Purpose of the Senior Community Fundraising Officer role:
As Senior Community Fundraising Officer, the successful candidate will play an integral role in overseeing all income generation via community fundraising. What we are looking for in our Senior Community Fundraising Officer:

At least 2 years’ experience of working in a professional fundraising role.

Experience of managing a portfolio of fundraising events for community fundraising.

Blue Marine Foundation is seeking an experienced and reliable Communications Officer to join the busy communications and outreach department of an ambitious and dynamic ocean conservation charity whose mission is to restore the ocean to health. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact in leading communications for the Solent Seascape Project : a five-year, multi-million-pound conservation project delivered by a partnership of ten organisations. The Role
As an experienced campaign manager and copy-writer, you will support the Experience team to develop and deliver marketing approaches and journey communications, primarily for beneficiary and health/social care professional audiences. Job Purpose
Your legacy will be a tangible impact on slowing down climate change and helping nature recover by providing operational support to help Avon Needs Trees (ANT) to achieve its goals to plant hundreds of thousands of trees and enhance complementary habitats.
You will join a fast-growing organisation that started in 2019 with four volunteers and has grown to a staff team of thirteen (which will double over 2024), over 1,000 volunteers and ownership of 170 acres (soon to be 600 acres) of land that will grow woodlands of over 160,000 trees.
We are looking for a positive and organised person with strong operational and administrative skills to help take ANT prepare for exponential growth over the next year.
Main responsibilities
● Supporting the Head of People and Operations with operational tasks (including safeguarding, health and safety), HR functions (including recruitment) and office management

We are looking for an experienced relationship fundraiser to join our small team and help us engage with, and fundraise from, membership organisations, special interest groups and community groups across Britain and Ireland.
The role may be either fully remote or Hybrid with a London Office location depending on the location of the candidate

We’re looking for a Senior Community Engagement Officer, to engage key partners and community leaders around the UK, to ensure our services are accessible to communities and to raise awareness of bowel cancer.
You’ll develop strong, lasting relationships with different communities in specific locations across the UK and build trust in Bowel Cancer UK as a charity supporting everyone affected by or at risk of bowel cancer. You’ll work closely with our staff on the ground around the UK and our service delivery teams, promoting the support we offer as well as feeding back insights from different communities around the accessibility and appropriateness of our services. This role requires resilience, the ability to work as part of a team independently and involves significant travel around the UK.

The Role:
As a Local Growth Officer, you will play a vital role in helping Counties and Districts achieve their growth ambitions. You will be collaborating with local volunteers and the Growth & Communities team to foster the engagement of young people from lower-income communities and those from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic families. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead a team through a period of change, foster a culture of high performance, and drive data-driven fundraising initiatives.
Main responsibilities:
- Utilise local knowledge to contribute to the development of inclusive Growth Plans.
- Identify opportunities for growth within local communities, working closely with lead volunteers.
- Provide regular progress reports and support volunteers in creating sustainable growth plans.
- Assist in the retention and recruitment of adult volunteers for new sections.
- Collaborate with colleagues to showcase best practices in opening groups in underrepresented communities.
- Represent the organisation within Counties and Districts, contributing to the national growth debate.
- Plan, promote and implement growth initiatives and projects.
Essential requirements:
- Experience with volunteer organisations and community engagement.
- Understanding of diverse communities and their needs.
- Proficiency in digital platforms for workshops and events.
- Experience working with young people aged 10+.<
- Confident public speaker and skilled at presenting ideas and information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-starter with spotless organisational and time management skills.
- Full UK driver's licence.
- Able to work some evenings and weekends.

Our Support Line Officers may not be counsellors or medically trained, but they are dedicated to delivering a professional service and providing reassurance during difficult times. Whilst this role can at times, be challenging due to the nature of the calls, the fulfilment that comes from making a positive impact on someone's life makes this role incredibly rewarding.
In this role, you will:
- Respond to a variety of enquiries from individuals affected by terminal illness, as well as their families, friends, or professionals. These inquiries may range from practical matters concerning finances or legal arrangements to accessing Marie Curie services, as well as emotional concerns such as grief and loss.
- Utilise the resources available through the Marie Curie Information and Support Service, along with other trusted sources primarily online, you will address inquiries, gather information, and direct individuals to the support they require. This may involve communication via phone, web chat, and other channels, as well as moderating our online community and undertaking additional project work to enhance our service.
- Apply relevant safeguarding procedures when required, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the individuals contacting the helpline.
- Accurately record information into the database, ensuring data quality and date protection guidelines.
What we are looking for:
- You need to have excellent communication skills, a warm heart and a caring and compassionate soul.
- A genuine interest in helping others, you are patient, adaptable and know how to deliver an excellent customer experience.
- This role can be challenging at times, if you are patient, resilient and a great listener, you will excel in this role.
- Whilst this role will see you spend a considerable amount of time on the phone, there is also an administrative element, so a background in office administration would certainly be beneficial.
- Ideally you will come from a charity, health or social care background or have demonstrable customer service experience from another industry (such as a contact centre)
- Experience in a customer care / helpline or telephone support role is beneficial.
