As volunteering lead, the postholder will play a pivotal part in bringing that vision to life.

You will work closely with key stakeholders to enhance the volunteer experience at every stage of the volunteer lifecycle—from attraction and recruitment through to development and recognition.

You’ll design and deliver innovative approaches to enhance the experience of our current volunteers, along with planning and implementing new approaches to attracting volunteers for the future.

Key responsibilities

Volunteer Recruitment and Onboarding

Pro Bono Community is seeking a Training and Volunteer Coordinator to help us achieve greater access to justice.

Pro Bono Community is a registered charity that has developed specialised training programmes for students, trainees and lawyers covering the practical skills involved in delivering free legal advice and areas of social welfare law. In conjunction with the training, the charity arranges and manages volunteering placements at Law Centres and other advice agencies. The charity’s activities include a number of grant-funded projects which the coordinator will be heavily involved in.

About the role

Pro Bono Community is looking for a Training and Volunteer Coordinator to help us run programmes aimed at improving the amount and quality of access to justice by training law students and others and then placing them to work as volunteers at advice agencies.

The Training and Volunteer Coordinator will report to and work alongside the Director to undertake work supporting the charity’s activities with a focus on recruiting and training students and lawyers and then coordinating volunteering placements for them at Law Centres and advice agencies. The role also includes administrative work relating to a pioneering digital advice clinic the charity runs in conjunction with a Citizens Advice agency in London.

This is a full-time role with a salary of £31-35,000 depending on experience and the charity is seeking to appoint someone with knowledge of training and the legal/advice sectors and/or experience in a similar role. About Under One Sky & The Lighthouse

Under One Sky works alongside people experiencing homelessness to provide practical support, human connection, and pathways toward greater stability. 

Lighthouse creates the conditions for people who have experienced homelessness to move beyond survival and begin rebuilding their lives. Over twelve weeks, small cohorts come together in a consistent, supportive space where confidence grows, relationships are rebuilt, and people reconnect with their sense of direction and possibility.

Through outreach, partnership working, and volunteer-led programmes, we aim to create spaces where people are treated with dignity, trust, and consistency.

The role

The Programme Manager leads the operational delivery of Lighthouse, ensuring the programme runs safely, reliably, and to a consistently high standard across the programme week. This role sits at the centre of the work - creating the conditions that allow Lighthouse to function with both structure and humanity.

Lighthouse operates in a dynamic environment where participant needs, operational demands, and volunteer teams intersect daily. You will bring clarity and calm to that complexity, maintaining strong systems and organisation while responding thoughtfully and decisively to what emerges in real time.

You will take ownership of the systems, planning, and operational coordination that underpin delivery. This includes overseeing key sessions, ensuring volunteers are well supported, and maintaining a physical space that is safe, welcoming, and well run. Your role is to make sure Lighthouse works - consistently, reliably, and with care.

You will also play a central role in shaping how Lighthouse develops over time. By observing how delivery works in practice, you will identify what can be strengthened and translate this into practical improvements. This requires sound judgement, attention to detail, and a commitment to doing things well.

You will work closely with the Engagement Manager to ensure Lighthouse remains both operationally strong and deeply responsive to the people it serves.

Lighthouse operates primarily between 8:00am and 8:00pm, with occasional evening events. Programme delivery is supported by a team of volunteers.

The two Managers coordinate their working schedules to ensure presence during key delivery periods across the programme week.

Working patterns are flexible and planned collaboratively to support delivery while maintaining sustainable workloads.

Lighthouse Management Structure

Lighthouse is delivered through a shared model, with two Managers working together to ensure the programme remains a safe, consistent, and dignified space for people experiencing homelessness.

Delivering this well requires both strong programme organisation and careful, trauma-informed engagement with participants.

The two Managers hold complementary responsibilities that ensure Lighthouse is both well-run and deeply responsive to the people it serves. While each role leads on specific areas of the programme, they work closely together to maintain consistent standards, clear communication, and a reliable experience for participants.

CAFOD is seeking an Evidence and Learning Advisor to support International Programmes (IP) during a period of maternity cover. The role plays a key part in embedding evidence and learning within CAFOD’s Integral Ecology Programme Model (IEPM), which underpins delivery of our strategic framework, Our Common Home.

Working within the Programme Quality Support Team and reporting to the Programme Quality Lead, the postholder will cultivate a strong culture of evidence-based reflection and adaptation across programmes. Refugee Action Kingston (RAK) is seeking an experienced and compassionate ESOL Coordinator to support our Community Hub Project. You will coordinate ESOL volunteers and resources, manage referrals and assessments to place users in classes, and administer registrations using RAK systems. About the role

We are currently seeking to appoint a Safeguarding Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operational safeguarding functions for our charity. You will manage a team of Safeguarding Officers to ensure that an effective and robust safeguarding service is provided.  The post holder will provide professional advice and support on safeguarding matters to staff and volunteers, as well as liaising and meeting with external bodies, and occasionally delivering training.

Whilst this is a Monday- Friday full time position, a flexible approach to work and working patterns is a must, as is the ability to work effectively and respond appropriately in challenging circumstances.

• You’ll work with our students to co-design a programme of GADA trips, as well as sign up students and volunteers to the trips.

Person Specification

Essential Experience

· Significant experience managing complex, multi-partner programmes (ideally national or multi-regional)

· Demonstrable expertise in stakeholder engagement at a senior level, including building and maintaining strong partnerships across sectors

· Strong track record of delivering complex programmes on time and within budget

· Confidence and proven experience in line management (this role will line manage 1 Project Coordinator, and oversee an internship programme of up to 8 paid interns per year)

· Strong financial management skills, and experience managing large budgets (this role will be responsible for financial management of the BELIEVE project, and reporting to funders)

· Strong experience and understanding of Safeguarding, in charities and/ or school settings

Skills & Competencies

· Excellent project management skills, experienced in using project management tools

· Excellent relationship management and influencing skills

· Strategic thinking combined with strong operational delivery

· Ability to navigate complexity and work across different sectors and perspectives

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

Age UK Enfield is a values‑led local charity supporting older people to live safe, independent and fulfilling lives. We are looking for an experienced, compassionate and highly organised Dementia Day Centre Manager to lead our specialist Dementia Day Centre at the Mabel Churn Centre.

The Dementia Day Centre Manager is a pivotal leadership role for someone who combines a deep commitment to person‑centred dementia care with strong operational, safeguarding and people management skills. You will be responsible for ensuring the service is warm, inclusive and dignified for people living with dementia, while also being safe, well‑governed and inspection ready.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead a structured, therapeutic day service with engaging activities tailored to individual needs.
• Champion safe practice and compliance, including safeguarding, assessments and the Mental Capacity Act.
• Recruit, lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring consistent staffing and service continuity.
• Drive quality and smooth operations—maintaining inspection-ready records and oversight of transport and catering (including on-call/deputising as required).

About you

We are looking for a manager who is values‑led, confident and organised, and who understands the balance between compassionate care and robust governance.

You will bring:

• A Level 3 (or above) Health & Social Care qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Strong knowledge of dementia care best practice, safeguarding adults, and CQC Fundamental Standards (including MCA/DoLS).
• Proven experience leading staff and volunteers in a care or community setting.
• Confidence in assessment, person‑centred care planning, risk management and record keeping.
• Excellent IT skills and a clear commitment to maintaining accurate, inspection‑ready records.
• A genuine commitment to equality, dignity, inclusion and person‑centred practice.

Management and dementia‑specific qualifications, and experience overseeing transport or catering services, are desirable but not essential.
