The Woodland Trust is looking for a Communications and Engagement Manager in our South East England team, to lead the regional Communications and Engagement team and programme 

The Role: 
•    Develop a regional communications and engagement plan that identifies opportunities aimed at generating new supporters for the Trust - raising our profile, creating opportunities to raise additional income and delivering high quality engagement and volunteering.
•    Oversee delivery of the regional communications and engagement plan and ensure that related communications, engagement, visitor experience and volunteering opportunities are planned and resourced. 
•    Manage a small regional team of communications, engagement and volunteering officers
•    Liaise and regularly work cross departmentally, to ensure communication plans reflect and support the national communications agenda. In particular, strengthen links with centrally based communications and volunteering teams, fundraising teams and conservation and focus area work.
•    Act as communications lead on all funded projects and partnership work
•    Plan, manage and report on a regional communications and engagement budget, as well as working closely with the Regional Director to support the regional budgeting process. This will include responsibility of monitoring spend and cost control.
•    Be the principal point of contact for communications, engagement and volunteering between the country and national teams; sharing best practice and acting as a conduit for internal communications.
•    Foster effective relationships internally and externally to engage and inspire a range of audiences and individuals
•    This role covers the South East of England including Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Bucks, Berks and Oxfordshire. It requires regular travel around South East England and UK. A full clean UK driving licence is required.

An opportunity as arisen for an experienced marketing professional to join our team at Halton Haven Hospice.

The Hospice is looking to recruit a Marketing and Communications Manager to lead on developing our marketing strategy and to actively engage in running marketing campaigns both internally and externally at the hospice. The Finance Assistant will support the Senior Finance Manager and Finance and Operations Director. They will be responsible for all aspects of sale, purchase and nominal ledger, credit control, payments and various reconciliations. General management account duties will also be required

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the shared inbox and respond to queries to internal and external contacts in a timely and courteous manner.
• Log purchase invoices into the finance system and request authorisation from budget holders, ensuring that documentation is complete and correct.
• Issue all sales invoices and maintain funders invoicing schedule.
• Request and reconcile supplier statements.
• Ensure finance policies are followed for the set-up of new customers and suppliers.
• Support internal team with expense reimbursements, including maintaining the expenses software and relevant reconciliations. Follow up on missing documentation or evidence of non-compliance.
• Prepare weekly payment runs and issue remittance advices.
• Issue statements to customers and regular credit control activities.

Overview / purpose of the role

We’re looking for a Finance & Operations Officer who is interested in developing a career in bookkeeping and/or accountancy within the nonprofit sector. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of experience in a finance or operations role who is looking to build on that foundation and grow their skills in a mission-driven organisation.

You don’t need to have specific qualifications in finance or accounting - what matters most is a strong interest in charity finance, excellent attention to detail, and motivation to grow professionally. You may have worked in a junior finance, administrative, or operations role, and are now ready to take on broader responsibilities and deepen your expertise.

The Finance & Operations Officer is a central resource within CGP, working with colleagues in the Operations Team, and across the organisation to provide financial and operational support to all areas of our work. They will work closely with the Head of Operations & Evaluation to process invoices, expenses and conduct weekly payment runs, ensuring that all financial policies and procedures are carefully adhered to. They will also support colleagues to follow our financial policies and processes and act as the first point of contact for any questions on these procedures. Responsibilities

Finance

• Managing our accounts payable inbox, monitoring all incoming invoices and following up with team members on any missing information if required

• Processing and coding invoices  in Xero accounting software ahead of weekly payment runs

• Checking that correct coding and approval procedures are followed for staff expenses

• Conducting weekly payment runs via our online banking system

• Coordinating our monthly payroll processes (working with external providers)

• Working with the Head of Operations & Evaluation and Director of Finance to support the development of funding proposals

• Working with the Head of Operations & Evaluation and Director of Finance to support financial reporting on grants for external donors

• Supporting the Head of Operations & Evaluation and Director of Finance with general financial administration, record keeping and tracking budgets

Person specification

The right candidate will bring some prior experience in a relevant role, alongside enthusiasm for nonprofit finance and operations. They will have an aptitude for maths and finance,  excellent attention to detail and a meticulous, methodical approach to work and troubleshooting.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has 1–2 years of experience in a finance, bookkeeping, administrative, or operations role

• Is interested in building a career in nonprofit finance and is open to pursuing further financial training

• Is broadly supportive of UK Aid 

• Is an independent worker, self-starter who can take responsibility for projects through to completion

Ashinaga UK is seeking a driven, proactive and detailed-oriented Operations Manager to join our team. This part-time role (4 days per week) is an excellent opportunity for a professional who thrives in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. The Operations Manager will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of Ashinaga UK, supporting internal administrative, financial, compliance, student recruitment and programming functions as we aim to empower future Young Leaders for Africa through the Ashinaga Africa Initiative (AAI). We are Chance to Shine: a children’s charity dedicated to harnessing the power of cricket to transform the life prospects of young people in the UK.

It is our mission that all young people have the opportunity to play, learn and develop through cricket. We want them to learn a love of the game and to find a sense of belonging through the sport, developing their wider wellbeing and life skills to help fulfil their potential.

2. Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a full time (37.5hrs per week) Executive and Office Assistant to support the Finance and Resources team at Chance to Shine. The Finance and Resources team provide day to day support to all departments in the charity and trading subsidiary, Chance to Shine Enterprises Ltd, around finance, office, governance, HR and general administration. The role is expected to be largely in person in our central London office.

3. Key Responsibilities

The Executive and Office Assistant’s responsibilities are in three areas:

Office Administration:

· Act as ‘front of house’ for visitors and guests and be first point of contact for telephone enquiries and ensure the office space is fully operational.

· Monitor the charity inbox and respond to general enquiries.

· Oversee and monitor the Office and Administration budget.

· Liaise with the office landlord, regarding the general office space, car-parking, meeting rooms and staff access. 

· Help manage offsite storage space.

· Administer IT support processes, first point of contact for IT support issues and managing IT supplier contracts; and administering staff IT requirements.

· Maintain up to date shared document area on sharepoint.

· Act as Health and Safety Officer responsible for all Health and Safety matters, and attend training as necessary.

Executive Support

· Support the CEO and Senior Management Team (SMT) on organising and following up internal meetings, Board meetings and company wide initiatives.

· Provide governance support to the CEO, Director of Finance and Resources and Trustees.

· Take the minutes/key actions of Board and Committee meetings.

· Support on the onboarding and induction of new Trustees.

· Maintain Trustees’ register of interest.

· Deliver ad hoc administrative support for the CEO and Finance & Resources Department.

· Ad hoc support at Chance to Shine events, such as fundraisers, media events and competitions.

HR Support

· Administrative support to the HR Manager for HR processes, including drafting letters, maintaining employee records and recruitment processes.

· Support the induction of new employees to CTS.

· Support the HR Manager with administering staff benefits, organisational training and annual appraisal process.

Job Summary

You’ll oversee the delivery of timely, accurate management accounts and play a key role in providing high-quality financial reporting to our Trustees and Finance Committee. You'll also take the lead on our statutory audited accounts, acting as the principal contact for both internal and external auditors.

With additional responsibility for cashflow forecasting, treasury management, tax compliance, VAT, and gift aid, this role ensures St John maintains robust financial governance. About You

• Educated to degree level with a full professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Significant post-qualification experience (PQE) in senior financial accounting roles, with strong technical expertise.
• Proven track record in producing annual statutory accounts and successfully managing external audit processes.
• Extensive experience leading and developing large finance teams within complex organisations, driving performance and accountability.
• Skilled in preparing management accounts, income and expenditure reports, and cash flow forecasts to support strategic decision-making.

About the Role

• Lead statutory and management reporting: Oversee the production of audited statutory financial statements and timely completion of the external audit. Ensure best practice in external financial reporting and take full responsibility for the accuracy and delivery of monthly management accounts.
• Own cash flow and balance sheet management: Lead the preparation of the charity’s monthly rolling cash flow forecast and ensure full ownership of the balance sheet, including timely and accurate reconciliations.
• Strengthen financial controls and working capital: Ensure effective financial processes and controls within transactional teams to manage working capital and drive continuous improvement in financial operations.
• Oversee compliance and tax: Identify, manage and control financial risks, including tax compliance. Provide expert technical accounting advice and ensure the charity remains fully compliant in all taxation matters, including VAT and gift aid.
• Drive counter fraud and governance improvements: Act as the financial lead for the charity’s control environment and counter fraud framework. Champion improvements in fraud awareness, culture, and control.
• Manage key external relationships: Serve as the main contact for the charity’s bankers and investment managers, and act as secretary to the Finance Committee and Investment Advisory Group.
• Optimise treasury and investment performance: Lead treasury activities to maximise returns on working capital and investments, ensuring alignment with the charity’s strategic objectives.
• Develop team and performance culture: Foster a high-performing finance team through regular 1-1s, development reviews, and team meetings. Embed a strong performance management culture in line with St John Ambulance policies.

Main Responsibilities:

• To work closely with MHR, HR Team and consultants to ensure that tasks are scheduled and completed to meet project timelines.
• To co-ordinate work with HR and Payroll colleagues to ensure all relevant payroll processes are captured, reviewed, and, where necessary or appropriate, changed to ensure they are fit for purpose with the new system.
• To be responsible and manage the configuration of the new modules, working with HR and Payroll colleagues, MHR and other consultants to ensure that it is configured to Family Action’s requirements and that the rationale and effects of our chosen configuration is clearly documented.
• To work alongside the HR Systems and Operation Managers to ensure that the HR and Payroll teams are trained and supported in the effective use of the system as pertains to their roles.
• To be responsible and manage user testing of the new system and any parallel runs as part of the implementation process.
• To act as the Payroll System Administrator for iTrent, taking the lead on technical functionality and expertise and liaising with MHR as required for technical solutions.
• To support the Payroll team with other ad hoc duties, as may be required for running an effective and efficient payroll system.

• CIPP qualified or significant experience working in Payroll in a Payroll  Manager or payroll system development and implementation role
• Significant experience using and administrating itrent payroll systems, including liaison with system providers.

Operation Christmas Child UK (OCC) has implemented a strategic volunteer ministry, investing in teams of volunteers who will multiply themselves and hugely extend the reach of OCC’s mission.

OCC is the world’s largest shoebox appeal where Samaritan’s Purse, together with local churches here and overseas, distributes from the UK 1/4 million gift-filled shoeboxes annually to children in need overseas and in so doing demonstrates God’s love in a tangible way while sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

A resourceful and energetic Regional Manager is needed to recruit, select, equip, and lead teams of volunteers throughout the 32 London boroughs.

You will be passionate about developing others towards highly effective ministry, teamwork and increased personal competency.

You will also directly engage churches to participate in OCC in areas not yet covered by Connect volunteers. A special opportunity will be engaging London churches that have partnered with our sister ministry, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association for the June 2025 God Loves You Tour London.

You will be confident to take initiative with people and projects and also have good administrative and organisational skills. You will also enjoy envisioning the numerous volunteers who participate in the OCC shoebox appeal each year.
