over 1,000 calls.

We are looking for additional volunteers to support this service.  Do you have strong listening skills?  Are you reflective, self-aware, adaptive with basic IT skills?  We'd love to hear from you. 

The role will be ome based and you will receive full training and ongoing support.

Social Support Volunteer (Mentor)

This role offers one-to-one support to people experiencing issues with housing, healthcare, benefits, and employment. You will support individuals, helping them to access accommodation, secure financial support, improve their health and wellbeing, and develop employability skills.

What will you be doing?

You will support individuals to navigate complex systems such as housing, benefits and healthcare, offering practical help with forms and appointments in a respectful and confidential way. Work closely with partners including SIFA Fireside, Room Match, Tabor House and Street Link, and support people with CVs, job applications and work experience. You will also be involved in community engagement, raising awareness of homelessness and maintaining accurate, confidential records.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills who communicates respectfully and has a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable people. You’ll be organised and able to manage time, records and appointments effectively, while working well as part of a team to provide joined-up support. Patience, emotional intelligence and a solutions-focused mindset are essential. Knowledge of benefits, housing or local support systems is beneficial but not essential.

Autistic Parents UK is seeking dedicated volunteers to join our incredible team. We are a fully user-led registered charity, offering peer support, webinars, training, signposting and resources on lived Autistic parenthood.

We welcome anyone who would like to offer their time alongside us in our aim to support people at whatever stage they are at with their understanding of Autism and being Autistic. We want to proactively address all factors that cause barriers to entry for those involved in the running of APUK and those who access support. By joining Autistic Parents UK as a volunteer, you will be part of a compassionate and diverse community that strives to empower Autistic families.

This role involves supporting small, topic-based video peer support groups for Autistic parents . Volunteers work alongside a lead peer supporter, acting as a second group supporter to help sessions run smoothly and ensure participants feel welcomed, supported, and able to take part.

The role focuses on peer support, shared experience, and gentle co-facilitation, rather than leading or moderating the group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend scheduled video peer support group sessions alongside a lead peer supporter.

• Support the facilitation of group discussions by encouraging participation and helping conversations flow naturally.

• Help create a warm, inclusive, and supportive environment where participants feel safe to share.

• Offer empathetic peer support and appropriate contributions based on lived experience, where relevant.

• Provide light technical support during sessions where needed (for example, helping participants with audio, video, or platform features).

• Support group structure by helping to keep discussions aligned with the session topic and time boundaries.

• Raise any wellbeing, safeguarding, or technical concerns to the lead peer supporter or staff member as appropriate.

What We Are Looking For:

• Good listening and communication skills.

• Confidence using video meeting platforms (such as Zoom/Google Meet or similar), or willingness to learn.

• An interest in supporting Autistic parents .

• Reliability and ability to work collaboratively with a lead peer supporter.

Support and Matching:
You will be supported by a lead peer supporter during sessions, with training, guidance, and ongoing support provided. We aim to match volunteers with group topics that align with their interests and experiences wherever possible. Groups include EHCP's and Working with professionals, Parenting Teens, 0-5's. We are particularly keen to hear from people who would be able to support a group for those who identify as "Dad's and Father's"

This is a flexible, remote volunteering opportunity. Volunteers are asked to attend agreed video sessions, with regular or occasional commitment discussed in advance. Expected time commitment 1-2 hours a month.

Full training and support will be given. Regular oppourtunities for reflection with our Volunteer Coordinator

As our Volunteer Administrator, this is your chance to make a significant difference 'behind the scenes', to the support we offer to Bereaved Siblings around the UK. 

The Administrative Assistant volunteer plays a vital behind the scenes role in supporting the smooth running of the charity.
This role is ideal for someone who is organised, reliable, and happy to support a small, mission-driven organisation with a variety of practical tasks.

Sibling Support is the UKs charity ensuring that Bereaved Siblings are seen, heard and supported through their journey with grief after the death of their brother or sister. We offer a broad range of services across the UK both in person and online. 

You will support with administrative tasks such as:
- Managing event bookings and attendance lists
- Researching information for fundraising, projects, and
  development work
- Helping to keep systems and information organised and up to date
- Providing general administrative support to the charity team as needed.

Your self driven approach to working alongside your eye for detail, will mean that you will help us continue to operate in a smooth, efficient and professional manner. You might already work in Bereavement Support, or bring lived experience with  you of being a Bereaved Sibling.

Whether you're able to carry out your role an hour or a few hours a week, your contribution will be valued. You will be supported by induction training and on the job support. 

Would you like to help tackle loneliness, one conversation at a time?

Loneliness and isolation can have devastating effects on a person’s mental and physical health. We are a registered charity providing a pathway of support to alleviate the hurt and distress, and the impact on mental and physical health, caused by loneliness and social isolation. 

The aim of face-to-face Individual Support is to provide in-person supportive social contact for people who are hurt by loneliness.

Volunteers support Friends (people who use our services) on a one-to-one basis. After completing training, volunteers will be linked with a Friend who they will phone for around one hour every two weeks. This is arranged at a mutually convenient time. 

We ask volunteers to think of this as a longer term volunteer role due to the training and time we take in order to give our volunteers, and Friends, the very best service. You will also need to consider occasional time spent in training for your role and for continuous development. 

For all our roles:

Due to our Safeguarding regulations, unfortunately we are only able to accept applications from UK residents. 

Enhanced DBS checks for working with vulnerable adults (formerly called criminal records bureau checks)  which we will organise (no cost to this) and two references are required.

For any roles involving driving Archway Friends, we will need to see evidence of insurance and driving license as well as MOT and tax documents for the vehicle to be used.

We will happily cover out of pocket expenses (eg mileage or costs for coffee out with Archway Friend).

We provide training relevant to the roles as well as ongoing supervision, guidance and support for all volunteers.

Join our amazing volunteer team to raise awareness of sight loss and RNIB services at local events. You will give talks in person or virtually, sharing your own story to improve understanding of sight loss to local service providers and community groups. You’ll be making a real difference to people living with sight loss by helping to improve accessibility and inclusivity, creating a world without barriers.

What you’ll be doing:
• Giving talks to groups of people to raise awareness of sight loss in your local community by sharing your story to audiences, for example, local businesses, community and voluntary groups.
• Delivering Talks to raise awareness of RNIB services as a trusted source of support for blind and partially sighted people

• Representing RNIB as an Ambassador for the Community Connection service
