The Role:
As the Play & Youth Work Lead, you'll be at the heart of our children and youth services — designing and leading a dynamic, inclusive programme that supports the wellbeing, development, and empowerment of local young people and their families.

Key Responsibilities

About the Role

Role - Zero Hours Children's Resource Worker

About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and oversee the strategic delivery of Care4Calais’ operational (direct aid provision) work across all regions. Background (Summary)

Overview
The project aims to enable youth with disabilities (especially young women) in Uganda through Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) to influence development processes to promote equitable access to finance, skills and markets and greater alignment with the green agenda.
It will achieve this by supporting the development of existing Mirco, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) owned by youth with disabilities to directly employ youth with disabilities (job seekers). It will provide the MSMEs with access to skills, finance and markets, and the job seekers with access to skills training including apprenticeships and employability skills.
Purpose of the evaluation
The end term evaluation (ETE) will assess the performance of the project and garner specific learnings that can be taken forward in future programme design and implementation. The evaluation should address the evaluation criteria questions in the Terms of Reference, including the effectiveness and replicability of the model piloted in this project and recommendations pertaining to scalability and sustainability.
This evaluation will employ a collaborative and participatory approach ensuring engagement with a wide range of relevant stakeholders. Mixed methods of data collection and analysis will be determined in collaboration with the appointed consultant/consultancy.
The evaluation will be contracted to an external independent consultant or consultancy company. Regional/global teams will be considered but it will be beneficial if the lead consultant and/or team members are based in Uganda. - Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English. Fluency in relevant local languages in Uganda (Luo) is also highly desirable.

Progress to Change is a Leeds-based charity that operates two Independent Approved Premises (IAPs): Ripon House, a 22-bed facility for women, and Cardigan House, a 26-bed facility for men. The charity's mission is to assist and rehabilitate some of the most vulnerable members of society focusing on providing structured support and purposeful activities aimed at resettlement within the community. The Lead Practitioner will play a key role in supporting the Approved Premises (AP) Managers in the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and rehabilitation opportunities for residents.
