Rays of Sunshine, recognised in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026, is looking for an experienced and proactive Executive Assistant to the CEO to join our small, ambitious and collaborative team.
This is a varied part-time role at the heart of the organisation, working closely with the CEO to provide high-quality executive support and help coordinate governance, projects, organisational priorities and key operational activity.
You will be joining Rays of Sunshine at an exciting point in our development, with a clear focus on strengthening how we work, delivering our ambitions well and continuing to grow our impact for seriously ill children and their families.
This is much more than a traditional diary-management role. You will work closely with the CEO across a broad range of priorities, helping to create structure, maintain momentum and ensure important actions are followed through. The role will involve coordinating meetings, briefings and actions; supporting Committee and governance processes; helping to keep key organisational projects on track; and providing practical support across operational activity.
You will also play an important role in the wider rhythm of the organisation, helping to coordinate team meetings, collaborative sessions, away days, staff engagement activity and actions arising from staff feedback.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, calm under pressure and confident working independently. You will need excellent judgement and absolute discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. You will be someone who can anticipate what is needed, take ownership of tasks through to completion and build strong relationships with colleagues, Trustees, advisers, partners and suppliers.
Our team is small, values-led and ambitious. We value collaboration, kindness, accountability and a willingness to get stuck in. Because of our size, everyone has a visible impact, and this role will suit someone who enjoys being at the centre of an organisation, understands how to keep things moving and takes pride in doing the small things exceptionally well.
Experience in governance or the charity sector would be helpful but is not essential. We are more interested in finding someone with strong EA or senior coordination experience, excellent judgement and the ability to bring structure and pace to a busy environment.
At Rays of Sunshine, we brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families through magical wishes, hospital services and our wider Wish Community. This is an opportunity to use your skills in a role where the quality of your work will directly support the effectiveness and impact of the charity.
Applications will be reviewed as they are received, with interviews held on a rolling basis on or before 8 October 2026. An immediate start is desirable, so early applications are encouraged.
We brighten the lives of seriously ill children across the UK by granting wishes and providing ongoing support in hospitals and within the community
Job Title - Programme and Partnerships Officer (RJFN)

Today, the Coram group helps more than one million children, young people, families and professionals every year by providing access to the skills and opportunities they need to thrive.
Coram is a leader in adoption and fostering, children’s health education, therapy, child and family law, and advocacy for those in and leaving care. The organisation has grown rapidly in recent years, both in terms of income and staffing, making an exciting and interesting place to be.
About the role
We are looking for an organised, collaborative and proactive Programme & Partnerships Officer to provide the coordination and delivery capacity that will help RJFN strengthen its national network and deliver its programme of work across advocacy, policy and practice development, research, training and member engagement.
Working closely with the RJFN Chair, members and partners, you will support member engagement, build and maintain partnerships, organise events and communications, and help monitor the network’s reach and impact. This is a varied role with significant autonomy and an opportunity to help shape a growing national network.
We welcome applicants with skills and experience gained through a range of routes, including professional, voluntary, community and lived experience. Knowledge or experience of racial justice, children’s rights, children’s social care, family justice or a related area is desirable, but we are particularly interested in strong organisational, relationship-building and communication skills, and a clear commitment to racial justice and anti-racist practice.

We prevent homelessness, provide safe places to live and give people the opportunity to rebuild their lives and transform their futures. And we never give up.
We’re here for Londoners wherever they are on their journey. We start with trust, building relationships that help people feel safe, supported, and ready to move forward. We stand alongside people as they rebuild and shape a future that feels their own.
Joining Single Homeless Project means joining a team that’s bold, compassionate and determined to do better for the people we support and for each other. You’ll work alongside colleagues with lived experience, in a space that’s trans-inclusive, disability-friendly, and actively striving to be anti-oppressive and equitable.

EASST is an international NGO promoting road safety and sustainable mobility across Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
We believe local voices are essential to saving lives and bringing lasting change so we form long term partnerships with local civil society organisations, uniting their on-the-ground knowledge with national and international expertise to deliver evidence-based solutions that are grounded in the local reality.
Across our region, fatality rates are more than twice the European average and can cost up to 4% GDP, yet road safety still doesn't get the priority or investment it needs.
Today, rapidly escalating vehicle numbers are straining urban infrastructure, challenging existing road safety frameworks, and contributing to poor air quality and higher carbon emissions.
Our projects are focused on long-term change, connecting the dots between road safety and sustainable mobility and supporting communities in the transition toward safer, more inclusive transport networks that reduce casualties, strengthen climate resilience, and support sustainable economic growth.
EASST also operates EASST Expertise Ltd, an international road safety consultancy and wholly owned trading subsidiary. EASST Expertise draws on a wide network of specialists to support, advise and manage road safety projects across the world, with all surplus revenues returned to support EASST's charitable work.
Why join EASST?
EASST is a small organisation, and this is a varied role with significant responsibility. You will have the opportunity to work across the full project cycle, from developing new ideas and proposals through to delivery, evaluation and learning. You will build strong, trusted relationships with our local civil society partners, support their organisational and technical development, and combine their on-the-ground knowledge with international technical expertise to influence policy and practice.
This is a hands-on role in a small organisation. Alongside managing programmes, you will contribute to new business development, organisational strategy and wider EASST activities as needed.

- Oversee project planning, work plans and budgets, monitoring progress and flagging risks or delays early, with proposed solutions.
- Ensure projects are technically sound, evidence-based and aligned with international road safety good practice.
- Support the development of new project proposals and concept notes, including budgeting, log frames/theories of change, and donor-specific requirements.
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with partner organisations, supporting them to strengthen organisational and technical capacity, including through monitoring visits and technical support missions.
- Develop and maintain project monitoring frameworks, tracking outputs, outcomes and impact, and capturing lessons learned to inform future programme design.
- Prepare high-quality narrative and financial reports for donors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with requirements and deadlines.
- Manage project budgets and financial compliance, working with the Director of Operations and Finance to monitor spend and forecast against donor rules.
- Identify and manage programmatic, financial, reputational and safeguarding risks, ensuring compliance with EASST's policies throughout.
- Collaborate with colleagues across EASST and represent EASST with donors, partners and other stakeholders, contributing to organisational strategy, business development, and communications outputs as needed.
