This is a rare opportunity for a dynamic, compassionate and person-centred Nurse Leader to deliver real impact for children and families.
In Scotland, three children die from a life-shortening condition every week. CHAS provides unwavering care for children who may die young, and their families. Our team includes Nurses, Doctors, AHPs, Social Workers and Family Support Specialists. They work across two children’s hospices, in community settings and in hospitals in deep partnership with NHS staff.
We are seeking a Chief Nurse to lead the delivery of our nursing services across all these settings. Reporting to the Director of Nursing and Family Support, you will lead a team of approximately 180 nursing staff working in all parts of Scotland.
You will inspire Nurses to deliver exceptional care every day. You will work closely and collaboratively with NHS Boards, HSCP’s and other organisations to plan seamless wrap-around care, which helps some of the most vulnerable families in Scotland.
Following a planned retirement and organisational restructure, this is a new role in a new structure. It offers a chance to join CHAS in a senior nursing role, set to shape the future of paediatric palliative care across Scotland.
About You
You will be an experienced Nurse Leader with a track record of delivering positive change across health care systems. Your experience will include:

Job Purpose:
Creative ideation and production of high performing, short form native social media content (paid and organic, with a focus on video) in collaboration with the social media team; translating and evolving the brand into a strong social media identity; project management support for cross channel content projects. This role is ideal for someone who has a background in design, video production and motion graphics with an instinct for good storytelling and experience in applying both to short form social media and digital advertising content production.

Head of Community Sponsorship Role
This is a rare opportunity to lead Citizens UK’s community sponsorship campaign and help build the movement that will be at the heart of a community-led welcome.
This new role comes at an exciting and crucial time, as we seek to build and embed this new form of named community sponsorship in the UK. Our Second Home (OSH) is a youth movement for young people with refugee experience to build community, become leaders, and flourish in the place they now call home. Each year, thousands of displaced young people arrive in the UK facing isolation, disruption to education, and limited opportunities to belong. OSH exists to change that.
Our work begins with residential programmes, where young people form friendships, build confidence, and experience joy and belonging. From there, many go on to take part in our nationally certified Leadership Training Programme and our regular Youth Hubs in London and Bristol. With the right support, young people return as peer leaders themselves – shaping programmes, mentoring others, and helping to build a self-sustaining, youth-led movement.
We are now looking for a Communications & Content Producer to help bring this work to life. This role is about turning the energy, warmth and leadership that exists across OSH into compelling stories, images and short videos that deepen connection with supporters, recruit volunteers, and support fundraising and events.

The Communications & Content Producer is a freelance role, working 1.5 days per week, reporting to the CEO. You will be responsible for capturing and producing content from across OSH’s programmes – particularly youth hubs, leadership training days and residentials – and shaping it into consistent, values-aligned output across our digital channels.
This includes attending programmes to capture photos, short-form video and quotes; identifying moments that tell the story of OSH; and maintaining a simple, organised content library. You will lead delivery of a regular social media rhythm, with a particular focus on Instagram, including posts, reels and stories, as well as adapting content for other platforms where appropriate.
You will develop and run a small number of recurring content series, write clear and engaging captions in UK English, and design simple, on-brand graphics using tools such as Canva. The role also involves producing a monthly supporter email newsletter, keeping key website pages up to date, supporting fundraising pushes and events such as the Young Leaders’ Graduation Showcase, and helping amplify partners, funders and sector allies.
Alongside content creation, you will put in place light systems – a content calendar, simple co-creation processes for staff and volunteers, and basic analytics – to track what is working and refine output over time.

Business Partnering
- Work closely and build strong relationships with operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
- Influence strategic decisions through clear communication of financial insights.
- Undertake financial evaluation of new projects, business cases, funding bids, and contracts, as required.
- Produce written reports on performance, highlighting key financial risks and opportunities.
- Upskill budget holders in financial awareness and management
- Own the finance business partner relationship and role with some of the more complex profit centres
Treasury & Cash Management
- Lead cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning across the organisation.
- Manage relationships with banks and investment managers, ensuring compliance with treasury policies.
- Oversee restricted and unrestricted fund reporting and ensure appropriate allocation and usage.
- Support the development and implementation of treasury strategies, including reserve management and ethical investment policies.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Support the Finance Director & budget holders in preparing financial models, as required.
- Partner with budget holders to provide financial models and insightful financial analysis and to support decision-making.
- Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets & reforecasts, identifying risks and opportunities
- Deliver high-quality analysis to support new initiatives.
Finance Systems & Process Improvement
- Lead on the implementation and optimisation of finance systems (eg. Xero).
- Monitor and manage any payment and other system interfaces
- Drive automation and efficiency in financial processes & reporting.
- Support the integration of finance with wider organisational systems - finance representative on technology SCRUMS and SPRINTS
mCompliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with charity accounting standards (SORP), Companies House, HMRC, and Charity Commission requirements.
- Responsible for accurate and timely submission of HMRC returns, including quarterly VAT returns, annual employee benefits and Corporation Tax.
- Prepare statutory accounts and lead on the external audit process.
- Quarterly reporting to Make-A-Wish International - APD reporting
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and best practices.
Team leadership & Support
- Manage and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
- Provide training and support to non-finance staff on budgeting and financial procedures
- to improve financial literacy across the organization.
- Create Finance resources to encourage self-service for common queries
General and ad-hoc Support
- Deputise for Finance Director in their absence
- Provide cover for finance team members during periods of absence, ensuring continuity of service and workload management.
- Take on additional duties as appropriate to the level of the role and contribute to team objectives.
- Support fundraising events from a finance perspective

Veterans Community Occupational Therapist (Maternity Cover)
Location: Remote working covering Northern Ireland
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week

About You

About the Role
As a Veterans Community Occupational Therapist, you will:
- Provide community-based occupational therapy input to veterans, supporting their physical health, independence and day-to-day functioning.
- Work with veterans and, where appropriate, their families and support networks to assess needs and identify practical, person-centred solutions.
- Support veterans to navigate healthcare and support pathways, promoting independence and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside Community Nurses and other professionals.
- Contribute to education, outreach and engagement activity to support the Armed Forces Community.

About the Team
You will be joining the clinical team at Help for Heroes, providing community-based support to the Armed Forces Community across Northern Ireland. The team works collaboratively as a multidisciplinary group of Occupational Therapists and Community Nurses, finding resourceful ways to deliver care that is right, fair and tailored to each individual.
