FareShare is the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 18 independent organisations. Together, we take good quality surplus food from right across the food industry and get it to nearly 8,500 frontline charities and community groups.

The role

This role will identify, develop and manage top food partners relationships and strengthen existing business relationships with companies in the food industry, generating value for the partner and to secure growing and sustainable volumes of surplus food for the FareShare Network.

For designated top food partners, you will be their day to day point of contact with regular face to face contact at all levels. You will undertake structured, strategic account management, leading and coordinating FareShare’s engagement across our organisation. This will mean agreeing and executing a bespoke joint business plan with each account to get more food, money and strategic support. You will also feedback on ways that we can better support our accounts and improve our services to them.

You will work directly and be on-site with top food partners to help identify and overcome the barriers which exist to giving surplus food to people in need as well as increasing money and strategic resource.

You will also be required to work closely with FareShare colleagues within FareShare and across the UK in our partner organisations in order to identify and understand opportunities for creating mutual and shared value.

Main areas of responsibility

Partnership Management

• Contribute to the development of consistent, structured Joint Business plans with designated accounts that take into account food, funding and other strategic initiatives to drive growth in food, money and other strategic resources.
• Work on behalf of the account to develop and embed services relevant to the account and
• agreed through the joint business plan – e.g. employability or store level redistribution.
• Execute joint business plans and report internally and externally on progress.
• Research and understand your accounts, including key ESG initiatives, waste streams, key personnel within the organisation that will help drive its success and engage the relevant internal departments through both desked based research and face to face contact.
• Proactively drive account forwards and progress these relationships with regular on-site visits and linking FareShare exec with key contacts.
• Keep up to date with industry and charity insights and ensure this is reflected back strategically across ways of working and account management

Project and Initiative Management

• Be responsible for managing and communicating key projects and initiatives to increase food volumes and strategic value, securing support from a range of stakeholders within food partners and across the FareShare network.
• Work closely with Supply Chain and Logistics, Operations and Network Development teams with the aim of optimising food out to our network
• Develop and lead FareShare cross-departmental strategic activity to enable us to derive maximum value from key food partners including liaising with fundraising, marketing and volunteering teams

IAG Delivery and line management

· To be accountable for achieving agreed outcomes, outputs and personal targets – including recruitment, employability training and learner progression targets

About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Events Manager to lead on Media Trust’s 2024 calendar of fundraising and industry-facing events, including our upcoming 30th Birthday Fundraising Gala and support with other programme-related events.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable expertise in delivering successful fundraising and other events, working across multiple projects, and finding new and innovative ways to engage corporate supporters in fundraising events and campaigns. 

You will be part of the Volunteering & Events Management team and will manage a range of in person and virtual events, from fundraising events to corporate partner cultivation drinks, industry roundtables and large-scale volunteering initiatives. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver impactful high-quality events and ensure that all our events deliver against set targets.

This role would suit someone with a good understanding and experience of the UK charity sector and a passion for equalities and inclusion. We are looking for a strong candidate to take Media Trust’s event activity and fundraising to the next level to enable us to support more charities and underrepresented talent and engage more media and creative industry professionals in our work. 

Key responsibilities  

Events Management 

• Manage end-to-end delivery of Media Trust events, campaigns and projects of varying size, format and complexity, both in person and virtually

• Lead on the development and running of Media Trust’s 30th Birthday celebratory events, including but not limited to our Fundraising Gala, ensuring the fundraising target is hit or exceeded 

• Support the Programmes team and Media Trust Films team on delivery of events when necessary, including, but not limited to, Charity Challenge Days and Film Screenings 

• Provide a high standard of support to key stakeholders throughout the planning, execution and evaluation of each event 

• Develop and implement consistent processes, procedures and documentation for all events across Media Trust, including event timelines, agendas, speaker and staff briefs 

• Develop fundraising and sponsorship proposals to fund core events across Media Trust  

• Manage event budgets ensuring they are run cost effectively

• Maximise the profitability (where appropriate), sustainability and quality of all events 

• Act as first point of contact for stakeholders including corporate partners, venues, caterers, speakers, attendees, Media Trust staff and Trustees 

• Research and suggest relevant key speakers and work with all Media Trust teams to finalise speakers for events

What we are looking for in you 

Essential 

• Experience of end-to-end event management, including the planning of fundraising events, and delivering high-impact results in a professional or charitable organisation

• Experience of organising both online and in person events

• Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage and prioritise across multiple events, work with multiple teams and meet deadlines 

• Experience of working with Corporate Partners and managing stakeholder relationships at both a strategic and project level 

• Outstanding communication skills and ability to adapt tone and approach for different stakeholders 

• Strong leadership skills to effectively manage external stakeholders and suppliers, paid and unpaid, ensuring high quality of work and events run smoothly

Katherine Low Settlement has worked with older people since its conception in 1924.They are a core part of the community that we continue to work with. Our services include an Older People's Lunch Club, Contact Club, T’ai Chi for Elders, exercise and social sessions, and support online.

Key Objectives for the Elders Core Service Manager Role:

1. Team Leadership: Lead a team of dedicated part-time paid staff and volunteers, including a cook, support worker, minibus driver, and sessional workers.
2. Day-to-Day Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Elders Core Service, including the lunch club, transport, social sessions, and overseeing the one-to-one work of the core team.

• Communication: Oversee communication for the Core Programme, including newsletters, activities calendar, annual reports, and social media platforms.

Pause works with women who have experienced – or are at risk of – repeated pregnancies that result in children needing to be removed from their care. The programme gives women the chance to pause and take control over their lives, breaking a destructive cycle that causes both them and their children deep trauma. We are now working with more women who have experienced multiple removals than anyone else in the country.

The Pause Practice Lead will manage one of our largest teams – six Pause Practitioners and one Coordinator. The Practice Lead will ensure effective delivery of the Pause programme – they will work alongside their team, bringing a wealth of direct practice experience of complex work to maximise the team’s potential. 

The Practice Lead will provide high levels of supervision and leadership to team members from a variety of disciplines, as well ensuring fidelity and integrity to the model. They will typically have significant experience in both operational and project management, with an ability to manage complex data and demonstrate impact. Key responsibilities

• Effectively lead and coach the Pause Practice to achieve positive outcomes for women - setting vision, targets and priorities;
• Ensure fidelity and integrity to the model through delivery of the Pause Framework elements, for example, assertive outreach with women and ensuring the most effective form of long-acting reversible contraception is in place;

Role purpose

The MEAL Coordinator will travel with the emergency response team to deliver emergency shelter responses, to enhance programme quality and embed a culture of organisational learning and accountability. Sitting within the Programme Quality team, the MEAL Coordinator will play a significant role to strengthen participant voice and accountability, enable data driven decision making and help to identify best practice and innovative shelter solutions allowing people to recover and rebuild their lives.

The MEAL Coordinator will lead/support key processes that enhance programme/project delivery. They liaise with programme managers/emergency coordinators and partner organisations to provide technical support and ensure programmes/projects adhere to agreed processes, namely needs assessments, log frame development, robust and transparent community feedback mechanisms and the development of the MEAL plan. They will also provide technical input on data collection exercises, data analysis for routine monitoring exercises as well as designing/coordinating review /evaluation processes. 

The MEAL Coordinator will play an important role in promoting organisational learning and embedding a culture of reflection, analysis, and learning. Working together with Programme Managers & Emergency field coordinators, they will ensure learning frameworks are in place so that lessons are learned (both positive and negative) are captured, responded to, and shared with peers. They will work closely with the Programme Delivery Team and Technical Specialists to identify and/or support the establishment of Action Research projects that will contribute to improvements and innovations within the shelter sector. 

There is significant travel with this role (up to 50% FTE), and the post holder must be prepared to travel at short notice for up to two months at a time. The MEAL Coordinators may also be asked to contribute to the development of organisational policy papers on mainstreaming or technical areas such as cash programming.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

Project Support (70% FTE):

The MEAL coordinator is a core member of the project team and will work closely with the project lead to ensure project quality and accountability. They will lead processes or liaise with partners (depending on implementation model) to ensure ShelterBox standards are adhered to. Specifically, they will:

• Advise/Carry out needs assessments to inform project design
• Facilitate technical MEAL component of Organizational Capacity Assessments and support with the development of capacity strengthening plans for potential partners
• As relevant, support the delivery of Capacity Building Action Plans, through the development of appropriate resources/ providing in-person and remote training /mentoring on MEAL concepts and practice.  This will also involve reviewing training courses/modules, developing resources, and providing training.

• Ensure robust MEAL plans are in place, and that SADD distribution data is robust

• Provide technical input/Lead data collection exercises (both quantitative and qualitative)
• Liaise with partners and implementing teams to ensure the MEAL Plans are operationalized and that the data/reports provided by partners are robust, verifiable and with the appropriate degree of objectivity.

• Support data analysis and the facilitation of learning and reflection based on findings that result in data-led decision making
• Coordinate/Facilitate/carry out end of project evaluation processes in line with DAC criteria.
• Ensure all projects/programmes are contributing to organisational KPI reporting. Develop and populate Information Management systems as appropriate.
• Liaise with the Grant Management team to ensure that all projects MEAL systems and processes are in line with donor requirements, and support programme managers to submit quality narrative reports in a timely fashion.

Knowledge creation and sharing (20% FTE):

• Ensure that each Project logframe, MEAL plan and Learning and Accountability Framework are up-to-date and facilitate continuous and conscious reflection and learning. 
• Utilising M&E data, evaluation findings and wider sector understanding, develop thematic discussions to strengthen understanding within ShelterBox and in relevant Communities of Practice. 

Infrastructure development (10% FTE):

• Contribute to the development of policies, SOPs and processes that strengthen project delivery and accountability.
• Ensure ShelterBox is abreast of new technological developments supporting information gathering and analysis, particularly methodologies that empower affected populations to communicate with ShelterBox and to share their insights enhancing participation.

Working Requirements: This role will support the design and implementation of rapid response emergency project that will demand prolonged travel (up to two months) at very short notice. For remote workers: travel to Truro HQ for collaboration weeks approx. 3 times a year, and additional meetings as requested.

About the role

The London Library is looking for an Acquisitions and Discovery Assistant to assist in the acquisition and management of Library E-resources and print resources.

The role includes supporting the successful acquisition and seamless delivery of electronic resources to library users, utilising and maintaining relevant library systems and records; assisting purchasing decisions and supporting licensing, ordering and payment processes; verifying access, liaising with suppliers & Library IT, and ensuring correct metadata is presented to users; plus monitoring resource use and collecting data for the evaluation of subscriptions. What we are looking for in our Project Manager: 

Essential: 

• Substantial (5+ years) proven experience in project planning and execution, monitoring and reporting, and achievement of objectives. 

• Experience managing large (£50k+) and complex (e.g. cross-cutting multiple teams/functions) budgets. 

• Ability to work at pace and deliver to deadlines, prioritising work depending on organisational need.

• Ability to interpret top-line briefs and turn these into practical action.

• Ability to identify and manage project-based risks and issues, identify key decision points and define options for decision-makers. 

• Ability to work on own initiative to meet objectives in a complex, changing environment 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation and presenting to a wide range of audiences 

• Knowledge of a variety of project management principles and frameworks. 

• Commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and equal opportunities. 

• Willingness to travel across the UK on occasion, as required by the job role 

• A basic understanding of the experiences and needs of women and children affected by gender-based violence. 

• An understanding of the role and work of Women’s Aid, and commitment to its values. 

Desirable: 

• Project management qualification.

• Cross-organisational matrix programme management.

• Project management work in a similar not for profit setting.
