Trustees, administrators, and grant officers from the full range of trusts, foundations and statutory funders (including family/private trusts, corporate foundations, National Lottery, NHS, local government), supporters, major donors, friends, and families of people with spinal cord injury, Back Up staff, volunteers, and trustees.

Alzheimer’s Research UK has established a number of high profile and strategic programmes of work and a large, growing portfolio of research funded through our response mode schemes over which help us advance our work towards a cure. We are now seeking an experienced Research Partnerships Manager to play a key role in driving forward our research strategy through effective collaboration with external research partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships that advance our work across the department. 

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Identify, build and maintain partnerships which will push progress for our research strategy;

Strategic Planning: 

· Develop a strategic approach to research partnerships, identifying the purpose and benefit for collaboration. 

· Contribute to the development of strategic plans by providing insights on potential partnerships that align. 

· Monitor industry trends and identify emerging opportunities for collaboration. 

Partnership Development: 

· Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with stakeholders aligned with organisational goals. Develop background intelligence on potential partners. 

· Collaborate with the Research, Policy and Communications teams to understand organisational priorities and develop partnership opportunities. 

Relationship Management: 

· Support building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential partners. Support the Leadership Team to maintain a network of partners. 

· Coordinate partnership activities to ensure internal alignment. 

Proposal Development: 

· Lead the development of partnership proposals, agreements, and contracts in collaboration with legal, finance, and research teams.

Performance Monitoring: 

· Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of strategic partnerships. 

· Regularly report on partnership outcomes to leadership. 

Interactions between Research and other ARUK Teams 

· Take part in working groups related to the wider priorities of ARUK. 

· Work closely with other teams to ensure that relevant research partnerships with other organisations are well-managed and communicated. 

What we are looking for:

· First Degree (or equivalent) in relevant biomedical science.

· Proven experience in strategic partnership development and management, preferably in the healthcare, research, or charity sector. 

· Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and partnerships simultaneously. 

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.

· Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Excellent team working skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with different audiences.

· Highly motivated.

Additional Information:

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals.  This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

Salary: Circa £43,000 per annum, plus benefits

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our fledgling Fundraising Team and develop a trust fundraising programme from the ground up.  We are looking for someone with experience in raising funds from trusts and foundations, who is an excellent communicator - spoken and written – and who can undertake research to effectively identify appropriate prospects.  You will help to develop our case for support and develop a suite of proposals and reports that will convey to funders what Parentkind does, what the parents and schools we work with want, and how we support them.  Attention to detail is key, as is the ability to manage your time and prioritise your work.

• A minimum of two years of experience in trust fundraising

ABOUT BLACK ROOTZ

Black Rootz is a multigenerational growing project providing opportunities for Black and racially minoritised people to grow food for themselves, their families and their communities. Black Rootz was established in 2019 by a collective of Black growers in Haringey who recognised the need to organise to challenge the deep inequalities in the growing and food systems. Over the past 5 years, Black Rootz has developed a holistic practice for Black and racially minoritised communities incorporating intergenerational knowledge transfer, increased access to land and food sovereignty, regenerative environmental practices and reduced food inequality.

Black Rootz has been incubated as a project within The Ubele Initiative since 2019. As an established name in the growing community, it is now building towards an independent future.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Project Manager is a new role that will provide hands on management capacity to Black Rootz. The role will bring experience and energy to support the delivery and continued development of the project’s core activities; the Community Growing Programme and a new workshop series. The Project Manager will take on a management position and, with support from Ubele, help the project to navigate decisions that will enable Black Rootz to achieve its overall social, environmental, and operational ambitions. 

The successful candidate will be central in Black Rootz’ journey towards a more independent and sustainable future.  Principle purpose of the post:

The Operations Manager will work closely with the Chief Executive supporting on contractual service delivery (including the management of risk), quality and improvement across the organisation and ensure quality services are provided. Donor Finance Cost and Pricing Manager - up to £51,000. London - Hybrid

For an International NGO operating in 40 countries worldwide, we are recruiting a Donor Finance Cost and Pricing Manager - Programme Design and Development. Reporting to the Senior Cost and Pricing Manager, this role will partner with the Programme Design and Development Team to secure new funding via first-class responses to country-level, multi-country, regional and global opportunities for donor funding. This role will support the team in ensuring overall quality of cost proposals and bid submissions while building capability of in-country support teams to create effective cost proposals and program budgets.

Main Duties:

• Develop Cost Proposals: Supporting the proposal development processes and coordinate the Donor cost proposal; reviewing budget templates and cost guidance for country programs, ensuring all Donor cost requirements are met. Travel to country programme to assist in budget building as required
• Manage Relationships: Coordinate with partners for the provision of budget guidelines and time-lines, review partner budget submissions ensuring standards are maintained. Ensure handover from proposal stage to securing a project is managed effectively
• Create and distribute information packs for partners with supporting financial information. Train country Programmes in the use of proposal templates and develop tools and processes for developing proposals and budgets
• Support the Donor Forecast and Pipeline Development Project Manager with reports and analysis

This role is part of a small Finance team that supports the work of Headway - the brain injury association. The role is line managed by the Finance Manager and liaises with every team within the organisation.

What you will do

As a Senior Finance Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of the purchase and sales ledgers for both the charity and retail company, supporting colleagues, and resolving queries from suppliers and customers. You will monitor the purchase invoice mailbox and online purchase invoice accounts, ensuring that all invoices are downloaded promptly and passed on to relevant colleagues for authorisation.

You will be responsible for recording all purchase and sales invoices on our accounts system, Exchequer and ensuring that all bank transactions are entered on a timely basis. You will also be responsible for preparing and entering key monthly journals, including but not limited to charity and retail income, charity merchandise sales, depreciation, credit card expenditure, pre-paid rent and service charges. The majority of this work will use our Excel linked auto-loaders, but some manual entry will also be required.

You will complete monthly supplier account reconciliations and be responsible for raising any concerns or discrepancies with the Finance Manager.

You will maintain the stock system for the online merchandise shop, updating it with new stock and prices, using the information from the system to create the monthly cost of sales journal.

The Senior Finance Officer will work with the Finance Manager to ensure that all monthly and month-end routines are completed in line with team and organisational deadlines and complete any other finance tasks that may be required.
