We are looking for a proactive and people centred Volunteer Services Partner to be the bridge between potential volunteers and the vital work EACH does.

As one of three Volunteer Services Partners, covering EACH volunteering across East Anglia, you will play a key role in shaping the volunteer experience – connecting passionate individuals with impactful and varied opportunities at EACH.

You will lead and administer the volunteer recruitment cycle across Suffolk, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workforce while providing essential support to the EACH colleagues who manage them.

What you’ll do:

• Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the full volunteer lifecycle—from initial enquiry to DBS checks, and training. Administer the recruitment of volunteers across EACH’s hospices, Help at Home service, retail stores and fundraising teams.
• Community & Partnership building: Develop strong links with community organisations, colleges, job centres and local groups to champion the benefits of volunteering with EACH.
• Supporting Volunteer Supervisors: Work closely with managers and supervisors (including Shop Managers) to offer guidance, best practice support and tools to help them manage their volunteer teams effectively.
• Engagement & Communications: Contribute content for volunteer newsletters, our intranet and support appreciation events that recognise and celebrate our volunteers' incredible contribution.
• Data & Administration: Maintain accurate records on our volunteer database (Cascade) and manage the central volunteer services inbox in collaboration with your fellow Volunteer Services Partners.

About You and the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic temporary Programmes Assistant to support the delivery of a busy and inspiring programme of events across the autumn and spring terms.

Working as part of a dynamic team, the successful candidate will help deliver a diverse portfolio of lectures, panel discussions, and other events. Our events programme connects people and ideas, broadcasting to audiences worldwide and showcasing the power of geography to shape our understanding of the world.

The role will involve providing administrative and logistical support to the Programmes team across all stages of event coordination, from setting up events in digital systems and managing bookings, through to delivery and ensuring a high-quality experience for both in-person and online audiences.

Salary and Benefits

This is a fixed term contract for six months. We welcome requests for flexible working arrangements, including hybrid and part time working. This is looked at on a case-by-case basis, balancing the Society’s needs with the successful candidate’s other commitments, to support a good work-life balance. The salary range for this post is £27,675 - £28,550 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. The post is based in Kensington, London.

The fire and rescue sector is undergoing a major transformation in how it defines, develops and assures professional competence. This role sits at the heart of that change. 

We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Competence Co‑ordinator to support delivery of the NFCC Competence Reform Programme—helping ensure that people across the sector have the right knowledge, skills and behaviours to keep communities safe. 

About this role 

Working closely with the NFCC Competence Programme Manager, you will play a critical role in coordinating and supporting the development of national competence frameworks, tools and guidance. 

You will collaborate with NFCC Hubs, fire and rescue services, and subject matter experts to translate the NFCC Model of Competence into practical, consistent and high‑quality outputs that can be used across the sector. 

This is a varied and hands‑on role combining programme coordination, stakeholder engagement and content development. 

Key Responsibilities

The RISE Team Leader will be a skilled independent domestic and sexual violence advocate who will oversee a small team of case and group workers as well as managing Helpline volunteers. She will be a qualified IDVA and ISVA or be willing to complete the accreditations in the first six months in post.

She will hold a caseload of her own and coordinate a team providing support and guidance through a range of interventions and support offers working closely with an experienced Manager and other Team Leaders. Together with their team they will build, maintain and create links to deliver survivor-focused, trauma aware/ responsive support to help survivors and their family to cope and recover.

They will be the lead on developing, implementing and coordinating the Helpline, Casework and Projects with day-to-day practice oversight of staff and volunteers. The Team Leader will work co-operatively and flexibly alongside RISE colleagues providing expert input and contributing to the effective running of the organisation as a whole.

We are a large-scale, unique and dynamic hospitality and charity project in the Northwest Highlands with strong philanthropic and community commitments. As our new gardens and food production areas expand both on island and on mainland, with new glasshouses, the recovery of historical agricultural grounds being added to our existing orchards, kitchen gardens and greenhouses, our Head of Gardens and Growing is looking to grow the gardens team.

We are looking for a gardener to join the team and help in producing food for our staff and guests in our tough but bountiful environment at 58°N, while maintaining an impeccable aesthetic centred round heritage, sympathetic materials and craft.

Our land management approach balances production, nature, and heritage, with an emphasis on using the land to build communities. We aim to deliver a year-round supply of fresh and preserved produce, while also fostering soil health and a mosaic of ecosystems blurring the boundaries of productive gardens and wild spaces. This is a core role in the garden team and will involve working closely with the kitchen, land and guest teams, charitable beneficiaries and volunteers, and of course many hours wrestling with our challenging climate and peaty soil.

GROWTH

We are looking for a professional horticulturist: a confident organic gardener, ideally with an interest in agroecological, no-till and regenerative growing principles and potentially in horticultural therapy.  As well as being accomplished in gardening especially vegetable production growing, a strong part of the role will be facilitating guests, school groups and volunteers. There will be many opportunities for training and professional development. The salary for this role will be £29-37k per annum, depending on experience.

COMMUNITIES

Our team is diverse, driven, and hails from across the country and further afield. We have our own growing island community of staff, guests and volunteers, while also being embedded in mainland life in nearby crofting townships and villages. We are recruiting one full time permanent Funding Officer in Yorkshire and the Humber. Funding Officers in these roles will primarily be part of a Yorkshire and the Humber regional team delivering our Reaching Communities programme, with opportunities to be involved with other programmes and aspects of the Fund’s wider operations as they arise. As a Funding Officer for the National Lottery Community Fund you will be integral to supporting the organisation to deliver our strategy It Starts With Community.  

These roles will contribute to ensuring that vital funding reaches communities and projects who need it most in our region. As a Funding Officer you will work as part of our Yorkshire and the Humber regional team, working day-to-day alongside fellow Funding Officers, supported by a Funding Manager.

We are looking for people who will work across the region, with a focus on developing relationships and being a key point of contact for West Yorkshire​

Ideally (but not essentially) you will live in West Yorkshire and have good knowledge of the local area.

The Funding Officer role is classed as mobile working which means you will be expected to work from Fund offices, from home as well as conduct visits across the region. The Yorkshire & Humber regional office is in Leeds.

• You will assess applications for funding and manage grants using local knowledge, best practice and thematic expertise and you will harness the experience of customers and stakeholders to improve our grant making and inform our decision making.

• Being responsible for a pipeline of projects you will need to understand and respond to the different needs of our customers by providing advice and considered feedback and be willing to have challenging but constructive conversations.

• You will ensure that both grant management and application assessment play an effective part in contributing to the Fund’s knowledge and learning as a grant maker. You will manage your own caseload, liaise with grant recipients, undertake project visits, identify and manage risk, support organisations to meet their grant requirements and measure their impact.

• You will be an active and integral member of the Yorkshire & the Humber regional team, as well as the wider Northern hub, England Portfolio and Fund. You will contribute your skills, knowledge and expertise to a range of work and programmes as need arises. Within an organisation and sector experiencing on-going change, an agile & flexible approach to the role will be essential for success.
   
• You will represent the Fund, including at funding fairs and external meetings, creating opportunities for people to come together. You will share learning from your role with other colleagues so that we can maximise our impact.
   
• You will need to work within the Fund’s policies and procedures and relevant legislation, and in a way that is in line with our vision and values.

The role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with partner organisations, supporting firms throughout their participation in the Suicide Prevention Action Lab (SPAL) programme, and ensuring they remain motivated, accountable, and on track to deliver their commitments.

We’re bringing together six representatives from financial services firms to explore ways to improve support for customers experiencing suicidality. The Partnerships Officer will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the SPAL, working closely with participating firms to assist them in developing, testing, and implementing practical changes to help prevent suicidality. 

The Partnerships Officer will manage relationships with multiple firms simultaneously, each at a different stage in their journey to testing and embedding new and improved approaches to identifying and supporting customers experiencing or at risk of suicidality. Success in the role requires excellent organisation, persistence, and relationship management skills, alongside the ability to understand the challenges and competing demands faced by participating firms and to support them in maintaining momentum and delivering results.
