We are seeking an Events Manager to lead UnLtd’s event portfolio while our current Events Manager is on maternity leave. This person will be responsible for leading, coordinating and delivering the event plan in line with the organisational strategy. We are looking for a confident event specialist who will be able to support our frontline team to deliver a schedule of events for social entrepreneurs and UnLtd’s wider network.

You will be flexible in your approach and confident managing the whole process from planning through to delivery and event evaluation. The role is primarily hands-on and often involves working as part of, and at times leading, a cross-functional team. This role will suit you if you are patient and keep calm when things don’t go to plan, or when you don’t have all the answers you need. You’ll fall back on your meticulous organisation skills to ensure that UnLtd events are produced efficiently, fulfil their purpose, and are executed to the highest level.

The latest research suggests that 2.7 million children are at risk of hunger, meaning one in five children don’t have enough to eat. Magic Breakfast provides a nutritious breakfast to over 350,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target children most in need without barrier or stigma.

JOB PURPOSE 

As Magic Breakfast continues to expand its reach to support growing numbers of children and young people across the UK, increasing our fundraised income is essential. To help drive this growth, we are seeking a full-time Partnership Development Manager to join our high-performing team and secure new, strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships. 

The purpose of the Partnership Development Manager role is to work closely with the Partnership Development Lead to shape and deliver our new business strategy. The role will focus on identifying, cultivating and securing new strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships, developing tailored and compelling propositions for prospective partners, and collaborating cross-functionally with Brand and Marketing, Operations, Volunteering, and other departments across the Charity to successfully bring these partnerships to life. 

Experience securing five- and six-figure partnerships is a plus, but most importantly, we’re looking for a confident, creative, and outgoing self-starter. Someone who is comfortable building relationships, pitching with conviction, and passionately championing our mission to win new strategic partners. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Pipeline Development and Cultivation:   

• Build and manage a pipeline aligned to Magic Breakfast’s funding priorities, including restricted, unrestricted, and Gift-in-Kind opportunities, working closely with the Prospect Research Manager. 

• Secure meetings with prospective partners through creative outreach, networking, phone calls, and LinkedIn. 

• Cultivate prospects to conversion, tailoring messaging, approach, and engagement to each organisation. 

• Maintain accurate records in the database and ensure all risk screening, due diligence, and compliance with ethical and regulatory standards are completed. 

Planning, Pitching & Partnership Delivery 

• Research and understand each prospect’s strategic priorities to define mutually beneficial partnership opportunities. 

• Develop and deliver engaging pitches, proposals, and costed partnership plans. 

• Collaborate internally and with prospects to agree partnership vision, objectives, and KPIs. 

• Ensure contracts are appropriately prepared, explained, approved, and filed. 

• Facilitate smooth handovers of new partners to Account Managers or the Small Corporates team. 

General:  

• Work closely with the Partnership Development Lead and the wider team to contribute to the new business strategy, annual planning, and budgeting. 

• Collaborate with the Partnership Development Team to share ideas, troubleshoot challenges, embrace our test-and-learn culture, and support collective prospect development. 

• Maintain accurate forecasting in Salesforce, updating weekly to reflect progress and pipeline activity. 

• Monitor trends in corporate giving and competitor activity to identify opportunities and inform proposals.

• Build strong, collaborative relationships across the organisation to support partnership development.

• Actively participate in team meetings, supporting colleagues and sharing insights. 

• Represent Magic Breakfast at occasional external events.

Process – a development programme for women, non-binary and trans+ music makers. Structured across three strands for different abilities (Create, Define, Release), Process combines workshops, mentoring and masterclasses to build skills, confidence and community for underrepresented producers.

Out The Box (OTB) – hands-on analogue mixing workshops in leading London studios, giving emerging producers practical experience with desks, outboard gear and professional engineers while bridging digital and analogue production techniques.

Program Director (Youth Employment)

Prospectus is supporting an independent foundation seeking a Program Director (Youth Employment) who can complement the existing team by virtue of their experience in labor market economics, workforce development, value chain transformation, and/or the prioritization of public-sector investment in critical economic sectors.

Program Directors work with their government counterparts to design and support implementation of transformative programs, and many government counterparts are prioritizing youth employment. Program Directors are accountable to the CEO and are responsible for ensuring quality execution of programs; strengthening routine monitoring systems; leading evidence-based decision-making; and driving highly leveraged outcomes.

Program Directors each work on a variety of matters related to human capital development and contribute to programs in different African geographies. You can expect a dynamic environment and a culture of collaboration, innovation, and drive for highly leveraged outcomes.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience with complex and large-scale program ideation and implementation, ideally related to youth employment, labor market interventions, value chain transformation, and public-sector investment.
• Good understanding of how governmental departments work, ideally with direct experience working within government.
• Significant interactions at high policy levels within governments, with proven experience in managing complex and politically sensitive relationships with different stakeholders.
• Demonstration of methodical program oversight and management.
• Experienced in the use of programmatic tools such as dashboard creation, program monitoring and strategic planning.
• Demonstrated familiarity with and/or experience working in sub-Saharan Africa.

Terms

• £100,000 – £140,000 + benefits.

The Democratic Progress Institute (DPI) is an independent non-governmental organisation established in consultation with international experts in conflict resolution and democratic advancement. DPI seeks to promote peace and democracy building through strengthened public dialogue and engagement.

Overall Purpose of the Position

The Head of Programmes and Operations is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the organisations’ project activities and leads the DPI Programmes team, also ensuring effective and enabling line-management of Finance, Fundraising, Programmes and Operations colleagues. The role works with the CEO on operational, fundraising, strategic and monitoring levels and involves representing DPI at external meetings and events as needed.

Project Management

• Coordinates the day-to-day operational management of the DPI’s programmes, including the implementation of activities and financial matters – in close coordination with relevant colleagues.
• Monitors the implementation of project activities and ensures compliance with donor requirements, the organizational strategic framework, as well as internal procedures and policies.
• Initiates and facilitates internal programmes and events planning meetings (including designing the agenda and overseeing the organisation and preparation of materials)
• Organises regular meetings with the Programmes team to ensure project plans and donor requirements are on track.
• Keeps an up-to-date overview of programme delivery, reports any challenges, and suggests solutions to the CEO.
• Builds project budgets with Finance, monitors project expenditures, develops financial strategies and addresses financial challenges.
• Monitors the political and security situation in Türkiye and the wider regions, developments relating to the conflict and impact on the project.

People Management

• Ensures the effective line-management of the Funding and Development Manager, Finance Manager, Operations Manager and Programmes staff.
• Organises regular check-ins with direct reports, to enable effective management of workloads, ensuring priorities are met, and to facilitate professional development and staff retention.
• Works closely with the Funding and Development Manager to ensure timely delivery and monitoring of contractual reports, including interim and final reports to donors.

• Oversees deliverables and performance of the M&E and Communications consultants.

Networking

• Represents and promotes DPI’s work in varied contexts and maintains relationships with external stakeholders in Türkiye and in Europe such as political party representatives.
• Builds and maintains relationships with partners and donors alongside the Funding and Development Manager when needed.
• Carries out frequent visits to Türkiye and maintains a good working knowledge of the facts on the ground when needed.

Governance

• Leads on the planning of regular Board meetings, in collaboration with all relevant colleagues and the CEO.

Key Experience/Technical Competencies/Knowledge required for the position.

The successful candidate should have the following:

• A postgraduate degree in Political Science, Law, Conflict Resolution, International Relations, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 8-10 years’ experience in project management in charity or NGO setting.
• Extensive experience with line-management, and a commitment to fostering an engaging and inclusive team culture.
• Strong experience of overseeing the implementation of government and/or EU funded projects.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Critical and strategic thinking skills.
• Experience in research and complex information analysis.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• A strong understanding of confidentiality terms.
• Ability to manage under tight deadlines and in high-pressure environments

Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) is an international movement that started in the 1970s in the American prison system. AVP Britain (AVPB) is one of multiple independent branches which operate around the globe. A registered national charity, AVP Britain is committed to a world where everyone has the courage and capacity to manage conflict non-violently.

We provide experiential workshops in-person and online; and distance learning courses which give people the necessary skills to navigate conflict non-violently and empower them to build better relationships.

AVPB is a small but impactful charity with a long history of working in communities and prisons across the UK.  We are entering an important next phase in our development and are seeking a Charity Director who can provide strategic and operational leadership, strengthen our financial sustainability, increase our visibility and impact across the communities we serve, and steward our mission with clarity and care.

The Charity Director is the leader of our charity and is the most senior paid role within AVPB.  The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping the organisation’s present and future.

We are looking for a Charity Director who provides leadership that encompasses income generation, fundraising, oversight of our programme quality and delivery, leads and supports our support staff, volunteers, and facilitators and will works closely with the Board of Trustees.

This is a part-time role (0.6 FTE, 24 hours per week), offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a values-led organisation. This is initially a fixed-term appointment for six months, with the intention to extend subject to funding and mutual agreement.
