At MINDSET, we’re building a brand-new start-up for men’s mental wellbeing and personal growth across England and Wales. We’re ditching the "grey and clinical" look for something bold, modern, and high-impact. Now, we need a Volunteer Graphic Designer to give MINDSET the visual edge it deserves.

We’re looking for a creative powerhouse to take our brand and turn it into something men actually want to be part of—from digital campaigns to physical event gear.

The Mission:

• The Visual Storyteller: Create high-impact social media posts, info-graphics, and motion graphics that cut through the noise and tell the MINDSET story.
• The Campaign Builder: Design the assets for our Kickstart MINDSET fundraiser and our volunteer recruitment drives.

COMMUNICATIONS LEAD (VOLUNTEER)

About SUNSHINE

SUNSHINE is a NEW small but ambitious grassroots charity on a mission to reduce loneliness and help people feel truly seen, valued and connected. Every week, our volunteers will bring warmth, joy and human connection to people who feel isolated, overlooked or alone.

As we prepare for our public launch, we’re looking for a Communications Lead who can help us build excitement, visibility and movement‑energy around our brand. Someone who can turn our mission into stories, moments and messages that make people stop, feel, care — and get involved.

Your creativity won’t just shape our brand. It will help reach people who feel invisible. It will help volunteers find a place where they belong. It will help Londoners facing loneliness feel less alone.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Creating Buzz & Energy Around SUNSHINE

Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and visionary Brand and Digital Marketing Creative Lead to spearhead the visual identity and online presence of our organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative professional to take ownership of the brand across multiple channels, including social media, website design, and marketing collateral.

You will be at the forefront of shaping the way our organization connects with our audience, telling our story through engaging visuals, strategic messaging, and compelling campaigns. This role is ideal for someone looking to build an impressive portfolio and gain hands-on experience in comprehensive brand and digital marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a cohesive brand identity and logo that reflects the organisation’s values.

• Create and manage social media content to engage audiences.

• Design and maintain a website with an appealing layout and user-friendly experience.

• Produce marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, and digital assets.

• Collaborate on visual storytelling and share creative ideas to elevate the brand.

Skills & Abilities (No Prior Experience Required):

• Strong graphic design abilities (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma, or similar).

• Comfortable creating content for social media platforms.

• Website design/management skills (WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, or similar).

• Creative eye for visual storytelling and engaging design.

• Self-motivated and able to manage projects independently.

What we need from you

This is a highly flexible role, and you can choose how you’d like to get involved. Opportunities include:

• Face-to-face fundraising – organising or helping at fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, and monitoring collection tins
• Online fundraising – setting up online appeals and writing engaging cat case studies to maximise donations
• Marketing and promotion – spreading the word about fundraising activities via social media and local press
• Administration – processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, and completing Gift Aid paperwork
• Championing our work – helping to develop new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement
• Photography – capturing images of cats in care, cats we’re helping, fundraising events, and all things Cats Protection

Time commitment

This role is flexible and designed to fit around your other commitments. You’ll be part of a friendly team raising vital funds — and having fun along the way.
