This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Fundraising and Development team on a fixed-term basis.

The Head of Corporate Partnerships (Maternity Cover) will work alongside the Strategic Director of Fundraising and Development to lead and further develop the strategic plan for corporate fundraising at the Playhouse. They will also lead the day-to-day running of the activities that fall within this key component of the Fundraising and Development department.

The Head of Corporate Partnerships (Maternity Cover) will be part of a small team and receive some admin support from the Development Administrator.

Corporate sector fundraising includes planning, developing and managing campaigns to meet agreed income targets for income from businesses, managing and delivering agreed benefits, and maintaining key Playhouse partnerships with the corporate sector.

This is a full-time, fixed-term contract of 35 hours per week for around 12 months, depending on available start date. Working pattern will vary with some flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required. Pay for this role is £30,600 per year. The Community Table Coordinator plays a key role in delivering Shoreditch Trust’s community food and wellbeing activities, including Community Table lunch programme, Recipes of Life courses, Flavours of Home, and other food-based programmes.

The role will combine practical cooking and food preparation skills with the ability to facilitate engaging, inclusive and enjoyable group sessions. They will help create welcoming community spaces where people can connect, learn new skills, improve their wellbeing and build relationships.

Working alongside the We Connect team, volunteers and community partners, the role will support participants from diverse backgrounds to take part in cooking, food-related activities and shared meals, while promoting healthy eating, independence and community participation.

Main Responsibilities

 

Programme Delivery

• Support the planning and delivery of Community Table lunches, cooking sessions, workshops and other food-related activities.
• Lead or co-facilitate engaging and inclusive group sessions that encourage participation, learning and social connection.
• Create a warm, welcoming and supportive environment for participants, volunteers and visitors.
• Adapt activities to meet the needs, interests and abilities of different groups, including older people, disabled people and other community members.
• Promote healthy eating, nutrition and practical cooking skills in accessible and engaging ways.
• Encourage participants to build confidence, share experiences and contribute their own ideas, recipes and skills.

 

Food Preparation and Kitchen Management

• Prepare and cook healthy, high-quality meals and refreshments for groups and community events.
• Work with clients, colleagues and volunteers to plan menus and recipes that are nutritious, culturally inclusive and cost-effective.
• Set up kitchens and workspaces for activities, ensuring they are clean, organised and safe.
• Ensure food is prepared, stored and served in accordance with food hygiene regulations and best practice.
• Manage ingredients, equipment and supplies, reporting shortages or maintenance issues as required.
• Assist with transporting food, equipment and supplies between venues where necessary.

 

Volunteer Support

• Welcome, support and encourage volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrate safe food preparation techniques and support volunteers to develop their confidence and skills.
• Provide guidance on the safe use of kitchen equipment and adherence to food hygiene standards.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure volunteers have a positive and rewarding experience.

 

Partnership and Community Engagement

• Build positive relationships with participants, community groups, voluntary organisations and statutory partners.
• Represent Shoreditch Trust positively within the community and help promote food programme activities.
• Gather participant feedback and contribute ideas to improve services and activities.
• Support the development of partnerships that strengthen the reach and impact of Shoreditch Trust's food programmes.

About You

What you will be doing

You will be responsible for developing and embedding strategies and programmes that help people across England to discover and connect with their heritage, increasing engagement with Historic England (HE) and the historic environment through our nationally important Archive collections and engagement programmes, which include learning (Heritage Schools), community engagement, inclusion grants and participation programmes (e.g. Blue Plaques).  Through the power of partnership, storytelling, capacity building and audience led approaches, you will lead your teams to unlock the power of heritage for people and places, embedding inclusive practice and centring social impact. 

Reporting to the Director of Communications and Engagement and working as part of the Communications and Engagement Leadership Team, you will help shape the direction of Historic England’s engagement and participation activity, ensuring our vision and mission are well understood and supported in society, and by key stakeholders.  As a member of the Corporate Leadership Team, you will work together with senior colleagues across Historic England to embed our strategic priorities for people and places, including delivery on government priorities and income generation opportunities.

Job Description

The Head of Delivery & Partnerships is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the 
successful implementation, quality of outcomes, and retention of DFN Project SEARCH programmes 
across the UK, the Republic of Ireland and Iberia, in line with our franchise agreement from Project 
SEARCH . This role leads the Delivery & Partnerships team, ensuring strategic alignment, excellence 
of delivery, and sustained impactful partnerships.
You will play a pivotal role in driving programme quality, ensuring retention, maintaining model 
fidelity, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for interns. Additionally, you will oversee the growth of 
our number of programmes, in line with our strategic regional and national plans. You will also 
contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation, working closely with cross-functional teams 
to maximise DFN Project SEARCH’s impact.
Regular travel throughout the UK will be required, with occasional travel to other areas of our delivery. 
In addition, occasional international travel may be required, for example to the annual conference in 
the United States.

Essential Experience and Skills

The varied role sits within the Volunteer Board Fundraising team which leads income generation through regional and national volunteer boards, volunteer-led fundraising initiatives and delivery of special events through our high value event committees.

Job purpose

• To contribute towards achieving the team’s objectives by providing event logistics, finance and admin support to the team.

About this job

The Head of Research enables successful delivery of the organisation’s ground-breaking Research Strategy. They will provide vital leadership, strategic direction and day to day management of the MS Society’s research programme as well as leadership of the Research Team.

This varied and exciting role also involves developing and maintaining strategically relevant partnerships, annual grant round, new research strategy and acting as a spokesperson for the MS Society as well as being a key ambassador – inspiring internal teams about the MS Society’s research programme.

Please note this is a part-time 14 hours per week position. This could be worked across either 2 or 3 days.

Relationship Fundraising Executive.

Salary: £25,805.57 per annum.

Location: Remote, must be based in the UK.

Working closely with fundraising, marketing, and supporter care colleagues, you'll develop meaningful relationships with supporters, provide personalised fundraising advice and encouragement, and create memorable experiences that inspire long-term support for Action for Children.

As part of a growing and ambitious team, you'll also contribute to the development of our wider challenge events portfolio, helping us identify opportunities to improve supporter experience, increase income, and grow participation across a range of nationally recognised events. Action for Children's challenge events portfolio includes flagship events such as the London Marathon, Great North Run, and a range of other popular challenge events throughout the year.

Experience of working with databases and handling financial and numerical information accurately is essential. You will be confident building and maintaining positive relationships with a range of people and will enjoy providing a high standard of service. Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities are all essential.

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and database systems, are also required.

Experience within the charity, not-for-profit or care sectors would be advantageous, as would experience of helping to achieve fundraising objectives and income targets.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

We are now recruiting the team that will deliver Crisis at Christmas 2026. This unique project mobilises a huge volunteering effort to provide warmth, companionship and vital services in temporary centres across London to people facing homelessness.

You will support with the recruitment and management of Crisis at Christmas volunteers and external partners to help deliver services, ensuring teams have all the information and equipment they need. This is a varied role including processing volunteer applications, creating comms materials, managing and communicating schedules, organising training, organising and setting up kit, ensuring our teams of specialists have the equipment and materials they need as well as getting stuck in and helping out directly once our centres open. 

This is great role to kickstart your career in the charity sector, as well as in project management or events roles.
