Purpose of the job
This role creates a positive impact for young people by providing practical and operational support for the delivery of Year 3 of the Summer Jobs programme. The post holder will contribute to effective coordination, administration and delivery by managing key processes, systems and communications, supporting partners and internal teams, and helping to ensure delivery is well organised, safe and compliant throughout the summer period.
Working closely with the Summer Jobs Programme Manager and colleagues across Network Delivery, you will support delivery through coordination of partners, contracts, due diligence and training activity. You will manage programme communications and inboxes, support relationship building with referral partners, and contribute to marketing, resources and learning materials. You will support issue management during delivery, gather insights from delivery activity, and contribute to continuous improvement of the programme offer for young people.
The Summer Jobs Programme (funded by the Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) (YEF) and Youth Futures Foundation (YFF)) offers young people, aged 16-20 who are at risk of violence, a six-week paid work placement. The programme aims to improve the young person’s wellbeing and mental health while supporting them with employability skills and self-confidence. The young person is supported by a dedicated youth worker as part of their placement.
Planning is now underway for the 2026 programme, which aims to support a further 860 young people through placements across England and Wales. The initiative draws inspiration from successful programmes in the US and builds on the achievements of the first two years years. The Summer Jobs Programme has engaged over 800 young participants since its inception in 2024

About the role

AmplifyChange has an exciting new job opportunity for a Grants Manager to join our dynamic team of dedicated sexual and reproductive health and rights specialists. The Grants Manager will be responsible for accompanying grantee partner organisations through the grant making process; from assessing funding applications to providing performance and risk oversight for a portfolio of SRHR advocacy grants. In addition, the Grants Manager provides technical expertise for grantees on organisational strengthening and advocacy and campaigning. Key to the role is the sharing of knowledge across the portfolio and monitoring of grantee partners. Job holders will work closely with the team of Grants Officers to ensure grants move efficiently through the grant management cycle, alongside the broader AmplifyChange team. The Grants Manager reports to the Head of Grant making. Fluency in French is essential for this role due to AmplifyChange operating as a bilingual fund. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage a portfolio of international grants, ensuring compliance with internal procedures
2. Provide high quality technical SRHR support and coaching to groups to support them throughout the grant including preparing for contracting and regular performance reviews

WORKING ARRANGEMENTS
This is a UK based, full time (37.5 hours/week) permanent position, reporting to the Head of Grant Making. AmplifyChange is based in Bath, and we operate on a hybrid working model which would include coming to the office at least once a week. Position: S11331 Engagement Officer

The Role
Reporting to the Engagement Lead for Scotland, you will raise awareness of stroke and the support offers, engage with key stakeholders to gain a better understanding of the needs of stroke survivors in rural communities across the Highlands to develop a model of approach that can be utilised to reach more stroke survivors and their families across rural Scotland.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Raising awareness of universal services and resources with stroke survivors and carers.
- Working with both primary and secondary care healthcare professionals, ensuring they know what resources and services are available to signpost patients to, including our Helpline, telephone befriending, online community and activities.
- Listening to a wide network of stakeholders, including charities, healthcare professionals and community networks, to raise the profile of stroke and create a report on identified local needs.
- Gaining a better understanding of the best way to reach and support people affected by stroke in remote and rural communities, informing work nationally.
- Identifying and recruiting stroke survivors/carers who are willing to share their lived experience and act as Connectors.
- Helping Connectors set up and run novel support services (e.g café groups, cooking classes) in their local community.
About You
You will have experience of:

In2research is a high impact and evidence informed social mobility programme for socioeconomically disadvantaged people to access and progress in postgraduate study. Our mission is to drive sector change across institutions towards an inclusive research culture. We strongly believe that it is not enough to guide underrepresented people into postgraduate study, but to ensure that the culture they are entering is inclusive and a place where they can thrive. Over a year, we support participants to gain vital access to both knowledge and opportunities including a paid 8-week research placement and subject specific mentoring.
As the In2research Alumni Officer, you will deliver a programme of continued support for the In2research participants increasing their ability to apply and be admitted to postgraduate research degrees and opportunities, as well as supporting our mission to foster an increased sense of belonging within the research community for individuals from minority groups. The post holder will have strong knowledge and understanding of the barriers facing young people from low socioeconomic and minority backgrounds accessing postgraduate research degrees and research opportunities.
The post holder will be someone who thrives working with young people and is passionate about supporting them progress to postgraduate research opportunities as well as supporting to achieve the In2research vision of creating a more diverse culture in academia.
