Role Purpose

Special events play a vital role in engaging our supporters, inspiring their support, and raising vital income for Child Bereavement UK.

The Special Events Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing high-quality Special Events. You will work with colleagues from across the charity to develop programmes that will engage our audiences and communicate the impact we deliver as a charity.

The role will work closely with the Philanthropy team delivering high profile events that engage an inspire high net worth individuals across the country.

Main Responsibilities

Leadership

• To lead and inspire the Special Events Team fostering a collaborative and high culture that delivers against income and objectives 
• Provide clear and supportive leadership that motivates staff to achieve, develop and grow in their roles 
• Undertake quarterly reviews for all direct reports 

Special Events

• Support the Head of Philanthropy and Special Events to deliver the Special Events strategy
• Plan and lead on all Special Events ensuing all return a good ROI
• Lead on relationships with external suppliers including venues, caterers, AV suppliers, photographers etc
• Work with the Head of Philanthropy & Special Events to manage relationships with senior volunteers and supporters
• Developing comprehensive proposals and plans for every event detailing objectives, formats, timelines, risks, marketing/communications plans and evaluation plans
• Working closely with the Philanthropy team to create and liaise with special event committees
• Ensure the smooth running of the events in line with health and safety guidelines
• Prepare detailed event briefings, and evaluate the success and impact of the events
• Manage and monitor expenditure for the events, as agreed with the Head of Philanthropy and Special Events ensuring value for money and adherence to budget
• Oversee recruitment and support for all Event committees

Job Purpose

The Senior Individual Giving Officer plays a central role delivering the campaigns and plans that will achieve the Individual Giving programme income targets. This role will lead our Path Protection work, to help people understand their rights, take local action to protect paths and improve the places where they live. A key part of the role is working with and supporting a network of knowledgeable volunteers across Great Britain, to take practical action in their communities.

You’ll focus on creating programmes that make it easier for more people – especially those with the most barriers and least access – to get involved, speak up for their local paths, and take action that leads to real improvements.

We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience in public rights of way, outdoor access, planning, environmental protection or a related field – and who can turn that knowledge into practical, community-led action.

Context and purpose of role

At Ramblers we work to empower the public and volunteers to take action to protect paths and access – whether claiming lost rights of way, pursuing resolutions to path problems, or objecting to changes to the definitive map. As a member of the Programmes team, the Programme Lead (Path Protection) will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of the programme across GB.

Key responsibilities

· Lead on the design, development and operational delivery of the Path Protection programme across GB.

· Create operational delivery plans – to identify milestones, monitor risks, resolve issues and manage resource requirements.

· Design and develop resources and processes to support programme implementation.

We are now seeking a temporary experienced CRM Project Manager to play a pivotal role in strengthening our operations.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a focused, high-impact project that will shape the way we capture, manage and utilise information across multiple teams. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will lead a full discovery and selection process for a new Customer Relationship Management system, ensuring it meets both our operational needs and long-term strategic ambitions.

The Programme Officer will play an integral role in the Impact team within the broader Directorate of Impact and External Affairs. BBS UK is a national charity supporting people affected by this rare genetic condition. We work closely with NHS specialist clinics and other services to help individuals and families access the support they need and navigate health, education, social care and welfare systems. 

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small, dedicated team providing practical support, advocacy and guidance to people living with BBS and their families. 

The role includes team leadership, safeguarding responsibility and service development. You will help ensure people receive safe, responsive and person-centred support while continuing to improve and strengthen our services. 

About the Role 

As Support Services Manager, you will oversee BBS UK’s clinics support and advice services. Working closely with the CEO, NHS clinics and partner organisations, you will:

This is a hands-on and strategic role for an experienced fundraiser who thrives in a small to medium sized charity environment. You will have autonomy to develop a whole new fundraising strategy, utilise diverse fundraising methods, and build and develop new project ideas and partnerships. Deliver excellent supporter services function to support growth in public fundraising.  Ensure excellence in supporter experience and care. Support the efficient and compliant delivery and financial reconciliation of our fundraising campaigns and activities. Work across the Fundraising, Finance, Info Centre, and Marketing teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage supporter complaints processes, acting as first point of resolution, ensuring complaints are actioned and responded to in line with FareShare complaints policy.
• Support the Supporter Services and Compliance Manager to develop and deliver management information related to supporter complaints.
• Work with the Finance team to deliver processes to support donor refunds and cancellations.
• Support the Supporter Services and Compliance Manager to manage relationships with external fulfilment houses, payment providers (Stripe, GoCardless), and fundraising platforms (Enthuse, Just Giving, CAF, CAF America) on behalf of FareShare to ensure compliance and optimal supporter experience.
• Further duties as and when required by the fundraising operations team and wider directorate.
• Manage and lead supporter complaints processes, acting as first point of resolution, ensuring complaints are actioned and responded to in line with FareShare complaints policy.
• Deliver an outstanding level of customer service, keeping within agreed SLAs and KPIs.
• Coordinate and implement training on the use of the 8x8 telephony system for Fundraising and Marketing teams.
• Record all interactions accurately and clearly in Salesforce within agreed SLAs.

Person Specification 

•  Experience of working in a fundraising supporter or customer services environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

• Understanding of financial reconciliation processes and the role of a CRM in effectively managing income processing
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Organised and methodical approach to work.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of the fundraising regulatory environment, including the Fundraising Regulator Code of Practice, HRMC Gift Aid regulations, GDPR and PECR.

• Good numeracy skills with excellent analytical skills to interrogate data.

About the Youth Endowment Fund

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.

In recent years violent crime has risen significantly. Homicides, assaults, robberies and offences involving weapons have all seen sustained growth. We have also seen large increases in violent crime involving children and young people. This is a tragedy. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment and a mission that matters. We exist to prevent children becoming involved in violence. Our mission is to find what works and build a movement to put it into practice.

A big part of the movement that we need to build is in the world of education. We need to inspire and connect with education leaders across England and Wales to spread what works and make our country safer for some of our most vulnerable children. We are looking for someone to lead on making this happen.

Key Responsibilities

We have made good progress building the evidence of what works within and around education to reduce violence, including publishing our Education, Children and Violence Guidance which provides school, college and alternative provision leaders with five evidence-based recommendations to help prevent children’s involvement in violence. We have also published Education Policy, Children and Violence which provides eight recommendations for policy makers and system leaders. In 2025, we also launched the Education Practice Insight Creator (a self-assessment tool for education leaders) and a number of collaborations with leading sector organisations. But the big risk is that despite all of these efforts change is not made or sustained within the sector.

This is where you come in. We are recruiting for two Senior Change Manager roles within our Education Change Team. Both roles will support education leaders to put in place and sustain evidence-informed practice to prevent children’s involvement in violence.

Senior Change Manager – Education Network

You will design, lead and grow a national network of education leaders, supporting them to put in place and sustain evidence-informed practice.

This includes delivering a programme of network activity (online sessions, in-person events, collaborative projects and a national conference), building a strong professional community, and generating insight to inform our wider work. Initially, this will focus on a new programme - the Safety in and Around Schools Partnership – which will involve supporting a network of up to 250 schools.

Focus: Working at scale – developing the offer, convening leaders, and building a national network.

Best suited to: Those with experience of building and facilitating communities of practice, communicating at scale, and convening groups of leaders.

Senior Change Manager – Practice Change

You will be working directly with education leaders and local partners to support the implementation and sustaining of evidence-informed practice. This includes facilitating training, providing 1-2-1 support, developing resources, and working with clusters of schools and multi-agency partners in local areas.

Focus: Working directly with leaders to build their capacity to lead, implement and sustain evidence-informed practice change.

Best suited to: Those with experience of leading in education and working closely with school leaders to support evidence-informed implementation.

You might have previous experience of supporting school leaders to reflect on and adopt evidence-based practice.

• You have experience of supporting and developing education leaders.  You have experience of enabling them to sustainably develop their leadership, policies and practices and improves the lives of young people. You can develop helpful resources and impactful sessions which support leaders.

• You learn fast but remain humble. You are very quick at getting your head around things. You like learning. You are very good at synthesising information. You care more that good things happen than who gets the credit. You are a great and supportive team player.

• You understand young people. You understand what the lives of vulnerable young people can be like, and you understand some of the organisations that work with them, ideally through first-hand experience.

Hybrid Working

The 999 Club is a small charity doing big things with local people facing homelessness. For over 30 years we’ve been in the heart of Deptford providing warm welcomes and wraparound services ensuring those who need us are given the best chance of leaving homelessness behind for good.  

Our Gateway Drop-In Centre offers nutritious meals, laundry and medical facilities, showers, IT access, phone charging , a safe space to rest and a dedicated Women’s Sanctuary.  

When members feel ready, our team of expert staff are on hand to support them into suitable accommodation where possible, secure income via paid work or benefits, and provide immigration signposting for those who need it. Once housed, our Move+ programme continues to work with them to ensure they settle into new accommodation with the knowledge, skills, community and hope required to thrive in their new life.  

We also run The Bridge, a free six-week evening mental health course open to anyone in the community experiencing mental distress. The programme provides a practical toolkit to support long-term mental wellbeing.  

JOB OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVES 

This role will play a vital role in advancing 999 Club’s ambitious plans to enhance its status, reputation, and support among both existing and wider audiences. At this pivotal moment in the charity’s history, the postholder will work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications and the Members’ Committee to co-develop and implement a bold new communications and marketing strategy. 

Building on a recent organisational rebrand, this role will ensure that the voices of those with lived experience remain central to the organisation’s messaging and identity. A key focus will be strengthening internal and external communication, uniting our diverse membership—which includes staff, clients, volunteers, trustees, and supporters—while also reaching new audiences through social media, direct marketing, PR, and media outreach. 

A major priority will be the relaunch and expansion of the 999 Club’s Membership Scheme and Champions Programme, designed to deepen awareness and support for 999 Club across Southeast London and beyond. Underpinning these efforts, the postholder will manage the Donorfy CRM database and ensure the ongoing maintenance and development of our WordPress website.

• Manage 999 Club’s social media across all major platforms, creating engaging content that amplifies member voices and resonates with wider audiences.

• Produce dynamic newsletter content that strengthen reader engagement and drives action.
