About the role

The UK government’s resettlement programmes (such as the UKRS, ARAP as well as other UK Resettlement Schemes) support refugees who are selected and processed in the region of origin and brought to the UK with their status already determined. Under this scheme, a specific quota of refugees will be coming to the UK for resettlement.

The Refugee Council resettlement team provides advice and support for resettled refugees to help them adjust to live in the UK, access services and mainstream provision and establish community links. Working closely with local stakeholders and in partnership with other voluntary sector agencies running similar services, the Refugee Council resettlement team promotes both the integration and independence of this group. This post will work with refugees at different stages of the resettlement programme including those who have newly arrived and others who have lived in the UK for up to 5 years.

The Refugee Council has agreed to work in partnership with Migration Yorkshire and Local Authorities across Yorkshire and Humberside to deliver the regional programme. The post holder will be working from the Leeds office covering Wakefield, York and North Yorkshire and will report to the Area Managers.

Contract: Fixed term until March 2026.

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week.

• To provide a safe and welcoming environment for refugees ensuring that standards are maintained, monitored and that the service meets all statutory and contractual requirements.
• To provide advice and support in line with individual client support plans in relation to accessing statutory, voluntary and mainstream services. This includes education (schools and colleges), welfare benefits, housing and health services.
• To assist refugees who may be in a confused or distressed state in understanding systems in the UK and become familiar with their local environment.

The Prison Phoenix Trust

The PPT are the leading experts in yoga and meditation in prisons in the UK and Ireland. Since 1988 we have supported the personal development and rehabilitation people living in prison through meditation and yoga. We do this through 121 mentoring, group yoga classes, peer support newsletters and resources such as books and DVDs that help people practise yoga and meditation in their cells. We deliver the British Wheel of Yoga’s accredited training Teaching Yoga in Prison.

A small staff and volunteer team based in Oxford works with a network of self-employed yoga and meditation teachers across the UK and Ireland.

This new role is part of an expansion of the staff team to build the capacity of the charity to meet the growing demands for its services and the income to support this.

The role

At an exciting time for the expansion of the charity’s fundraising activities, the Development Coordinator will play a pivotal role in driving and expanding the charity’s income from individual donors while leading the development and execution of community fundraising initiatives and events. This role is pivotal in building and nurturing long-term relationships with individual donors, cultivating new donor prospects, and developing innovative community engagement strategies, working with The PPT’s Development Lead.

The ideal candidate will be an energetic and passionate professional with expertise in donor relations, event management, and community fundraising. They will be skilled at creating impactful experiences that inspire both individual and collective action, making a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.

Responsibilities

1. Individual Fundraising
Innovate and implement a donor acquisition strategy appropriate for the values of The PPT.

• Implement an audience segmentation approach to building individual, regular and legacy giving, drawing on accurate analysis of data, using The PPT’s Access database.
• Project manage delivery of quarterly postal appeals including segmentation and targeting of messaging, mail-merge and printing, dispatch by volunteers or mailing house.
• Email marketing, including use of Mailchimp to segment audiences and target messages.
• Optimise The PPT’s use of JustGiving and other fundraising platforms, regularly reviewing performance.
• Optimise fundraising functionality of The PPT’s website and support colleagues in the development and procurement of a new website.

2. Community fundraising

• Manage and plan the growth of The PPT’s community fund raising activities, with a particular focus on yoga groups and faith groups.
• Review and develop cost-effective levels of support for fundraisers.

3. Donor care:

• Manage relationships with current and prospective donors and fundraisers by ensuring timely acknowledgment of gifts.
• Refine use of automated systems, such as Mailchimp and JustGiving to automate acknowledgement of gifts where appropriate, while ensuring optimum levels of personalisation, such as hand-written cards and notes.  Fulfil established donor journeys, ensuring donor led and annual stewardship is met.

4. Data management, analysis and reporting

• Maintain and update The PPT’s supporter database, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.  Initially using Access and adapt with the move to a new database/CRM programme.
• Track, monitor and report quarterly on results of FR activities
• Support colleagues in the development and procurement of a new database and/or customer relationship management system.

5. Event Coordination

• Plan and project manage delivery of The PPT’s public facing, fundraising and donor stewardship events including planning, promotion, logistics, and follow-up.
• Integrate donor care into event planning, ensuring that donors feel personally valued and appreciated before, during, and after events.
• Work with Communications Coordinator in producing printed and display materials for events.
• Plan and project-manage delivery of The PPT’s presence at networking events for example in yoga, faith and criminal justice communities.

6. Communications and Marketing

• Contribute to development of social media audiences to meet charity’s profile-raising and fundraising objectives.
• Craft compelling messages and content for supporter communications that highlight The PPT’s mission and impact.

• Proven fundraising experience, especially in individual giving (e.g., regular giving, legacies, donor stewardship, direct mail, online fundraising
• Knowledge of best practices and ethical standards in fundraising, with a strong focus on donor care

Job Summary

We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking finance leader to play a central role in shaping the future of the finance team at St John Ambulance. Reporting to the Finance Director (who reports directly to the CEO), this is a high-impact position at the heart of our finance transformation journey—ideal for a self-motivated, qualified accountant who thrives on change and making an impact.

As a senior leader within the organisation, you’ll be instrumental in driving the evolution of our finance function, leading and developing a large, multi-disciplinary team. You’ll oversee the delivery of timely, accurate management accounts and play a key role in providing high-quality financial reporting to our Trustees and Finance Committee. You'll also take the lead on our statutory audited accounts, acting as the principal contact for both internal and external auditors.

About You

• Educated to degree level with a full professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Significant post-qualification experience (PQE) in senior financial accounting roles, with strong technical expertise.
• Proven track record in producing annual statutory accounts and successfully managing external audit processes.
• Extensive experience leading and developing large finance teams within complex organisations, driving performance and accountability.

About the Role

• Lead statutory and management reporting: Oversee the production of audited statutory financial statements and timely completion of the external audit. Ensure best practice in external financial reporting and take full responsibility for the accuracy and delivery of monthly management accounts.
• Own cash flow and balance sheet management: Lead the preparation of the charity’s monthly rolling cash flow forecast and ensure full ownership of the balance sheet, including timely and accurate reconciliations.
• Strengthen financial controls and working capital: Ensure effective financial processes and controls within transactional teams to manage working capital and drive continuous improvement in financial operations.
• Oversee compliance and tax: Identify, manage and control financial risks, including tax compliance. Provide expert technical accounting advice and ensure the charity remains fully compliant in all taxation matters, including VAT and gift aid.
• Drive counter fraud and governance improvements: Act as the financial lead for the charity’s control environment and counter fraud framework. Champion improvements in fraud awareness, culture, and control.

• Build strong and effective local and regional relationships encouraging organisations and groups across different sectors to get involved with our community grants programme and explore ways to give and make a positive difference to the people they engage with

About the role

Each of the Support Network Coordinators have the responsibility for delivering, maintaining, and expanding the support services available to spinal cord injured (SCI) people and their region of the UK.

The post coordinates two vital parallel strands:

1. In your region, to reach and support newly and long-term spinal cord injured people and their families developing a strong partnership with all available specialist services, charity and business partners; managing a dedicated team of volunteers as well as providing direct support to SCI people with more complex support needs.
2. Nationally, working to facilitate the link between SCI people and SIA and the network of services; referring SCI people and their families to our clinical / health expert support teams and advocacy services; working with the Digital Engagement team to build on-line links to regional partners in your area; supporting fundraising, campaigns and communications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Building strong relationships – you’ll be talking to everyone from people with SCI and their families, to healthcare professionals, solicitors and partners who deliver key services.

Role overview

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week Monday to Friday). Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.

Salary: Starting at £25,244 FTE with potential annual step increases up to £28,412, plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, the trustees consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.

Location: Rainbow Migration’s wheelchair accessible offices are based between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. You must be available to work from our offices in London when necessary. The successful candidate would also be welcome to work from the office full-time if that is their preference. PURPOSE

The Communications Lead will develop and optimise each communications channel so that the churches of St Matthew and St Paul connect well with each other and the wider community.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Working with the Rector and other clergy and staff, the Communications Lead is responsible for the following:

1. Strategy & planning

• With the Rector, prepare and implement an annual communications plan around key events and special services for the parish
• Maintain and develop the parish’s visual branding and style

2. Communications channels

• Oversee the generation of content for each channel, edit content produced by others for accuracy and appropriateness, and produce content, as required
• Website – develop the website to optimise its usefulness [NB a new website design is underway]
• Weekly Email – produce the weekly Mailchimp email
• Social Media – maintain and grow audiences on Facebook and Instagram; schedule content using Meta business suite
• Magazine – create a fun and informative printed magazine in-house three times a year (currently done using Canva)
• Video – record a weekly video message with one of the clergy, for use in the weekly email; produce other videos as and when required
• Youtube – manage the parish’s Youtube channel
• Produce materials and promote services and events across key periods in the church’s calendar (e.g. Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter), through printed and online channels
• Promote the parish’s outreach groups and events (e.g. Coffee Pot, Bumps & Babies, Have a Meal on Us and Community Day), through printed and online channels
• Produce other printed materials as necessary (e.g. leaflets, posters, flyers and roller banners), in keeping with our branding
• Photography – take pictures when required, adhering to the parish’s safeguarding and consent policies; organise church volunteers to capture images when necessary

3. Other responsibilities

• Staff the church office on Tuesdays and Thursdays (e.g. answering calls and questions from volunteers and/or people hiring the hall).
• Liaise, as necessary, with the diocesan and cathedral communications teams
• Complete all necessary training and comply fully with all safeguarding, health & safety and risk management procedures
• Attend meetings as indicated by the Rector

Purpose of the Assistant Registrar role:

As our Assistant Registrar, you will contribute towards administering the legal and logistical aspects of collections management for outward and inward loans, the maintenance of the Accessions Register, and coordinating regular auditing checks

Key responsibilities of our Assistant Registrar include:

• Support in the development and maintenance of Collection policies, procedures, and standards
• Ensure that full, proper, and legal documentation of all Museum transactions concerning Collection material is implemented in accordance with Museum policy and procedure
• Assist in the administration and monitoring of the documentation, handling, and transportation of objects in support of curatorial activities
• Help provide advice and training for Museum staff and volunteers on Collections Management

What we are looking for in our Assistant Registrar:

• Degree level qualification or equivalent experience in a museum or heritage environment
• Practical experience in museum documentation and collections management
• Experience in the use of Collections Management systems, including Collections Management databases, and literate in Microsoft packages
• Experience in an assistant registrar or documentation/collections officer post in a museum or heritage organisation
• Knowledge of UKRG reports and the Government Indemnity Scheme, and the processes involved in administering the scheme
• Experience in undertaking and coordinating storage audits within a heritage organisation
• Knowledge of Collections Management standards and able to demonstrate practical experience of their application in a heritage environment
• Experience handling a wide variety of object types and in moving, packin,g and transporting museum objects
