We are looking to recruit a HOPELINE247 Manager to enable the delivery of an outstanding suicide prevention helpline, through the effective management of HOPELINE247 advisers, alongside promotion and development of the service. 

What you will do:

• Provide leadership, guidance, and effective line management to a team of suicide prevention advisers.

• Ensure a consistent and high-quality service is delivered through effective quality assurance processes.

• Managing staffing and resources effectively to ensure the efficient running of the helpline service.

• Risk assess and provide advice and guidance to the team, in relation to safeguarding matters, in line with policy and procedures.

• Provide ad hoc rota cover to support a range of clients via multi-channel communications adhering to HOPELINE247 remit at all times.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A proven track record of building and managing an effective team, supporting their development and managing their performance.

• Previous experience of building, developing and managing effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in the community, voluntary, statutory and political settings 

• Previous successful experience of working in suicide prevention or mental health

• Awareness of the issues around safeguarding and how these can affect young people and adults at risk.

• Degree level or professional qualification in Health, Nursing, Social Work, Community Work or related discipline

Salary:  £35,407 per annum (Scale point 29) progressing by increments to £38,051 per annum (Scale point 32). As a night shift worker, you will receive an additional allowance of £173.00 per month based on working 4 nights per week.

Hours:  33 hours per week

Working arrangements:  This role will work shifts starting at 10:25pm and finishing at 7:40am. Shifts will be on a rota bases across a 7-day working week.  33 hours will be based upon working 4 nights shifts per week.

Key Responsibilities

Oversight of the Spear Programme

Spear Foundation is a 4-week initial phase, consisting of 2 group sessions plus a 1:1 with each trainee per week, in which we coach young people around skills and mindsets to support them in returning to work or education, and equip them with the skills to stay there. ​

• Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Assistant Coach.
• Oversee all aspects of the programme coordination and delivery.
• Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report to Resurgo and the church on enrolment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees, as well as their ongoing progress.

Partnership liaison and relationship management

• Build and implement a strategy for developing and maintaining relationships with local referral partners to build the profile of the Spear programme within Ipswich and ensure the young people who would benefit from the programme are able to access it.
• Steward relationships with young people after initial point of contact, to encourage enrolment and ensure a full cohort is enrolled for each programme.

Line management and training

• Manage the Spear Assistant Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development.
• Work with and be managed by Citizen Church staff locally, and by a Church Partnerships Manager from Resurgo on a national level, to ensure the flourishing of the Spear centre, its team and young people, and to ensure the fulfilment of our shared mission in Ipswich.
• Work with and report to Resurgo teams on KPIs, and use outcomes data to maximise the effectiveness of the programme.

Supporting River Church’s mission and ministry

• Establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement of church members and to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme.
• Work with the Head of Operations and the Fundraising Assistant to prepare grant funding applications for Spear Ipswich, and provide timely grant reporting.
• Keep the Citizen Church congregation updated on the Spear programme to ensure it is a seamless part of the church’s missional work.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Business Support Manager to support the delivery of our new five year Strategic Plan.

This exciting new role will act as the bridge between our Operations and Central Services. Background (Summary)

Enhance is the newly funded VCSE infrastructure support service in Redcar and Cleveland made possible through the collaboration of a number of funders to fill a gap in local provision. 

Lloyds Bank Foundation, Rank Foundation, Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, Tees Foundation and the Woodsmith Foundation have provided three years of funding and commissioned MVDA to develop and deliver a VCSE infrastructure service (Enhance) in Redcar and Cleveland.

Enhance will provide practical support to VCSE organisations based in the Redcar and Cleveland area who deliver services to local people and communities. 

The service model for Enhance is based on three key areas:

Improvement – Providing practical support through an information and advice service.  This will include for example advice on governance, funding, policy and practice

Growth - The development and delivery of a comprehensive training programme for all VCSEs in Redcar and Cleveland

Influence - Work to support the building and development of relationships; collaborative work across the VCSE sector and cross-sector partnerships

The Community Centre Manager will play a key role in the leadership and smooth running of The Edward Woods centre, managing change, growth and performance as agreed with the CEO. Duties and Responsibilities

Management of the Community Centre

• Manage the operations of the Community Centre, its staff and the development and delivery of activities and facilities in line with the business and strategic plan.

• Ensure compliance with employment law and that we follow good practice regarding HR.

Edward Woods Community Centre has a small team of employees, tenants, volunteers and a

wide range of activities. it is expected that the post holder will be flexible in assisting in areas of work which go beyond their main duties. In particular, the holder of this post will be expected to assist with covering frontline reception and administrative duties and attendance at and/or supervision of events outside of normal working hours.

Overall responsibility of the job: Sharing responsibility,for the oversight of the Foodbank processes of Bristol North West Foodbank to ensure it runs effectively, providing support for the Senior Foodbank Manager where necessary, managing staff, ensuring compliance with appropriate guidance and legislation, and carrying out public relations activities. 

Work in association with Foodbank Managers, Staff and Volunteers to ensure clients receive a streamlined service of support with food and other provisions. 

Building Church Engagement through talks and linking with Church Ambassadors.

Specific responsibilities: 

Reporting to Senior Foodbank Manager 

·Provide support to the Senior Manager to ensure that referrals are dealt with effectively and clients receive the support they need 

·Update the Senior Manager with regular reports on issues 

·Deal with any concerns regarding the day-to-day operation of the Bristol North West foodbank

Church & Community Outreach

·Preparing material to be used in events to raise the profile and work of Bristol North West Foodbank 

·Helping the Senior Manager to organise prayer/worship and fundraising events 

·Carry out talks at schools, community groups and businesses 

·Preaching on occasional Sundays or evening groups at our link churches in a variety of denominational settings, to support the Senior Manager

·Encouraging local churches in their social justice ministries 

·Linking with Church Ambassadors to build church engagement.

·Overseeing relationships with referral agencies, meeting with them and troubleshooting.

Staff management & Recruitment

·Manage Foodbank admin staff who deal with Foodbank and Homebank referrals 

·Manage Warehouse Co-ordinator 

·Support staff with client relations and decision making 

·Carry out reviews with allocated staff across the Foodbank 

·Leading prayer with Foodbank volunteer teams 

·Troubleshooting HR issues in conjunction with the Senior Manager

·Support the Senior Manager with recruitment of new staff by producing recruitment material, dealing with applications, and carrying out interviews. 

·Preparing new staff inductions and inducting new members of staff. 

Compliance 

·Ensure processes and procedures are followed as per The Trussell Foodbank Operating Manual 

·Write new and update existing policies and procedures to align with Trussell Trust and other compliance requirements such as Health and Safety and Safeguarding. 

·Undertake risk assessments across the Foodbank, supporting the Warehouse Coordinator with risk assessments in the warehouse and Foodbank outlets. 

Safeguarding 

·Supporting staff and volunteers with safeguarding reporting and referrals

Change Grow Live is looking for a 9-months fixed term Business Development Manager (Commissioned Rehabilitative Services) to join our dynamic, high-performing, national Business Development Team and lead our response to this exciting national opportunity.

Full Time Salary: £52,221 - £57,786 (pro-rata). If you’re based in London and regularly travel to the office, you’ll receive an additional £4,072.06 per year (pro-rata)

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

The role

CGL’s Business Development Team is a large national team. This role will sit within a smaller specialist services sub-team, who have responsibility for retaining existing specialist contracts and winning new business opportunities.

This new fixed-term role will be responsible for leading all business development activities related to the upcoming national Commissioned Rehabilitative Services (CRS) opportunity.

You will work collaboratively with operational and central support colleagues to: develop service delivery models; form national, local, and regional partnerships; lead budgeting; and manage the writing of multiple concurrent tenders.

You will have the opportunity to visit and engage with our staff and service users across the country to learn about our services and specific local needs and challenges.

Ultimately you will play a key role in the design, development and delivery of our services and will help us to deliver on our organisational mission, strategy and values.

About you

You’ll be an experienced manager and leader, with a proven track record in securing and retaining contracts and leading and managing complex tenders in the criminal justice field or services closely aligned to criminal justice. 

You’ll be a confined and highly competent communicator and have proven experiencing of developing national and local partnerships.

You’ll be an excellent writer, with experience of writing tenders, bids and proposals for national procurement processes.

You will have excellent IT skills, be highly numerate and be able to analyse and work with complex data and financial information.
