Age UK Waltham Forest is leading Waltham Forest Loved and Wanted Alliance, which includes a mosque, church, synagogue, foodbank, Chinese and Albanian groups. The Alliance will support people to make meaningful relationships across divides of race, faith, age and wealth. We are now recruiting a Loved and Wanted Organiser who will make our programme of Loved and Wanted activities happen.

This post will organise the Alliance’s programme of events, supporting all Alliance member organisations to contribute. The post-holder will also support the Alliance Steering Group in developing and overseeing the programme, and undertake all monitoring and evaluation. 

You will need to combine outstanding organisational and communication skills with an in-depth understanding of the needs of different faiths, ethnic groups and communities, and the barriers which exist to keep those groups apart. Speaking one of the following language is not essential, but it would be desirable: Urdu, Punjabi, Cantonese, Mandarin, Albanian, Fillipino.

This project forms part of the Mayor of London’s Loved and Wanted campaign, launched in 2025, celebrating the strength and diversity of London’s communities, reinforcing the message that all Londoners are loved, valued, and welcome - regardless of background. The Mayor of London and The National Lottery Community Fund have committed £1.8m over three years to build a London-wide network of venue-based community spaces across the capital.

We are looking for an inspiring and experienced Head of Fundraising and Development to join our team at Dalgarno Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about fundraising, communications, and making a real difference in the community.

Based in North Kensington, Dalgarno Trust is a vibrant community centre supporting local residents of all ages through health, wellbeing, education, training, and youth programmes. As the only community centre in this part of the borough, we play a vital role in bringing people together, tackling inequality, and strengthening community resilience.

As Head of Fundraising and Development, you will be a key member of our Core Team, working closely with the Chief Executive to secure and manage the resources that enable our work. This is a varied and hands-on role combining fundraising, CRM management, marketing and communications, and organisational administration, offering the opportunity to make a visible and lasting impact.

You will lead on researching and writing funding bids, managing relationships with funders, and ensuring that monitoring, evaluation, and reporting requirements are met. You will oversee and develop our CRM system (Salesforce), ensuring high-quality data, producing reports, and supporting colleagues through training. You will also play a central role in diversifying income through donations, sponsorships, commercial activity, and use of our assets.

Alongside fundraising, you will lead our marketing, communications, and promotion, keeping our website, social media, and noticeboards up to date, and ensuring our work is clearly and effectively communicated to the wider community. The role also includes administrative and HR support, such as assisting with recruitment processes, timesheets, training coordination, and ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations and best practice.

This role is critical in ensuring Dot Dot Dot’s property offer meets market demand, business needs, and our social mission.

You will manage key parts of the property product lifecycle - from defining value propositions and preparing properties for launch, through to marketing, viewings, and quality control. Working closely with Marketing and Services teams, you’ll help ensure our properties are well‑positioned, well‑presented, and successfully filled.

This is a varied, hands‑on role combining strategic thinking with operational delivery, and desk‑based work with regular visits to properties. You’ll be supported in role by our senior marketing coordinator and head of marketing and business development.

The fundamentals of the role

Marketing and sales enablement

• Develop property messaging, value propositions, and supporting materials.
• Ensure each property has strong visual assets, including photography, video, and written content.
• Create and maintain property information sheets for internal and external use.
• Coordinate property‑related communications, including Mailchimp viewing emails and location‑based social media content.
• Work with the Marketing team to deliver campaigns, promotions, and go‑to‑market activity.

Viewings organisation and coordination

• Plan, schedule, and continuously improve the property viewings process.
• Supervise and support a small team of property viewing assistants (PVAs), including training, quality oversight, and timesheet approval.
• Ensure PVAs have accurate, up‑to‑date product information, sales guidance, and customer engagement support.
• Occasionally attend viewings to assess quality and gather feedback.

Go-to-market planning and execution

• Visit properties to understand condition, local context, and customer appeal.
• Support property launch planning, including pricing, audience targeting, and marketing tactics.
• Coordinate with Marketing to implement campaigns that attract high‑quality guardians.
• Track and report on the performance of property launches and viewings.
• Work cross‑functionally to ensure alignment between product, marketing, and service standards.

Product vision and positioning

• Support the definition and development of clear, compelling property value propositions.
• Ensure property products align with business objectives, customer needs, and market trends.
• Work with Marketing and Services to connect operational quality with external positioning.

Market and customer insight

• Research market needs, pricing, locations, and competitor activity.
• Develop and refine guardian personas to support effective targeting and communication.
• Share insights across the business to inform marketing, sales, and product decisions.
• Handle applicant information responsibly, ensuring personal data is recorded, stored and shared in line with GDPR requirements and Dot Dot Dot’s data protection policies.

Product lifecycle management

• Liaise with Services during property setup to ensure standards and product features are embedded from the outset.
• Oversee the property journey from setup through launch and occupation.
• Ensure properties are ready for viewings and occupancy through clear coordination and communication.

We are looking for a passionate and creative Head of Brand, Communications & Marketing to lead the next stage of our journey.

This is an exciting, strategic and hands‑on leadership role for someone who can confidently amplify our brand in the public sphere, drive meaningful engagement, and increase both supporter and beneficiary acquisition.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Director of Income Generation & Marketing and leading a small, high‑performing team, you will:

Brand, Communications & PR

• Lead and evolve Life’s brand strategy, ensuring clarity and consistency across all channels.
• Raise Life’s visibility with powerful campaigns that engage beneficiaries, supporters, volunteers and the public.
• Oversee media relations, PR activity, reputation management and crisis communications.
• Support and strengthen internal communications across the organisation.

Marketing Leadership

• Develop innovative marketing strategies that grow reach, impact and sustainability.
• Drive supporter and beneficiary acquisition through targeted, insight‑led campaigns.
• Use data, analytics and performance metrics to continuously improve marketing effectiveness.
• Provide inspiring leadership and development to the Marketing & Comms Team.

Digital Strategy

• Lead Life’s digital marketing approach, including SEO, paid social, PPC, email, content and inbound marketing.
• Create effective user journeys and optimise conversion rates through testing and analytics.
• Oversee engaging social media content and paid advertising campaigns.
• Ensure high‑quality digital design, content, and brand guardianship.

Website & Content

• Support the development of Life’s website, focusing on optimisation, content quality and user experience.
• Oversee high‑quality storytelling that reflects Life’s values and mission.

About You

You’ll be a confident, creative and strategic leader who brings:

• At least 5 years’ experience in digital marketing, communications or brand roles (charity sector experience desirable).
• Proven experience developing and delivering brand, digital and communications strategies.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing trends, analytics and audience insight.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing budgets and leading a team.
• A warm, values‑driven approach aligned with Life’s mission of humanity, solidarity, community and compassion.

Salary: £40,000 – £44,000 per annum

Hours: 35 hours per week (part time considered)

• Support people affected by cancer through personalised care planning 

• Connect individuals to voluntary and community sector support 

• Build strong relationships with partners and clinical teams 

• Support and supervise volunteers 

• Help develop local referral pathways and increase the service’s reach 

• Maintain accurate data and contribute to monitoring and evaluation

This role works with the Church Engagement Manager to create multiple points of connection for UK Churches and church-based volunteers to engage with BMS and with our story of mission. It will create and maintain relationships with churches and key Baptist leaders to help ensure they recognise BMS as an organisation which can take them deeper in their understanding of mission and global transformation.   

For this role, knowledge of BMS’ supporter base, experience of the evangelical aspects of BMS’ mission and full support of its missionary work are crucial. 

We are seeking an individual with the following experience and skills:

• Communication and interpersonal skills: You will be a confident speaker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build meaningful relationships between BMS and leaders across BMS-supporting churches.
• Christian ministry: You have significant insight into the Christian ministry and experience working with churches including Baptist Churches.
• Passion: You have a global vision, a heart for mission, and a passion for the role of the UK church in a growing world church.
• Strategic planning: You are a strategic thinker capable of developing and implementing a plan for our approach to Church engagement and volunteer development.
• Safeguarding knowledge: You have proven knowledge of up-to-date safeguarding processes and their application.

Location: This role can be office-based or hybrid but the role holder must be based in the United Kingdom, with regular UK travels

We are happy to appoint a candidate who lives too far from Didcot to attend the office regularly if they are willing to attend key events such as induction days and team away days (typically 4 times per year). The cost of travel to BMS Didcot whether on a regular basis or infrequently, would be borne by the employee.
