Katherine Low Settlement is a busy, local charity that has been serving Battersea and the wider Wandsworth community since 1924. We are dedicated to building stronger communities and enable people to challenge and find ways out of poverty and isolation.   

We run a range of our own community services to support local older people and children, young people, and their families from refugee communities. We campaign for social change. We incubate and support other charities and social businesses to thrive. Each week we work with 30+ charities and community groups supporting more than 1,000 people. 

About the Role

The Lead Youth Worker plays a key role in shaping, coordinating and delivering high-quality youth provision within the Future Foundations programme at KLS. Reporting to the Head of Future Foundations, this role combines hands-on youth work with leadership, coordination and safeguarding responsibility, ensuring that children and young people are supported through safe, inclusive and engaging activities that promote their personal, social and educational development.

You will lead on the planning, delivery and evaluation of homework clubs, youth activities, trips and holiday programmes, while line-managing and supporting two Youth Workers and supervising interns and volunteers. You will work closely with families, schools, community partners and colleagues across KLS to provide joined-up, responsive support for young people. This is a people-centred leadership role requiring strong safeguarding practice, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to build trusting relationships. You will champion youth voice, promote positive behaviour and inclusion, and contribute to continuous improvement through reflection, data and learning.

Key Responsibilities 

Youth Club & Holiday Programme 

• Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of the youth club for newly arrived young people, within Future Foundations, ensuring sessions are safe, inclusive, engaging and developmentally appropriate. 

• Develop session plans and programmes that support young people’s learning, wellbeing and confidence, using participatory and youth-led approaches. 

• Lead the delivery of the weekly youth club, including wellbeing activities, workshops and targeted interventions for newly arrived young people. 

• Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of school holiday provision, including half-term, Easter and summer programmes, ensuring appropriate staffing, safeguarding and risk management arrangements are in place. 

• Work closely with the youth caseworker to encourage engagement and participation of young people at Southfields Academy International Department with the youth club. 

Safeguarding, Behaviour & Inclusion 

• Ensure all practice aligns with safeguarding policies and supports young people’s personal, social and educational development. 

• Maintain accurate safeguarding records, risk assessments and incident reports. 

• Lead on behaviour management and restorative approaches, supporting staff, volunteers and young people to resolve issues constructively

• Deliver safeguarding briefings and provide ongoing guidance and support to volunteers and interns. 

• Promote a culture of safety, inclusion, respect and positive behaviour across all activities. 

People Management & Support 

• Line-manage and support two youth workers through regular supervision, mentoring, appraisal and performance management. 

• Support with supervising interns, including managing timetables, providing guidance and coordinating with KLS colleagues. 

• Work with the Head of Volunteering and youth team to recruit, support, train and develop volunteers and interns, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and contribute safely and confidently to activities 

• Coordinate workloads across the youth team, ensuring staff, volunteers and interns are appropriately supported, work safely and maintain consistent standards of practice.

Youth, Family & Community Engagement 

• Build strong, trusting relationships with young people and their families, ensuring clear communication and inclusive engagement. 

• Liaise with families/carers to share information about activities, expectations and support needs. 

• Build and maintain effective relationships with local youth organisations, schools and partner agencies. 

• Represent KLS at relevant meetings, forums and community events. 

• Refer young people and families to internal casework, advice or external services as appropriate. 

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting 

• Support the Head of Future Foundations with monitoring outcomes, collecting feedback and using data to improve programme quality. 

• Maintain accurate records, including registers, consent forms and monitoring data. 

• Contribute to internal and external reporting, including funder and trustee reports. 

• Contribute evidence, case studies and monitoring information to funding applications, reports and evaluation processes. 

• Ensure the voices, experiences and ideas of young people inform programme development, decision-making and evaluation. 

Resources, Budgets & Planning 

• Monitor expenditure and manage resources, equipment and activity budgets in line with agreed financial procedures. 

• Ensure effective use of resources and value for money across youth provision. 

• Support the planning of annual programmes of activity in collaboration with colleagues, young people and families. 

Collaboration & Organisational Contribution 

• Work closely with colleagues across Future Foundations to provide high-quality, joined-up support. 

• Coordinate the School Years Working Group, supporting colleagues to share learning, collaborate effectively and deliver consistent, high-quality programmes across Future Foundations.

• Communicate effectively across teams to enhance service delivery and organisational learning. 

• Participate in supervision, appraisals, training and reflective practice.

Person Specification 

Essential Experience 

• Experience of working with refugee communities and/or children and young people and/or other vulnerable groups, with a strong focus on placing participants’ needs at the centre of service planning and delivery. 

• Experience of planning, delivering and contributing to reporting for projects within the voluntary or community sector (preferably with refugee or sanctuary-seeking communities). 

• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high professional standards. 

• Experience of working sensitively with young people affected by mental health challenges and past trauma, with an empathetic, non-judgemental approach and the ability to build supportive but appropriately boundaried relationships. 

• Up-to-date knowledge of best practice in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and the ability to apply this in practice. 

• Confident IT skills, including use of the Microsoft Office suite, email, internet-based tools and social media. 

• Commitment to KLS’s mission, vision and values. 

• Passion for social justice, education and championing the strengths of families from refugee and sanctuary-seeking communities. 

Desirable Experience 

• Demonstrable experience of managing and supporting volunteers. 

• A recognised qualification in youth work, teaching or a related field. 

• Experience of monitoring and evaluating projects, including collecting evidence of impact and contributing to reports for funders. 

• Ability to communicate in another language, particularly Arabic, Somali, Farsi, Amharic and/or Tigrinya. 

• Knowledge of Battersea, Wandsworth or similar local communities.

About KLS’ Future Foundations education team 

Future Foundations is an education programme of Katherine Low Settlement. Since 2004, KLS’ Future Foundations education team of 10 part-time staff and over 100 volunteers, have supported young refugees and their families in Battersea and the London Borough of Wandsworth to thrive in their education. Through mentoring, family support, casework and homework clubs, we provide the tailored support each young person and their family (if they have one) needs to overcome the barriers to education they face at home and school. 

Key Objectives for this Role 

Working closely with the Lead Youth Worker and Youth Worker you will help create safe, engaging and inclusive opportunities for children and young people to learn, build confidence and develop positive relationships. 

Homework Clubs 

• Support the running and planning of two weekly homework clubs for children age 5 - 14.

• Contribute to the development of engaging session plans and learning activities. 

• Research and source resources and materials to support activities and learning.

• Support to plan and run engaging and fun activities/ongoing projects for children attending the clubs.

• Use participatory approaches to ensure young people help shape activities and programme development.

• Encourage children and young people to take ownership of activities and contribute to decision-making within the clubs Implement our behaviour management policy and work from a trauma informed perspective. 

• Support the registration and onboarding of new participants, ensuring records and consent information are accurate and up to date Liaise with families/carers when necessary. 

• Maintain accurate records, registers, case studies, feedback, photographs and other monitoring information in line with organisational requirements and funding obligations.

• Maintain excellent safeguarding practices. 

• Support the wider Future Foundations team to identify support needs and make referrals to appropriate external services and partner organisations.

About the role 
This is a senior leader role which will lead the development and maintenance of the charity’s  digital platforms and internal infrastructure, ensuring that we create the best possible experience  for our users. This will include oversight of our internal IT systems: our Salesforce CRM, the Hub virtual  learning environment for pupils, tutors and teachers on our programmes, and the Tutor Zone onboarding platform for our tutors. The role will require working closely with colleagues across the  organisation to ensure that the technology developments are well planned and fit with the needs  of the charity. You will manage a small technology team including web developers and  Salesforce administrators, alongside managing our external IT support provider. You will champion  the charity’s values and embody them in interactions with colleagues. You will be willing to learn  and have a can-do attitude. 

The role requires a driven and focused leader, with experience in managing the development of  software. They will be an experienced technology professional, with a proven track record in  scoping and managing technology projects, ensuring information security, and maintaining a  keen interest in emerging technologies and industry trends. Candidates for this role should be  comfortable working in a busy, efficient and high-performing team.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to grow support for our work in the UK and internationally. 

You will lead the implementation of our 2026–2028 fundraising strategy, develop compelling supporter journeys and creating inspiring propositions that connect donors with the difference their generosity makes. Working closely with the CEO, Senior Management Team and Fundraising Committee, you will bring focus, energy and professional fundraising expertise to a charity with a loyal supporter base and significant potential for growth. 

Key Details:

Location:  UK (Flexible: Remote or Hybrid if preferred). There will be a few in-person meetings/events in our London office or other specific venues each year, with flexibility to work where convenient (office or home) most of the time. 

Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week (0.6 FTE). Flexibility over how hours are distributed across the week.

Salary:  £37,000 – £43,000 FTE, pro rata (c. £22,200 - £25,800 for 3 days per week), depending on experience

The Employment & Skills Manager will lead the development and delivery of our current and future Employment & Skills programmes, overseeing the successful delivery of the existing EFL Training Ground, Future Dons, DIVERT and Street Soccer projects.

A key aspect of the role will be to support the development of the Foundation's exciting new Health & Community Hub at the stadium, helping to shape a vibrant, inclusive space that promotes education, employability, health and wellbeing. This will include contributing to the creation of dedicated mentoring spaces and exploring the potential development of a Youth Hub in partnership with a range of stakeholders, creating new opportunities for young people and the wider community.

Working collaboratively across Foundation departments and with external partners, the Employment & Skills Manager will embed a consistent Work Experience and Volunteering pathway across the organisation, expand the Foundation's mentoring offer to schools, and develop innovative programmes that respond to local community needs while strengthening partnerships and maximising social impact.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the development and growth of Employment & Skills projects, including the effective line management of the Employment & Skills Team members. Leading various mentoring and skills development projects and sessions.
• Drive programme design, delivery, and quality assurance in consultation with stakeholders, internal teams, and beneficiaries.
• Work with key internal staff to develop and embed a clear process, pathway and framework for volunteering and work experience across the organisation. Training staff to implement an effective framework that supports young adults to take early steps into the industry.
• Regular monitoring of staff performance and development to ensure all are working towards meeting programme objectives and KPI’s. Building a high-performing and collaborative team, fostering a culture of resilience, togetherness and constant improvement.
• Oversee all programme budgets, ensuring cost-effective and compliant use of funds. Ensuring all programmes are delivered within budget
•  Monitor financial projections, reporting, and adherence to contractual obligations and funder/donor requirements.
• Develop and oversee Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning frameworks to assess impact. Preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders as required.

• Responsible for quality assurance of the projects ensuring the needs of each partner are met. Regular monitoring of staff performance and development to ensure all are working towards meeting programme objectives and KPI’s.
•  Be the Designated Safeguarding Officer for Employment & Skills projects, liaising with associated partner Safeguarding Team’s to ensure a clear line of reporting to AFC Wimbledon Foundation Safeguarding Team. Ensuring all activity is suitably risk assesses.

Group work

Purpose

The Living Wage Foundation is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Media and Communications Manager to join our team for a 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and proactive communications professional with a strong background in media relations, public messaging, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will be experienced and confident in working to tight deadlines, responding to last-minute changes, and prioritising competing demands in a high-profile environment. In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing our political engagement efforts, building cross-party support and working with political leaders, mayoral teams, and other key stakeholders to promote our initiatives. They are now looking to recruit an Senior SEND Delivery Coordinator to oversee the delivery of high quality, stimulating, safe services for a range of children and young people in Leatherhead and Epsom.

As Senior Delivery Coordinator you will plan and deliver a structured programme of enjoyable, recreational, high-quality activities to meet the needs of children and young people with additional needs and disabilities who attend Short Breaks clubs. You will coordinate and take responsibility for the planning, allocation of places, and sufficient staffing to ensure safe delivery of Short Breaks clubs, and will assist in the recruitment, training and ongoing development of the Disability staff team. You will have responsibility for processing new referrals, initial assessments, individual care plans and any associated risk assessments or specialist plans to ensure individual needs are met.

This exciting and rewarding role will require a passion for working with SEND as well as excellent coordination skills to manage the delivery of high quality, stimulating, safe services. Please note, this role will be 35 hours per week:
Term time hours: Tuesday-Saturday, or Wednesday- Sunday (09:00 – 17:00) on a rota basis with one weekend day each week (max 35 weeks)
School holidays hours: Monday–Friday (09:00 – 17:00) (minimum 17 weeks)

JOB TITLE: Digital Communications Officer

DEPARTMENT: Chelsea FC Foundation 

LOCATION: Stamford Bridge / Cobham when required 

CONTRACT: Permanent (35 hours - evening and weekend work when required. For example, evening community sessions or matchday support. On average 1x evening/weekend activity per month with TOIL)

JOB FUNCTION: Supporting the delivery of Chelsea FC Foundation’s communications strategy, by coordinating a variety of compelling internal and external digital communications activity, in relation to Chelsea FC Foundation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leading on the creation of high-quality written communications, including website copy, which highlight the impact of Chelsea FC Foundation’s work across internal and external channels.
• Maintaining internal and external channels, such as website and newsletters, ensuring copy remains up-to-date and aligned with Chelsea FC Foundation’s strategic objectives.
• Developing engaging digital communications activity including social media copy and assets to be utilised across Chelsea FC Foundation’s channels.
• Overseeing the planning, creation, and delivery of Chelsea FC Foundation’s digital communications assets, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and consistency across all initiatives.
• Maintaining Chelsea FC Foundation’s suite of digital communications assets such as imagery.
• Supporting all Chelsea FC Foundation departments through impact-based digital communications activity.
• Carrying out general administrative and research duties related to communications activity including detailed communications plans.
• To attend internal and external meetings as appropriate, creating strong relationships with key departments and stakeholders.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Experience / skills:

Must haves:

• Proven digital communications experience, preferably within the sports and/or charity industry.
• Relevant digital communications experience including website maintenance and working with CMS and additional software such as Adobe and Canva.
• A natural storyteller with a particular passion for football and sport’s role within the community.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven track record of working to tight deadlines and demonstrate strong copywriting, proof reading and researching skills.
• Able to work alongside internal and external stakeholders and manage expectations.
• Experience of working with talent and adhering to high professional standards when doing so.
• Can think quickly and be decisive in high pressure situations, delivering to deadlines.
• Able to deal with sensitive situations tactfully and maintain confidentially at all times.
• Very strong attention to detail.
• IT self-sufficiency and fluent in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook essential.
