To support this vision, we are seeking an exceptional Director of Development to lead a modern, strategic, and inspiring development programme.  This post is funded by The Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe Foundation CIO (Charity number: 1179234).

The Director of Development will lead the design, delivery, and growth of a comprehensive fundraising strategy that supports the school’s long‑term ambitions. This is a senior leadership role requiring strategic insight, operational discipline, and the ability to build meaningful relationships across the RGS community.

A major priority will be to refresh, rebuild, and modernise the school’s fundraising data, creating a reliable, insight‑driven foundation from which to plan and execute fundraising activity. Alongside this, the postholder will lead a transformational capital appeal to deliver a new state‑of‑the‑art STEM facility by 2030 — a project that will shape the educational experience of future generations.

The role also includes developing a legacy giving programme, expanding regular giving among parents, and introducing innovative school‑based fundraising initiatives that engage pupils, staff, alumni, and the wider community

Shine supports a community of over 15,000 members living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, including 5,000 children and young people (0–25).

You will be delivering high-quality support and creating opportunities for children and young people living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their families/carers. Supporting Shine members to lead healthy, independent, and fulfilling lives by improving condition management and fostering connections within the Shine community. 

This role will focus on children and young people (0–25), you will be primarily working within the Children, Young People and Families team. However, there will be occasions when you will work across age groups to ensure the best outcomes for our members. 

The role is home-based but you will be required to attend regular clinics in London including GOSH (Great Ormond Street Hospital). Other travel across Southern England including Bristol, Devon and Hampshire may be required. There will be occasional travel required across wider areas and nationally including attendance at events, conferences and meetings at our head office in Peterborough.

The Relationship Manager will lead one or a small portfolio of programmes.

The VCS Alliance

The VCS Alliance is a charity dedicated to transforming health and social care across Bradford District and Craven. To do this, we act as a bridge between the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector and the Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership, channelling investment into the sector, to deliver transformational programmes. Chelmsford Cathedral is seeking to appoint a Cathedral Safeguarding Officer to provide confident, values led leadership and operational oversight of safeguarding across the Cathedral community. Job title: Homelessness Lead Worker (Structured Coach)

Crisis Skylight Oxford is located in the Old Fire Station in the centre of the city. Our team provide a one-to-one specialist housing led service to help people find and secure affordable housing. We offer person centred support and will help people with anything that will support them to end their homelessness, such as mental health and well-being, finances or finding employment.

The Old Fire Station building also accommodates a range of flexible arts spaces which are run by an independent arts company.  

About the role 

In this role you will carry your own caseload and be supporting people who are at risk of homelessness or experiencing homelessness into both the private rented sector and social housing.

You will be part of a supportive and established team who have knowledge and experience of accessing the PRS sector, completing housing assessments and budgeting plans.

The key to success will be your ability, as part of the Crisis team, to make collaborative, consistent and persistent relationships with each person you support and have good partnership working skills

About you, to be successful in this role you will have;

1. Experience of working within a relevant sector (e.g. homelessness, mental health, drug and alcohol treatment) and have good knowledge of relevant housing, homelessness and welfare legislation

2. Excellent understanding of supporting individuals experiencing multiple disadvantages

3. Understand of barriers and opportunities faced by people moving out of homelessness and into housing and securing positive outcome

4. Effective negotiation skills with the ability to mediate between parties who may have different priorities and to broker agreements

This role will provide support to existing supporters and proactively expand community and event fundraising initiatives through groups, organisations, individuals, community-based events and 3rd party sporting events.

The post-holder is responsible for building relationships with community-based groups, individuals and event participants to ensure they reach their fundraising potential/target for the charity, whilst being an excellent ambassador for the organisation.

The post-holder will provide a physical presence at events, meetings and engagement opportunities.

This is an income generating role, but it is also about connecting with our supporters and creating long-term relationships for the future

About You

• Experience of delivering against targets (e.g. sales, engagement or other data).
• A track record of building and tracking a customer journey/ relationships
• Experience of providing support at public events for fundraising

• Strong relationship building skills including tailoring your approach to different audiences
• Good computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office, Excel, CRM databases and social media platforms.
• Excellent communication skills; verbal and written with an ability to present an appropriate and persuasive case for support
• Ability to work independently seeking advice and support when appropriate
• This role involves out of hours working and a willingness to work flexibly is required

Role purpose:

The overall purpose of the role is to support the Head of HR and the EDI Lead to develop and deliver people management strategies which support the organisation's aims and objectives. This role will provide a comprehensive HR service, which ensures that managers and employees are equipped to foster and develop a high-performance culture within ShelterBox.

Working with our staff, the HR & EDI Business Partner provides guidance and support to all staff on the full range of HR activities including policy and procedure, absence, recruitment, retention, performance management, employee relations and reward.

The HR & EDI Business Partner is also responsible for working with, and supporting the EDI Lead, staff EDI Liaisons and EDI Champions to develop and embed EDI measures and strategies that support ShelterBox in continuing to build a positive and inclusive culture internationally.

This role needs someone who is a natural collaborator and is comfortable working with stakeholders across the organisation as well the ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines.

You will have experience in a similar position, implementing and working within a broad range of HR and EDI activities with up-to-date knowledge of Employment and EDI related legislation.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

Employee Relations:

• Provision of first-class, customer-focused support throughout the whole employee life cycle
• Provide HR advice based on best-practice and current legislation.
• Supporting the Head of HR in forming HR policies and objectives.
• Providing organisational wide communications
• Help establish organisational culture, including inclusion, equity and diversity and wellbeing
• Assist with the roll out of staff satisfaction surveys including analysis of results and subsequent action planning on next steps

HR Practice:

• Help develop forward thinking, compliant and appropriate HR policies, practice and operating procedures, ensuring their effective implementation
• Influence management decisions to comply with best practice
• Support teams and departments through formal HR procedures

HR Projects:

• Lead and deliver HR projects as assigned by the Head of HR
• Work with the Head of HR to contribute to, develop and implement the organisation-wide business plan and objectives

Recruitment & selection:

• Responsible for managing recruitment campaigns and provide applicant support
• Support recruiting managers with the selection process
• Coordinate and produce all onboarding paperwork
• Deliver new starter inductions

Pay and reward structure:

• Contribute to designing and developing a reward and benefit strategy to ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with organisational goals
• Evaluate and recommend improvements in line with sector benchmarks and wider market

Performance management:

• Coordinate annual review processes
• Help design and implement new performance management tools to create a high-performing organisation
• Assist with talent management and propose and help implement performance improvement programmes

HRIS Administration:

• Responsible for maintaining and leading administration of HRIS
• Provide reports to Head of HR and senior managers on teams and departments
• Monitoring and use of data analytics to identify interventions

Information management & communications:

• Ensure records are maintained in accordance with GDPR/data protection legislation
• Maintain records for all types of leave, providing monthly management reports

Health & Safety:

• Contribute to implementing, and ensuring the application of, policies, regulations, and standards relating to occupational health and safety
• Oversee and monitor sickness absence management
• Provide Family Liaison and Critical Incident Team support.

EDI:

• Work closely with the EDI Lead to provide leadership and support to the EDI team and colleagues across the organisation
• Help instil a culture of EDI at ShelterBox
• Manage and implement the EDI Action plan
• Identify opportunities internally and externally for EDI support and best practice
• Implement EDI best practice across the HR work at ShelterBox
• Provide EDI update communications to staff
• Help to coordinate EDI training and event support

Continuous Professional Development:

• Commit to CPD, especially legislative and best practice developments within HR and EDI, and those elements required for continued membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development

Other responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Buckinghamshire Service for you to join a dynamic team committed to supporting children and young people who have been affected by someone else’s drug and/or alcohol use. The role of a Children and Family Worker will support children and young people under the age of 18 on a one-to-one basis in a confidential space. The role will deliver a wide range of interventions/ education though activities, such as games, arts and crafts and emotional wellbeing resources. The role will utilise a young person-centred approach, empowering them to explore situations which they feel they have little control over to support them to lead a safe, happy, and healthy life.

The role will work in partnership and liaise with other young people services throughout Buckinghamshire, to provide holistic support to young people accessing the service. We need to record information about what we do, so enjoying a bit of admin work and attention to detail is important, but most of the time you’ll be enjoying working with young people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives. You will be required to work flexibly across operational sites as required so must hold a full UK driving license and have access to a car. Don’t worry, there is a wide array of training and development opportunities to help support you in your work.

About the role: 

• To holistically support CYP affected by parental substance misuse, using a range of interventions including group work, 1:1 work, whole family interventions, safety planning and safeguarding working closely and proactively with the family unit to support positive and sustainable outcomes.
• Identify families in conjunction with other agencies, who will benefit from a Think Family / Whole family approach, negotiating participation and engagement with the programme of care.
• Identifying and responding effectively to potential safeguarding issues. 
• Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to young people and the wider community. 
• Working with young people to support positive, holistic outcomes in relation to their health and wellbeing, enabling them to lead safe, healthy, and purposeful lives: reducing risk and increasing resilience 
• Working flexibly across sites where required

About you: 

• Experience of working with young people and knowledge of the issues they face 
• Knowledge of safeguarding concerns in relation to children and young people and the Fraser Competence framework 
• Have an excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field 
• Knowledge of working with evidence-based practice around young people’s substance misuse treatment services and methods, including relevant best practice guidance 
• An accomplished communicator, both verbal and written with a high degree of personal IT competency 
• Be able to accurately update and maintain records and to work to deadlines for the submission of information, e.g., reports 
• Have excellent team working and interpersonal skills, maintaining a highly cooperative approach to supporting colleagues in delivering service objectives
