Providing safeguarding training to all Place2Be staff and volunteers, across our regional and head office teams. While also providing advice, support, and guidance to Place2Be school-based staff around matters relating to child protection and safeguarding cases.

You'll have experience providing safeguarding and child protection advice and support to professionals working with children, young people and families with thorough knowledge of current legislation, guidance and thresholds on child protection. You'll have experience of delivering training and/or seminars to multi-agency groups.

You're able to occasionally work non - standard hours and to travel throughout the UK to provide training to our services and teams.

About the Role 

As Individual Giving Officer (Retention), you’ll sit at the heart of how Help for Heroes builds long-term, sustainable income. You’ll lead the delivery of multi-channel retention campaigns and fundraising appeals that strengthen supporter relationships, increase lifetime value and ensure our supporters feel valued, informed and inspired to continue their support. 

You’ll own retention activity across cash giving, lottery and regular giving - shaping campaigns from idea through to delivery, optimisation and evaluation. Using insight and performance data to continually refine supporter journeys, test new approaches and ensure every communication adds value to the supporter experience. 

You’ll lead on the delivery of direct mail appeals, following the process through from concept ideation to data briefing, from sourcing impactful content, managing the print process, to the final appeal landing with supporters. Importantly, the appeals will be across a variety of channels in addition to direct mail, and you’ll be at the forefront of leading post campaign reviews. 

Working closely with the Individual Giving Officer (Acquisition), you’ll help create a seamless journey from first gift to long-term loyalty.

The role and its impact

This is a part-time CEO role providing hands-on leadership so CCE can deliver projects well, support volunteers, and build strong partnerships. Working with the Board, you will help move projects from early-stage development through to installation and reporting.

Cardiomyopathy UK is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by cardiomyopathy. We provide clinical information, emotional support, and work to influence policy and practice so that everyone affected by cardiomyopathy receives timely diagnosis, high-quality care, and support.

Our established Change Maker volunteer network brings together people with lived experience of cardiomyopathy who share their stories and the expertise it provides to advocate for meaningful policy and practice change. Change Makers contribute in a range of ways, from running awareness raising activities and supporting social media campaigns to engaging with MPs. Their work helps drive improvements in care pathways, raise public understanding of cardiomyopathy and provide valuable input into Cardiomyopathy UK’s policy development.

As the network enters its next phase, we are seeking a skilled and passionate Freelance Senior Advocacy Officer to help take it forward.

Role Purpose

The Freelance Senior Advocacy Officer will lead the growth and development of our Change Maker network, ensuring volunteers are supported, empowered, and equipped to influence change at local, regional, and national levels. In this role, you will work closely with the Policy Manager to design and implement a strategic plan for the network, and provide the training, tools and resources our volunteers need to advocate effectively. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in advocacy, campaigns or volunteer engagement, along with strong project management skills.

As a 0.4 FTE freelance role, responsibilities will be phased and prioritised over the course of the contract.

We are looking for a committed and detail oriented Information and Operations Officer to help keep our mission‑led organisation running smoothly. In this role, you will be supporting the day‑to‑day operations, manage key information systems, support training and HR administation, and contribute to research that strengthens our fundraising function. You will work across the organsation supporting our staff, service users and partners. 

Who we are - Hibiscus is a feminist, anti-racist and intersectional women’s organisation that has delivered high-impact advocacy and advice services to Black and minoritised migrant women in contact with the Criminal Justice and Immigration systems for nearly 40 years. Hibiscus centres the lived experiences of women and continuously supports them to rebuild their lives through rights-based and justice-inspired responses.

What we do -Hibiscus delivers women-centred trauma informed support through an array of services including community-based provision which also address the needs of women leaving the prison and detention regimes.

The Key tasks of the role will be be as follows 

Summary of Key Main Tasks

• Maintain smooth day‑to‑day office operations, including supplies, equipment, facilities, enquiries and visitor/Service user support.
• Manage organisational information systems, records, filing, databases and GDPR Compliance. 
• Provide administrative support across HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding and DBS checks.
• Coordinate training activities and maintain accurate learning and development records for the entire organsation. 
• Support research and fundraising tasks, including gathering information, maintaining pipelines and assisting with donor engagement for the CEO/SLT
• Contribute to improving operational systems and ensuring compliance with organisational policies, data protection and health and safety.
• Ensure you have a high level of understanding around confidentialitiy and data protection, handling sensitive informaiton appropriately at all times 
• You will also be the key contact for the managing office relationships ensuring staff,service users are supported on a daily basis.
