Your first project is to plan and deliver a private, curated event connecting ca. 20 high-net-worth donors with female entrepreneurs in Africa. You will manage the event end-to-end, including venue selection, partner liaison, logistics, invitations, guest lists, and design of event materials, ensuring a smooth and professional experience throughout.

- End-to-end bid management experience: A minimum of 4 years' experience leading the whole bid process.
- Preferred qualifications include a degree in Business, Communication, Marketing, Creative Writing, English or equivalent.
- APMP Certification is also desirable.

What will you be doing?

A Good Thing is a not-for-profit set up with one mission: to send less to landfill, and more to a good cause. We're scaling fast right across the UK, with thousands of items being listed by businesses on our site, and are growing a network of passionate volunteers to support us as we grow.
You’ll be using your website management skills (and ideally Squarespace skills) to help us keep the website current, making changes and implementing updates. You’ll be working with other volunteers, plus the A Good Thing team.

Role Summary
The Site Manager role involves overseeing a number of university Islamic Societies or Muslim Student Associations who are interested in partnering with Roots Academy to host the Essentials Onsite Program an in-person transformative educational class tailored to university students on campus. The Site Manager role is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with these ISoc/MSA committees and offering 1:1 support to ensure that they have an excellent educational experience.
Key tasks
- Actively establish and maintain positive relationships with ISoc/MSA committees and Student Ambassadors (ISoc/MSA representative) to ensure an exceptional onsite experience for students, and promote retention of sites.
- Be the point of contact for ISocs/MSAs: answer questions, offer light-touch support and coaching on ways to improve the class, engage on a 1:1 basis listening to their needs and concerns, and addressing these accordingly.
- Liaise with Student Ambassadors to ensure that logistics involved in marketing and running the class are taken care of by the ISoc/MSA.
- Collect ideas and best-practices from how different campuses deliver their class
- Be the internal point of contact for any queries or updates related to ISocs/MSAs assigned.

- Keep up to date with the charity and healthcare sectors, events and news, and suggest content to promote through our social media feeds.
- Support new volunteer Social Media Team members ensuring they understand their role or assign them their role.
- Act responsibly with data held by Burning Nights CRPS Support that you may access as part of your role, adhering to guidelines and policies and reporting any concerns or possible breaches to Burning Nights CRPS Support's Data Protection Officer/Lead.

CAFOD Advisor Recruitment - Strategy Performance Committee (SPC)
Role
Committee member, providing expert fundraising expertise to this Committee of the Board, alongside Trustees and other expert advisors. The SPC exercises governance activities on behalf of the Board and provides recommendations to the Board. The remit of the SPC covers CAFOD’s strategy to recruit and engage donors and supporters, and its global programmatic work, so covers both CAFOD’s international activities as well as the work within the Catholic Community in England and Wales.
Essential Criteria

Trustee vacancies. Our trustees play a vital role in making sure that the charity achieves its core objects as set out in the governing documents. They oversee the overall management, finances and administration of Dove Cottage and ensure that the charity is successfully implementing a clear strategy in line with our vision. Working hours/commitment
All trustees are required to:
· Attend at least four board meetings each year, although trustees may together decide to change the frequency of meetings.
· Attend the charity’s Annual General Meeting and any extraordinary general meetings should these be required.
Meetings will usually be held in person at the hospice in Stathern. There will be times when trustees need to be actively involved beyond board meetings. This may involve visiting the hospice, tea room and shops, helping out at events, scrutinising papers, leading discussions, providing advice and guidance on new initiatives, responding to complaints and concerns, and getting involved in various matters about which they have a special expertise.
